Great setting right in the jungle. You are surrounded by tree frogs, monkeys and wonderful birds. Sounds of the jungle surround you making for a very atmospheric stay. Rooms were rustic but charming. Lemongrass oil and a burner were a lovely addition to keeping the mozzies away, as well as very nice smelling soap in the large bathroom. We stayed 3 weeks in India and this was the only property that had consistent hot water available. The restaurant serves delicious food, especially the kombucha. There are free water refills, as well as yoga and Ayurvedic treatments on offer. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, aware of bus timetables, calling rickshaws and a smooth checkin. The property is 5 mins walk away from the beach.

Currently there is a lot of construction taking place, however staff are aware and offered to make a room change. Due to the jungle setting, it is exceptionally humid - whilst there are fans in the rooms, everything still remains damp.

Nice jungly nature. My cabin was rustic, with ok bed, mosquito net, and basic fan, some basic furniture and a hammock on the porch. There was access to the shared fridge and one ring cooker by the dorm. Free drinking water. Lovely yoga platform in the trees, with excellent morning classes from Manel, running most mornings. Pretty good restaurant. Professional friendly staff

I felt it was a bit expensive, even for peak season considering it is so basic e.g fan only had high speed. And i didn't like having to pay for it all, up front, 'right now', a few days before arrival.

It was so peaceful and the staff were very friendly and help food. The food was amazing and deliciously healthy. I wanted to have a quite escape and it was perfect for that, Nice and close so some beautiful beaches but further enough away that you can still have the quiet.

I stayed in the shared bunks during the time of the Ganesh festival, there are no solid walls on that room so I was hard to sleep with all the noise going on out side

Bhakti Kutir was a gem of a spot - our room was spacious and the mosquito net around the bed invaluable. The whole site feels like living in a forest and each hut had plenty of seating options outside. I really enjoyed sitting in the hammock enjoying the rain (we went in monsoon season). The restaurant/cafe on site was great and staff super friendly. Best place we have stayed on our travels in India yet!

Do you want some jungle experience? This is the place to get that. It’s very quiet and there is trees everywhere. The cottage is super pretty and chill with an outside seating area. The staff is soo friendly and funny and helpful. I really felt at home. The food in the restaurant is super delicious with lots of vegan options. Loved doing the yoga there, which they have everyday. Location is amazing.

It was a bit too dark in the room

The staff is extremely accomodating and kind. I loved this property because of how flexible and understanding the staff is, they are not trying to dupe you, they are trying their best to give you what you want. The food is delicious and this is different than any place you'll stay in palolem.

This is an experience more than anything else. While making the booking I considered the rooms to be similar or almost same to the ones I saw in the photos, however the rooms are different, and while we got the last room on the property we were not thrilled because we were expecting slightly upscale for 4400/. Additionally there was an event happening and it happened to be taking place right outside the room we we're staying we were not the biggest fans, considering we just had that day to go about and we definitely weren't expecting that room and it's amenities to be that basic. Exceptional location, lush setting. Super friendly and welcoming staff. Great food. Large, comfortable, super pleasant and nicely equipped cabins. Friendly and open restaurant area. Best of both worlds: the jungle feel + the nearby and gentle Palolem beach.

I had to leave it, eventually. (sigh)

Location is great, really close to both Patnem and Palolem beaches. Food at the cafe is really good. Yoga classes are great too - particularly the Airoyoga!

The mosquitos are horrendous and because all the rooms are very open it’s hard to avoid them. The staff give you mosquito repent incense and there are nets around the bed but we still got eaten alive!

+ The reception team (Ram) and all the team restaurant and other workers here are really nice. + I felt safe as travelling alone + The place is friendly and original location for a quiet time, including both dorms and double rooms. I initially booked a dorm with booking and extended my stay to a double room afterwards. Mostly stayed in the place, did not go outside + The food is vegan in line with the location spirit and really super good (even if I am not a vegan). Restaurant price is in the average acceptable for quality that is amazingly good, hopefully it does not get higher in the future to keep the willingness to stay here. + yoga classes everyday + lovely people work and leave there too, which makes a particular atmosphere as a village + not to far from the beach through a forest path

- if you are backpack travelling, you need to walk a little bit from the bus stop of Palolem so try to arrive early morning or after 4pm to avoid hot weather but worth the location - some mice or squirrel dejection in the room shelves and they ate one of my bag containing gifts for friends; but the place being literally merged inside nature so I don't think they can really prevent it. So I locked my stuffs and bags the next days in the given locker box. -> I was not paid for this comment, ahah! :)

What a place - a little paradise hidden in the jungle. I stayed much longer than planned. The private rooms are great, as are the dorms. Loads of nice activities happening throughout the week. A short walk to several different beaches. Staff are brilliant and made the stay very memorable. Amazing food at the restaurant.

The dorm bathrooms are heavily used which can be a nuisance at times. It's in the jungle so expect lots of wildlife.
