Everything…this resort is the place to go if you want to have a relaxing vacation with the warmest staff taking wonderful care of you. The room was perfect as described, the swimming pool was big and well maintained, the private access to the beach lovely. The breakfast spread was delicious with a lot of options. Since we are vegan and had informed earlier, the staff took utmost care to ensure we had many options. They even procured soy milk specially for us. The complimentary high tea was also very good. Also, the resort is walkable distance from the main attractions in Mahabalipuram. The restaurant in the resort is wonderful, with a lot of tofu options. However, if you need a change, the restaurant A2B is right across offering you some extra options as well. The best part however is the amazing staff. The people are warm, welcoming, and so helpful.

Great pool and room (I was on the 2nd floor very close to the Spa) Afternoon tea was provided for free. Nice touch. Breakfast choice was also very good! Dinner was a little expensive (fish dish) for the size of the meal, but it tasted nice. Location is ok, unless you want to be close to the main streets in the town.

The signal for the TV was not good, so I was not able to receive many of the foreign channels. The staff did their best to fix it, but the next morning the signal was gone again. This was not too much of an issue for me, as I was out for most of the day and evening.

Everything was good and comfortable!

No direct beach access and the photos with beach view should be removed, as they are misleading.

We were extremely lucky it seems - we got a room with a sea view (far but still something), could hear the waves and felt we had more privacy with our terrace looking towards the sea. We were also lucky that the hotel was half empty making it more quiet. Their restaurant had a decent selection of food and we dined there throughout the stay. Prices were fairly reasonable for what they offered!

The room was a bit worn down but otherwise the stay was good!

We stayed here for 3N/4D. This time we planned to celebrate our 6th Wedding anniversary at Mahabalipuram and I was fortunate enough to come across this Grande Bay Beach Resort. Service and Hospitality is at par. Vast Swimming pool, Buggy for pick up and drop to the beach and back to property, Travel desk services each and every bit is excellently managed. My 4 year old daughter just loved the ambience, stay, friendliness of the staff, everything. Great rooms, great location and Service is beyond expectations. May it be a surprise cake that they planned, the care they took to prepare an eggless cake for us, may it be the tiny little surprise gifts that they presented to my little daughter or the mouthwatering delicacies that they served at the restaurant, everything was just beyond perfect. Lucky ones go on great vacations. But the luckiest will get a second home to stay for enjoying their hassle free vacations❤️ Thank you is a small word for the hospitality you have provided us. This is a lifetime memory for us especially for my little daughter who loves travelling. Thank you dear Mr. A.N. Biswal Executive Chef, Moumita madam, Stacy Madam, entire property staff, kitchen staff, restaurant staff, house keeping staff each and everyone of Grande Bay Beach Resort. You guys are extremely amazing. Each one of you truly add a "grandeur" to the Grande Bay. I look forward to coming back and staying again and again at this resort whenever Mahabalipuram calls me.

They can expand the items in their Menu even though their buffet covers a wide variety of dishes.

It is a beautiful resort built around a big swimming pool with rows of frangipani trees. The rooms are nice and well appointed. The AC and hot water work very well. You can regulate the AC so that it doesn’t blow on the bed (if you want it). The balcony is a bonus. Breakfast is very good and the staff is polite and professional. All is very clean. I would like especially thank the reception staff for giving me a quiet (and beautiful) room as asked, I appreciate it a lot. And the sea view was fabulous! The breakfast staff was extremely kind too.

A small thing if I had to be picky. The hairdryer has a button that you have to press all the time while using - not comfortable if you use it for a longer time (long hair) or when your hands are bad (older people, etc). Personally, I would prefer better curtains (a rail longer than the window? A way to attach it to the wall? No spotlight just outside the window would also be an option). The lights just outside the windows are strong and it’s not possible to block the light completely at night to have a dark room.

It's a lovely property with a huge swimming pool. The beach is just a 10 minute walk away, but they do provide a shuttle to and from the beach. They have a property called Horizon at the beach, where you can play volleyball and kids can run around. The room was clean and spacious. Had a very good massage at their spa. The staff is courteous and friendly. The food served was excellent, especially all the fish dishes. It was, all in all, a very pleasant stay.

Everything was good. No complaints at all.

Service staff were very kind and helpful I have a 3yr old and a 5 month old and service staff were so kind to offer to carry the 5 month old around till my wife finished breakfast. Morning they called at room everyday to remind for breakfast. The buggy man taking us to beach, security guards were all kind and excellent.

The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The beach was clean and semi-private. The rooms were spacious and clean. We were upgraded to sea view rooms. The pool was large and clean.

As the beach is a buggy ride away from the resort, we got stuck near the beach with a small baby when it started raining heavily. We had to walk back in heavy rain.The hotel should have an alternative arrangement in place for such situations. The resort is relatively small so not much to do inside the premises.
