Stay at Mamalla Heritage is absolutely out of the world. I had an amazing experience staying with them. The amenities provided, service by staff with coordination & calm, and hotel at a prime location was worth the price. It is near the bus stand and just 5 minutes walking to Krishna's butter ball. Hotel is on a local street but the on the inside its a luxurious experience. The chef went out his way to prepare packed lunch for us, which we was appreciated. Not only did i fancy the prompt room-service but the highlight of my stay was the swimming pool with the best view. I had a wonderful experience staying at the Mamalla Heritage and highly recommend a stay here when in Mahabalipuram

Absolutely No Complaints

Great location and venue. All the staff were doing their best to look after guests. Rooms, pool, and restaurant all clean, comfortable and tidy.

The fridge wasn't working. After a couple of missed visits by the tech reception rang at 9.15pm to ask if tech could come to the room. We declined as we were in bed but he came and knocked on the door anyway. We asked for toilet paper, water, tea bags and a sheet on day 2. These things arrived randomly throughout the day and the sheet didn't come at all. House keeping was offered at 3.30pm. The batteries in the air con remote didn't work. We asked for them to be changed and were given them back unchanged. They worked for two minutes then no go again. Everyone is really trying to do their best but there don't seem to be very good systems in place to get the basics done well. Other than that it was a very enjoyable stay and staff were friendly and well meaning.

Great location. Close to most of the tourist attractions. Beach within a few minutes walk. Lots of restaurants and shops around hotel. Spacious clean rooms. Comfortable bed. Nice pool with pool towels Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice including eggs, dosa and puri freshly cooked. Helpful staff.

No safe in room. Pool could be cleaner. Hot water in shower took a while to flow. No hand towels. Lack of sun loungers and umbrellas.

Mr.Shankar ,the Manager was very polite and ensured that we were comfortable...The swimming pool was neat and clean...The room later allotted to us was very good...The staff at the restaurants were very polite and service was very good......the support staff were also good....the overall ambience was good.

The staff at the front desk were not very polite...the furniture in some of the rooms and restaurants need to refurbished...the noise from the air- conditioners need to be attended to....

Loved the location, within walking distance of all the monuments. The pool was fabulous, we had it all to ourselves, very clean with comfy sun loungers. The staff were really lovely too. Excellent value for money as we were half board and ate at the restaurant adjoining the hotel. If you're looking for something clean, central, value for money that has a lovely pool, look no further!

The breakfast wasn't brilliant.

Breakfast was a bit unimaginative , options didn’t change much day to day . Always the “ cut fruits “ was water melon , always the juice was water melon , coffee was good though . I found the onsite restaurant disappointing for lunch, food mediocre and expensive .

The staff are lovely, very welcoming and helpful. We stayed in one of the larger, more spacious rooms overlooking the Butterball. The buffet breakfast is amazing. In the lovely dining room is served a great choice of indian breakfast. Tgere is also a good choice of continental breakfast should you choose. Dosa and masala omelettes are made upon request. Nothing is too much trouble. The lovely swimming pool is cleaned daily.

Despite the hotel catering towards more international guests, the pool area doesn't have enough sun loungers. Only two of the three loungers were serviceable. Sadly, this hotel is beginning to show the patina of time.

The people and staff were definitely a big plus. The breakfast was sumptuous and the feel of the place was good.

Though the interior of the rooms we stayed in was good , we were surprised that the outer doors were shabby and needed to be painted to have a fresh look. Also the view from the rooms were not good. In fact there was hardly anything worth looking out from the rooms. The swimming pool was completely exposed and was too hot to use in the morning time. The pool could be opened earlier (say by 6 am) The restaurant was too noisy , first from loud music and a couple of kids were crying and making a racket. We couldn't have a peaceful meal.

Breakfast was good and the staff very polite. Food was tasty and the room service was excellent. Location was superb. Only walking distance to all the monuments.

The problem was only with getting hot water from the tap. The staff asked us to open the tap for 10 mnts and then it will come. But we didn’t do that since it wastes lots of water.

Amazing staff, amazing pool, great AC and fans, great beds!! We love our stay at the hotel and the experience we got. We had some meals in the restaurant and enjoyed it, recommend many dishes, among others the pad Thai. The hotel helped us book a guide for a tour around the city, we loved it and recommend our guide Basha!!

The wifi was not very good, and it got a bit complicated with the codes with limited data (although we were given as many as we wished for!!)
