1. They prepared the room beforehand so that when I checked in, the room is cool. Also they put the card on the electricity slot so that even if I go out, I can have the option to leave the AC on. 2. They are very welcoming and communicative. They contacted me both on this platform and on whatsapp to confirm my booking and to check on my special requests. They also provided complimentary welcoming cake slices in my room upon my arrival. 3. The hotel is walkable distance to a lot of local attractions i.e. Tunjungan Plaza, Romansa Tunjungan, Alun-Alun Surabaya. 4. The room is decently sized and it is clean.

If there is more than 1 person, the space to put luggage and other items might be limited. This is something might be out of the hotel’s control but early Sunday morning, there’ll be loud music coming from nearby park so travellers that want to sleep in on Sunday might be bothered by that.

Location was good, 8 minutes walking distance from hotel to Plaza Tunjungan 1. And there cafes available nearby. Grab is easy and fast to get.

The rotation of Hair Dryer. I cannot believe a big hotel like this doesn’t have enough hair dryer. When I first requested, the HK didn’t mention about returning it and WOKE ME UP at 6.20am just to ask for the hair dryer !!! Second time I requested, I was told to return it within 2 hours. Before 2 hours was up, HK called and asked if I’m done. Come on, it really irritates me!!

The location was excellent as it is a walking distance from Tunjungan Plaza Singapura, which is a very big mall that consists of so many food options to dine in. There is also a nearby park where you can enjoy watching the locals play sports such as basketball.

There is nothing that we could point out that we did not like. Everything that we experienced, from the comfort to cleanliness to the breakfast service, we are very satisfied. A very good hotel to stay in.

Stayed just 1 night - perfect 1 Great clean and modern rooms, very good facilities and excellent price point. The hotel is close to the 2nd largest mall in Asia and there are some wonderful street food and night market places nearby. Etta on reception is a diamond. She gave me a super warm welcome, great room and booked my onward train ticket to Yogyakarta for me when I was struggling! She deserves an extra special mention for outstanding service!

Had a lovely stay at Hotel Kampi. Staff were really friendly and welcoming, always happy to assist with any queries or requests. The room was big and bright with decent air condition. Housekeeping was every day with fresh bottled water! Breakfast had a good selection and the location is perfect for visiting local sites around Surabaya.

Sometimes there was a strong smell of cigarette smoke coming into our non smoking room which was a little annoying, and the corridor can be quite noisy. Other than that no issues at all.

Lovely new hotel at an excellent location. The reception and the door guys are very polite and responsive. Breakfast has a good spread of food and the porridge is my favorite. The huge and expansive Tunjungan Plaza is just few minutes walk and across the road. Cut through Pizza hut and aburger King road. Take the lift up to the overhead bridge. Many cafes and warongs or food stalls scattered around the Apsari Park with excellent local food. Will definitely return as it's value for money.

this is my 1st time checked in late. checked in supposed to be at 2:00pm i reached 2:45pm and the room still not ready. they recommend me a smoking room but i dont want it cause my wife pregnant. secondly how i wish in the future theres a swimming pool. but overall its perfect.

There is a lot to love about this hotel - the staff, rooms, breakfast, location. I would immediately stay again.

But, I would not stay on a Friday night. On Saturday morning 6 to 8 o'clock there is an exercise group outside, they set up huge speakers. From my bed on the 16th floor my phone measured 77 decibels. The windows and curtains are very thin. OK if you wake early. I understood from staff it is every week.

My review may be biased because the hotel went above and beyond to help us, more in a minute about that. The hotel is in a good location, close to a couple of malls (if that is your thing), and a good location to use as a jump off point for tours. They have a nice lobby to wait for your ride in. The hotel seems to handle a lot of tours and as such has a pretty complete menu to choose from. The restaurant is open early to late, has an expresso machine (!!!!) and seems to always be fully staffed. There are lots of plugs around the dinning room if you want to just go down and have a coffee and work. The room was clean, the shower had great water pressure and anything we needed they were very responsive to. Now, on our check out day, there was a big parade that closed down all the streets in the area and our taxi couldn’t make it to the hotel!!! The staff immediately recognized the situation and had two staff use their personal scooters to ferry us (and our luggage!) out of the area and meet the taxi (who they talked to and coordinated our pickup!). They saved us making our flight. Kudos to that staff.

It’s close enough to busy Jalan Tunjungan but Kampi has a more friendly surrounding with greenary and Apsari Park nearby. The hotel food is quite good but if you want more, just outside the hotel there are many local food vendors as well as Western fast-food outlets.

My room on the 6th floor faces the busy Gaberno Suryo Street and it is noisy even till late at night. If you’re a light sleeper, take the garden facing room.
