Going there, I knew it was a shared bathroom facility, so I was prepared for it, since I was not staying for long it was perfect for me. Just a quick use in morning after bed and off to sight-seeing. Taj and Gateway is at stones throw distance. Leopold cafe is just 5 minute walk. CSMT and Churchgate very nearby(get shared taxi, if you want to save extra buck). Staff was good, however, they do ask strictly if couple is married. I don't know what happens to the one who aren't. All in all good value for money, if you want to stay near main attractions and want easy commute to the city.

Nothing for me. It met every expectation that I had. Bathroom for a shared facility was bit small but given it's in Mumbai I guess small room is the norm.

The manager Raju was the most welcoming person ever. attentive, helpful and very kind. However first impression must be disappointing the place grows up in feelings. it’s not a 5 star hotel. Location is excellent +++ and the staff are great. Rooms are big and clean and beds are extremely comfortable. if you are looking for a good place to stay in a great location the Carlton Hotel ticks all boxes. Don’t expect European standards. This is India and it’s great value for money. I’ll come back :)

People working there are really nice, the location is great, and the common balcony is a real plus.

It is maybe not the most confortable place but the price ,the people and the location makes it a good option in this part of Mumbai.

We love staying at the Carlton when in Mumbai Raju always looks after us and is very friendly and welcoming. The balcony is fab for a bit if people watching. The shared facilities are always clean. See you soon x

Large twin double beds with quiet A/C and fan. Great balcony overlooking the bustling street scene as crowds of people queued up for Kebabs and Birianis at Badamiya. There are 3 shared bathrooms. The one at the far end is the best. It has a proper walk-in shower Loads of hot water Free tea and coffee machine Rajiv is an excellent host

We arrived late and were initially offered a small room with a single double bed. We opted to take an interior room with 2 single beds and a very noisy fan. It was during Christmas/New Year when you are paying double the usual rate.

Position exceptional, very nice balcony with free tea and coffee. We came at 7am, they gave us the room immediately without additional payment, they kept our luggage until 8pm next day. The manager brought us a beer on a bank holiday.

The sheets were not clean.

Comfortable rooms and a very helpful staff. Hotel is situated at a great location. Walking distance to some of the iconic spots of Mumbai.

The location is excellent in the heart of Colaba. The rooms are bright clean and spacious. The shared bathroom facilities are clean

Could be better value

the property is just in colava and it is super practical to explore that zone of Mumbai ( Gateaway of India just behind the corner )

it is a little bit noisy during day time due to the heavy traffic of Mumbai but it is still a super lovely property

Awesome location. Perfect for the main heritage central area and nightlife. Super friendly and supportive staff. Would recomend.
