Swimming in the sea is not possible, algae on the shore. You have to go to the beach 100m further where the seaweed is removed by the staff every day at low tide from the sea. It's a shame that the hotel manager probably doesn't consider this important. But he should realize that Europeans come to Bali to swim in the sea.

We spent 7 days at The Royal Santrian and loved every moment. The hotel is exceptionally clean and beautifully maintained, creating a peaceful and luxurious atmosphere. The staff were genuinely kind and attentive, making us feel cared for from the moment we arrived. Breakfasts were a real highlight — delicious, varied, and beautifully presented. Each morning felt like a treat. We also tried the massage at the hotel spa, and it was absolutely wonderful — a truly relaxing experience that added to our overall sense of comfort and well-being. If you’re looking for an elegant getaway with thoughtful service and top-tier amenities, The Royal Santrian is a perfect choice.

The Royal Santrian is a peaceful and luxurious retreat, the property and the villas are magnificent. The gardens are meticulously maintained and look beautiful day and night. The villa is enormous with dark wood furniture, marble and stone features. The bathroom is especially beautiful. The private pool is perfect, with a beautiful tile making the water look very inviting. This property would suit those looking for serenity and privacy. There was no annoying loud music being played at the beach. The beach is very nice, no surf on the shore break (Dec-Jan), so really good for swimming laps at high tide. Staff are obliging and friendly and go out of their way to ensure you have everything you need. The restaurant staff were all very lovely and professional. The housekeeping staff took quiet notice of what I might need or like and made sure to update the room (laundry rack, extra water, changed the flowers, put fresh frangipani on my villa doorbell). They were my favourite staff, although the pool and beach staff were also very nice. You can borrow a bike and ride it along the beach path past all the other resorts. Upon returning, you can see that the Royal Santrian has a very high-end feel and presentation about it. The outdoor pool looks stunning when viewed from reception, you can see all the way past it to the beach, through the palm trees.

I would have preferred a buffet style breakfast rather than a'la carte. I understand this could be wasteful with only 20 villas and people often ordering breakfast into their villas, however I do think that the fruits, breads and cereals could be buffet style. Toast - Not the best. Thin and not toasted. More like stale bread. But I will get over this as the mei goreng, sushi and teriyaki pizza on the main menu were delicious! The breakfast croissants were also very good. Egg - the standard serve in any hotel, restaurant or cafe I have been anywhere in the world is two eggs. Serving only one comes across as cheap, which lets down the hotel that is so luxurious in every other possible way.

Huge villa with stylish decorations. Nice restaurant with excellent breakfasts and dinners in a calm atmosphere. The staff really does their best to make your stay comfortable, starting with arranging transfers and additional services (fast track in the airport on arrival and departure) and finishing with with lovely options like floating breakfast served in your swimming pool.

The beach is not suitable for swimmers. It is also very much dominated by water attractions (jet ski etc)

The Royal Santrian, Nusa Dua Our stay at the The Royal Santrian, Bali was truly special . When you first arrive , you are welcomed by the gracious hostess who greets you with Om Swathiastu which means - may you be blessed and protected, may peace be with you . They then make the welcome drink with you and you are shown to your room . There are 20 villas with private pools on the property so at any time there can only be 40 guests , which gives you the sense of luxury and exclusivity straight away . Standing at the reception foyer- you can see and hear the ocean and the waves. There is also an infinity common pool at the enter of the property . The rooms are spacious but have a quaint , homely feel to them . There is an all day restaurant which has a decent vegetarian selection as well . But a moonlight dinner beside the beach was absolutely amazing . The staff are very friendly, courteous and accommodating. The treatments at the spa were superb and you feel so relaxed after you have had them . And we were offered a complimentary 2 hours spa treatment as well , which was the icing on the cake ! Thank you ! They have a chauffeur driven car that can take you to local places close by for a meal , drop you off and pick you up if u arrange that with the front desk. All in all, we enjoyed every bit of our stay . Thank you for making our silver wedding anniversary special . The Royal Santrian- truly makes you feel like royalty !

Absolutely loved our stay at "The Royal Santrian"! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism. The bespoke welcome, attention to detail in the villa was remarkable – plush amenities, breathtaking views, and a level of cleanliness that exceeded our expectations. The manager Restu and the staff (especially Resdi) went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, the professional SPA was amazing and the dining experience was a delight with a wide array of exquisite dishes. Highly recommend this exceptional hotel for an unforgettable romantic experience!

- Awesome service ! - the feeling to be almost alone in the hotel even if it is full - the swimming pool ! - the breakfast and the dinner ! - the team is really amazing ! - the FREE private taxi to move around the area. And he comes to pick you up when done.

- The beach ! you can't even swim, dirty, and not as beautiful as you see on the pictures. At that price, they could clean the beach and make it available for the customers. For me that is the only bad point !

In one word "amazing"! The warm welcome fully in Balinese style, the easy process of checking in, the service and personal approach, alway with a smile, this feels like home... or better. And then the villa... what a stunning place. it is huge and has all facilities one can think of in your wildest dreams. Each villa (20 in total) has its own private pool, outdoor relaxing patio and outdoor shower area. Indoors the massive living/ bedroom with high ceilings and all luxury. The bathroom is almost the same size as the bedroom with again all one can wish for. In total this private villa has a surface of 300m². Housekeeping is excellent and keeps track of every little detail. Every member of the staff is super friendly and helpful. In fact they help you, before you even realize that you needed it. We were amazed by the infrastructure of the whole hotel, which has the size of a resort, yet comprises only 20 villa's. The restaurant is great and the breakfast (à la carte} offers a changing menu every day. The afternoon tea at the beach is a "must do". The hotel is directly at the beach with an own "private beach". Along the coast you can walk to the other resorts. Bikes and Kajaks are free to use. Many thanks to the whole team for pampering us during our honeymoon. Special kudo's to Housekeeping and the staff at the restaurant.

The AC in the villa is noisy. IF there is any room for improvement, it would be this little aspect.

The staff could not have done any more to make our honeymoon incredibly special for us. From the blessing we received when we arrived, the service was faultless - attentive but not intrusive. The outlook from the Royal Suite was sublime and the suite itself gorgeous and spacious. But it was all the little things from hand written messages on leaves at breakfast, to the gifts and flowers in the room that truly touched us and make the Royal Santrian a stand out. This is so much more than a boutique resort - it becomes your Balinese home with soul. To each and every member of staff, we thank you. Your warmth and service is nothing short of impeccable and we will be back again! PS The Balinese cooking class is a must and Chef, we have proudly cooked the dishes a number of times since returning home!
