The hotel is very comfortably situated - just near the finest and very clean beach. Although it needs insignificant renovation, total atmosphere is charming. Hotel territory is quite big and green. Room is quite spacious and comfortable.

The breakfast is very poor for European minded guests. Lots of Indian food (mainly bread, pankakes, dal and vegetarian curry) is supported only by eggs, bacon a little bit of cheese and sausages. The bed was extremely hard. The staff is not very attentive: several times we asked for cleaning the room and they failed to do it on time. Also there are swarms of crows, which sometimes are very aggressive.

Everyone here is extremely friendly, which makes using all the great facilities an even nicer experience! From morning breakfast with amazing dosas from Prasad, lovingly made pancakes from Trivendra, and a very attentive waiting team, to lunch at Castaway with Vaibhav and the others, drinks at the pool bar, sunset at the beautiful expanse of white sandy beach, and dinner at Carnaval served by Mayank, the whole day at Caravela is pure pleasure. We stayed in one of the villas, which offered plenty of space for our family. The kids loved the comfy beds and sofa to lounge on, the cleaning team was very good, too. We appreciated our morning coffee from the Lavazza coffee maker before heading to the breakfast buffet with a spread of fresh fruit, eggs to order and all kinds of continental and Indian options. We stayed for 5 nights and spent the mornings at the pool which is nice and clean. A short foot path takes you to the beautiful long beach with a restaurant and beach shack (we didn't eat there, see below). The water is shallow so ideal even for smaller kids. We spent hours just playing in the waves, bodyboarding and then watching the sunset. We rented bikes one day as the sand is firm enough to bike on at low tide, but the relatively poor quality of the bikes made it much harder than necessary so our kids didn't enjoy that part. I asked to borrow a yoga mat for myself at the spa for the 5 days we were there, and the staff there again made me feel like there's nothing too much to ask. The kids took part in some of the activities offered by the Children's Activity Center which adds a nice change to their daily routine of pool and beach: paper art, towel origami, scavenger hunt and cupcake decoration were appreciated by kids and parents alike. We had initially booked for a shorter time, Duty Manager Joanna really went above and beyond to make an additional night at the villa possible, which made our life a lot easier.

As in most bigger hotels in Goa, winter is wedding season and we had two separate 2-day wedding celebrations taking place during our stay. While most of the action was somewhere on the sprawl of land between the beach and the hotel and doesn't bother you too much, some parts took place either very close to or on the beach, which meant that the accompanying music / noise makes it a lot harder to enjoy your time there, e.g. have dinner at the beach. We opted to go to one of the other shacks further down the beach to avoid the noise.

I liked the sandy beach, it's really clean and natural. One suggestion is that you must have staff. Having staff will make things easier to cater.

hi there. the property is very nice and far from city, which makes is more peaceful. the fact that there are so many foreigners living in the property, please make sure all of us get the same treatment. I mean I literally saw someone pulling back a dining chair for some random foreigner guest, which was really awkward because she did not pull back my chair. Such discrimination with the guests is not right. all guests should be treated equally.

First and foremost the grounds … the 24 acres are beautifully maintained on a daily basis. There are plenty of sunbeds in all areas of the hotel (pool, beach, green areas, outside the villas, plus hammocks to relax and recharge whilst taking in the lush green scenery). The actual resort building is also beautiful in architecture. The resort offers a whole host of activities to keep you occupied during the day including golf, mini golf, tennis, taking a bike out onto the beach or crafts and classes. Some of the activities are free of charge and some of them are paid for. Either way, there is an abundance of things to do to keep you entertained and occupied throughout the day if relaxing is not your thing. If relaxing is your thing then there is plenty of space for that too! There’s also the spa (and we thoroughly enjoyed the Indian full body massage) and also a gym and steam room. The hotel have golf buggies that can take you around the resort from one place to the next upon request. The variety of restaurants is also great so you can have Indian, Pan Asian, Italian or Seafood and more! The food really is quality and simply flavorsome and delicious. For breakfast it's buffet style, with a number of Indian stations where the food is cooked fresh for example Dosa, Paratha and then also an omelette station and a pancake/waffle station. Again the food is in its abundance and delicious and the staff are very attentive to any extra needs you may have depending on your dietary requirements. The service here is exceptional. The staff are friendly and ready to attend your every need but without being invasive. They really have understood good customer service and are ready to help in anyway to make your stay the most enjoyable possible. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Caravela and were made to feel most welcome.

Suggestions to further improve the experience at the Caravela: 1. A rail on the balcony where you can hang your wet clothes. 2. Breakfast and dinner buffets starting earlier at 7 am/p.m respectively. 3. Having 24/7 access to the gym. Opening at 8am is too late for early risers or those who have other activities or tours booked. Same goes for the mini golf and beach bikes- better to do these activities earlier at 6/7am to beat the heat. 4. When booking taxis to popular tourist spots, the travel desk staff should know and advise the best time to go so as not to miss specific opening times … we went to the Basilica and the Cathedral on a Sunday morning to beat the heat, but they weren’t open to visitors until 11am so we missed seeing them from the inside as we were far too early.

Overall food is quite nice and of good quality, excellent fruits. Really nice green areas, lookout points, nice pool area, (although quite loud music), nice green space with small pitch and putt 9 hole course, and good access to the beach. Rooms are nice with very very very very nice comfy beds and quick and excellent housekeeping. Staff who we really liked and were corteous and very helpful: dinning room Mashewar, and specially Jharna and Antika. Genevie from housekeeping was outstanding, best room up keeping 5*. From Activity center Shana and Rochelle are very sweet. Deepak the golf instructor he is very nice too, worth it to go for a round

This stretch or Varca beach has quite a lot of trash when compared with the more northern part where other resorts are. The activity center is very small dark and run down, really not a nice place to go or leave your children at if it wasn't because of the staff, it is really not a nice place, with games and furniture very old and deteriorated. Continental breakfast area (waffle and pancake work terribly) Spa treatments and organization and schedule are not up to a normal standard. Certain staff were quite pushy and overbearing.

Right on the beach and the staff were fabulous.. very comfortable and welcoming. Gorgeous pool.

Too many noisy wedding parties. It was interesting to start with but after 4 days the drums were getting us down!

Our stay at Beach Caravela Resort was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed, and every aspect of our experience exceeded our expectations. The resort provided the perfect setting for relaxation and enjoyment, with its beautiful surroundings and serene atmosphere. The food was a highlight of our stay—each meal was thoughtfully prepared, offering a delightful variety of flavours and dishes that we thoroughly enjoyed. The culinary experience truly added to the charm of our time at the resort. What truly made our stay special, however, was the outstanding hospitality of the hotel staff. Every member of the team was attentive, courteous, and genuinely committed to ensuring our comfort and satisfaction. Their thoughtful gestures and consistent care made us feel valued and well taken care of throughout our visit. Overall, we had an incredible time at Beach Caravela Resort and created memories we will cherish for a long time. We’re grateful for such a wonderful experience and would gladly return in the future.

The resort is extremely well run and Proffesional. All the staff were excellent as was our garden room. Congratulations to the gardening team as well as they work tirelessly and the grounds are very well Maintained. The location is good and there are about 5 beach bars/restaurants within a 10 walking distance. The breakfast was very good but they could do with a few more tables outside .the pool area is lovely.

Unfortunately they do cater for weddings at the weekends which are quite noisy when you want to relax. We didn’t enjoy the hotels beach bar as they were very slow. Otherwise all was good.

I really don’t know where to begin on my review to fit into words how incredible our stay actually was at Caravela resort I read so many reviews about this place and this place is absolutely everything you can dream of so ill try be logical and help with the important parts On arrival it’s incredible very beautiful indeed and the staff were very attentive and extremely friendly Our taxi collection was super easy and very comfortable reception staff were great and we had no trouble checking in at all it was literally 20 mins if that then we had staff drive us on a buggy cart to our room the resort is so huge it’s incredible The room was so clean and comfortable and had all the useful things we needed The food was 10/10 in every place we ate and the prices are reasonable the restaurant assistant manager lianne was absolutely amazing she helped my husband arrange a private dinner on the beach and it blown me away she also arranged Lucy to help dress me in my saree for my evening dining at the beach Thankyou so much Service was so efficient and babyrose was just incredible with us The taxi service is there for a reason we did choose to use the hotel taxis it really wasn’t a problem it was a little more expensive however it was comfortable and very safe and professional The resort did have events every day however it did not interrupt our stay what so ever and we actually enjoyed watching them We had a sea view room so we was in ear shot of the events and we could barely hear it The beach was gorgeous and it was clean Such a great location You could spend so much time here relaxing and making wonderful memories we never got bored The pool is great and the staff were great too The hotel takes privacy very seriously so any invasion of privacy was dealt with immediately although we never had a problem with this at all If you want luxury great service and the most beautiful surroundings full of greenery and immaculate scenery then book here you won’t regret it at all...

First of all the staff: corteous, competent, smiling: in the dining hall, on the beach premises, in the lobby. During our stay at the hotel there have also been some busy days: staff members didn't change attitude: they always met us with a smile, a kind word, trying to take care of a wish or the expressed need. A special compliment goes to Babyrose, Antika and Uday who made us "feel at home". Then we liked the wonderful, long, sandy beach, perfect for walks and enjoy the arabic sea. For those who like to swim it's a very good place: you can have nice swims both in the sea (usually calm, warm water) and in the large pool of the hotel: we never found it overcrowded; there were separate, bounded areas for children and adults. We also liked the food. We stayed for six nights so we decided to have three dinners at hotel enjoying the buffet and went out for three other nights. Along the beach, within walking distance there are various schacks which serve good food, especially fish and, if you wish (as we did) you can enjoy it right on the shore, in front of the sea. But also the food served at the buffet of the resort was good and varied with many indian - and goan - dishes. Same to say for the breakfast with a pretty big choice were you could have indian specialities or more - for us - traditionals like bread, toasts, cakes, butter, eggs or whatever (including fresh fruit juices). Last but not least, we appreciated together with the huge, lush garden (and the many birds), the cleanliness of the property: there was allways somebody around cleaning or tyding up.

A little minus was the plastic shower curtain in the bathroom and the music, at times a little loud, of the wedding parties, but usually didn't last too long.
