The traditional wooden room was very authentic, very quiet and gave us the feeling of a romantic oasis and retreat in the middle of the busy city Location is absolutely fantastic, 5 mn walk from the overly busy main road (but away from it), 10 mn walk only from Ubud Palace, some very good and affordable warungs on the street (we especially recommend Warung Taman, a family restaurant who cooks fresh food on demand) Good view on North Ubud and Batukau volcano from the balcony The breakfast is very good and served on the room balcony or the swimming pool on demand You have to cross a beautiful tropical garden to go to your room, it's really a beautiful place Gede, the receptionist is extremely kind and helpful Huge bathroom A/C and wifi were very efficient There are free books shelves at the reception, don't hesitate to check it, we found a recent Lonely planet and interesting novels

The stairs and alleys in the garden are very slippery in rainy days

The home made breakfast was delicious, the garden with the pool was lovely. Our room was large and comfortable. The family who owns the place was really helpful and kind, plus their son is a driver who can take you anywhere. They also recommend activities and programms. The location is perfect. The Monkey Forrest, Ridge Walk, Ubud Market, Pura Dalem and Palace Ubud are within walking distance. There are plenty of restaurants and shops around ( including vegan and glutenfree options).

Good value for money homestay. The garden area is lovely. We initially checked in to a room downstairs by the pool, but got transferred to a room upstairs upon request, as someone had canceled. The room upstairs was much nicer. Amazing view over the pool area and great sunsets. The pool is not huge but clean and comfortable. Location is very central with only a 5-6 minute walk from the Ubud main street. There is no noise to be heard from the room, and the rooms seem to have good sound isolation as well. The included breakfast is good and consists of your typical homestay breakfast - scrambled eggs/pancakes etc. plus tea or coffee and fruit, or fried rice/noodles if ordered the day before. They deliver it to your room. The family living on the premises are super helpful and nice, and offer lots of services including scooter rental, day trips and transport service. In our experience, the transport we booked through them (Ubud -> Pandag Bai) was cheaper than booking through Grab, and it's nice to support the locals. Would come back and stay here again!

The first room on the ground floor had a moldy smell and was quite dark. Recommend texting them to ask if they have 2nd floor rooms available before booking.

This place is perfect we extended for longer, super huge comfortable rooms. Great WiFi, clean cold pool, really tasty breakfast, hot powerful shower every time. And So quiet and peaceful you wouldn’t even know you’re in the centre of ubud! Location is perfect and really nice cafes/restaurants on this street. Also we found the best silver workshop on this street (sriwedari). Really kind staff and has a really nice family feelings like your home. Sunset from my room was amazing also! I’m pretty sure we couldn’t have chosen better for our budget.

Wonderful accommodating staff who were always helpful with anything we asked. Quiet and clean room with comfortable bed. Pool was lovely for a refreshing swim after walking the streets. Great locality with good warungs easy walking away. Looked after us well during Nyepi too. A good breakfast each morning enjoyed on our terrace. A special thankyou to Gede for his great service, happy smiles and little chats each day.

Everything was nothing but great! The room was simple, clean and comfortable, the tranquillity of the place is amazing, perfect to sleep during the night and get up surrounding by the nature soft sounds and beautiful trees and plants. The location is just 5 mins walking distance from Ubud market and the main road and there are lots of shops, cafes and warung in the street where is the homestay. The family is wonderful, always very friendly and helpful, they even prepare us a take away breakfast although our taxi pickup was at 6:30am. We bought a day excursion and the transfer to Gili island with them at a great price in comparison with other local agencies. If I come back to Ubud, I won’t have any doubt to book in here again. Pretty good location about 8 mins walk from the art market. The pool was very clean and well maintained. The hotel was well located, but still quiet and away from street traffic. Great hot water throughout our stay. Breakfast was tasty as well. Overall, a great value.

Hotel was a little further from the main tourist area, but not a bad walk. Our room was not ready for us until the 2 pm check in time, even though we had messaged ahead that we would be early - this was a bit disappointing, but understandable.

Very large room which was cleaned every day. Great location in Ubud - far enough out that it isn’t noisy, but still only a 5 minute walk to the main centre. The hosts were lovely and helped us to book our Mount Batur sunrise trek as well as our taxi onto our next destination, both for reasonable prices. Breakfast was included and was freshly made and nice.

Bathroom could be smelly at times (although this isn’t uncommon in Bali). The Wi-Fi was good 75% of the time but did cut out a few times.

Gorgeous property in an excellent location in Ubud! The family who runs the hotel are absolutely lovely, the breakfasts are tasty, the pool is refreshing, and the 3-5 minute walk to Main Street allows you to be close to the action but far from the noise.

It would be nice if the water temperature of the shower could be warm. With a slight nudge of the handle, it usually became either super hot or cold.

Myself and my 4 friends had the most amazing stay at Arana Gardens. The location was fantastic, the accommodation was set back from the road and was so peaceful amongst the business of bustling ubud. Breakfast was fantastic and the staff were so helpful and accommodating. We couldn’t find fault with our stay. Would definitely recommend.
