The location is amazing, right on Lake Pichola a short walk from the heart of the city. It’s a calm location, even though it’s just metres from the bustle of town.It’s worth paying extra for a lake view room. Room 203 has a miniature ‘pavilion seat’ over the lake. The old haveli paintings low on the walls are incorporated into the decor - and are just like the ones in the nearby Bagore ki Haveli museum. A large spacious bathroom and nice having a kettle. The terrace for breakfast etc is wonderful and the light over the lake in the mornings is extraordinary.

There is rather a shortage of electric sockets. Just one usable socket for recharging in our room. Otherwise all good.

My husband and I spent two days at Kankarwa and absolutely loved it. The location couldn’t be better—everything we wanted to see and eat was just a short walk away. The haveli has so much old-world charm, and the view from the place is just stunning. Breakfast was simple but really tasty, and our room had a private balcony, which was such a nice bonus. The AC could’ve been better, but the staff were super helpful and the owner was nice as well. All in all, a great stay—would definitely go back!

The location, especially the view out over the lake from our room and the roof terrace and the sunset. It is also right in the centre of town within easy walking distance of the City Palace and Bagore ki haveli. The rooms are well restored. The public areas are extensive and enlivened by many potplants. The food is good but not special. Staff are friendly but sometimes slow to act. The restaurant staff were the most helpful. We will certainly stay here if/when we return to Udaipur.

The windows were so dirty we could hardly see out, hence the low mark for cleanliness. The facilities in the room are basic and there are annoying rules about drinking in the room (why provide a kettle but nothing else?). We waited a day for a heater to be provided. There is some noise from nearby restaurants but dies down late evening.

For the price, the location is amazing with the spanning view of the lake and Udaipur (depending on your booked rooms) and uber-close to Udaipur City Palace but the place has rooftop restaurants for you to submerge in the view and atmosphere. The restaurant is guests-only, serving all-day if I remember correctly.

Breakfast, we think that can have more variety. Noted that there is no elevator but staffs will assist you with your luggage and big car is not allowed in this area.

though it was mentioned that there would be stair climbing ,we being all senior citizens,it was a bit difficult at times.

The location is perfect. Situated right on the lake, our room overlooked the Taj Palace. It was a truly beautiful room and view. There was a rooftop restaurant with complimentary breakfast. The hotel arranged our airport pick up and drop off which made things so easy for us.

We were there during a Shiva festival and a Bollywood star’s wedding, so our first night was a bit noisy. Also, our toilet was a bit finicky to flush, but really not a huge deal.

From start to finish our stay was wonderful. They even tried their best to give me the room I had asked for based on the pictures, and truly it was even better in person. We woke up to a stunning view both days. Having stayed at 2 places in Udaipur, this is the best place to stay if you want a homely vibe, as you will be staying amongst the family. The in-house restaurant is so peaceful, and in my opinion the best place to enjoy the view (I don’t believe they serve outside guests). My partner had a nut allergy, and they made food from scratch for us because their kitchen was essentially the family kitchen. We ended up having most of our meals here. As a bonus, they’re able to arrange everything you need (taxis, ironing, laundry). It’s also right next to City Palace and set within the old city. I hope I haven’t misrepresented anything here, but I’d recommend this place to anyone in an instant.

Nothing - it was a truly exceptional stay.

The reception were really helpful with communication before I checked in. They allowed me to check in early after a night train and leave my bags after checkout. Room was beautiful.

The floor could have been swept, but that was likely due to them turning the room around quickly for me. Restaurant could be better, with more options and more staff for quicker service. But was a beautiful view, and staff were all very nice and helpful.

I was super impressed by the level of service. The staff went above and beyond in providing a place for us to rest when we arrived 6 hours before check-in, arranging an airport drop-off for us, and checking in during our stay. The haveli itself is very conveniently located in Gangaur Ghat close to Bagore ki Haveli, City Palace, and all central locations. The rooftop offers great views of Lake Pichola and and Taj Lake Palace.

The property is a beautiful old building pretty well maintained right on the lake. Beautiful to sit and just watch the sunsets and take in the scenery. Lots of great touristy shops close by. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Food was basic but nice quality, and a limited menu.

Was a little noisy at night but I think that is just Udaipur. Was woken up most nights by dogs fighting and howling in the street, The showers could be a little cleaner.
