We were delighted that although the accommodation is right in the center of Ubud, it is completely quiet as it is on a small side street. But the best is the staff, from Mr. Jiwa and the great Yande driver. Everything was clean, we had new towels and white bed linen. Our pool room surrounded by the scent of the garden and incense sticks was amazing. Those who need a shiny new sink for vacation will write worse reviews. But we don't, we'd love to go back anytime.

Satisfied with everything. The ambient, the people, location and also the food. It would be better if more lighting in the washroom. Quite dark at night. If you stay here, must pay a visit to the Jiwa’s Warung which is next to the homestay. The food was just so good. They also offer lunch and dinner with charges during Nyepi Day so no need to worry about food supply. A cute doggy came to visit us on the day :D The location is just 8mins walking distance away from Ubud Palace. We were so blessed to come across this homestay. Will definitely to come back someday. The best location—walking distance to everywhere in Ubud Center! This is a family-run homestay, and the whole family and staff were super friendly and polite. Our room was cleaned daily, and the breakfast was really good—served right on our balcony at the time we chose every morning. We were so happy we picked this place for our 6-night stay in Ubud. Breakfast usually starts at 7:30, but on the day we checked out early to go to Padang Bai at 6:30, they kindly prepared our breakfast especially for us at 6:00 and had it ready on our table. We really appreciated this kind and thoughtful gesture!

The only thing we didn’t really like—but it wasn’t a big problem—was seeing a few ants and small lizards on the balcony and sometimes in the room. With the beautiful garden and tropical setting in Ubud, it’s understandable, but for someone who’s afraid of insects or small creatures, it might be a bit uncomfortable.

I felt like I was in my own little oasis in the middle of the jungle. Yet the main area of Ubud is just a couple blocks away. They had a driver (a family member) waiting for me at the airport and he would check in regularly during my stay to see if I needed anything. Friendly people. If you need a massage turn left when you leave the homestay and walk up the hill not too far. Pondok Gusti’s Salon and Spa. It was my best massage in Ubud. I got my laundry washed and ironed just left of the hotel. A little place with motorbikes in front. I didn’t have the right charger for my phone to plug into the outlet. I saw the sell them in the little convenience store across the street.

jiwa’s house is a beautiful little home stay on a lane close to the centre of ubud. it’s a perfect little paradise away the hustle and bustle of the city. the breakfast served to your patio is delicious. the staff and family who run this little oasis are the loveliest of people. the room is large, the bed, huge and feels like its own little sanctuary. the grounds are very pretty with many plants and flowers. i stayed in a poolside room and loved it. there are a number of categories of rooms here many that are away from the lane and in their own little garden space. watching family members make their morning offerings around the property felt like a real honour. the pool was a refreshing welcome after a day of walking around the city. i really can’t say enough about how much i enjoyed my stay!

not at all a big deal to me, but housekeeping is spotty. you are always asked if you want your rooms cleaned and it’s done by a couple of hard working and really sweet young men from the family. let’s just say i think “boys” probably have a different approach to cleaning. 😅😁🙏 but if you ask for something to be done, they are quick to oblige. truly a most delightful family and i felt privileged to be there. 🙏 thank you jiwa and family! ❤️

Good location close to all facilities. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ok but be aware that you need to take only two principal plates from menu and fruits are extra always, the ginger tea it was very good. If you need to visit the neighborhood of Ubud like temples, cascades, rice plantations or others, ask Jiwa for a car as him nephew Maday have a good and nice car with 7 places. Internet was good there but you can take a sim card Telekom from airport which is not expensive and like this you have internet everywhere even if you travel out of Bali for example. You need to use Autan always during the evening when you are outside. I recommend this location in Ubud.

They never answer to the phone number or email provided by Booking before our arrival and even if we insist. Mosquito in the bathroom of room 08 as the net from small window there is broken and need to be replaced, also in front of the room on the terrace even if they add some anti mosquitos products.

Jiwa House: A Gem in Ubud! We, a group of 6, recently enjoyed a fantastic 4-night stay at Jiwa House. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the perfect location, spacious and clean rooms, and the friendly hospitality of Jiwa and his staff. The Positives: Prime Location: Jiwa House is ideally situated within easy walking distance of all the key attractions and amenities. Having a mini mart just a minute away was a huge bonus for grabbing any essentials. Comfortable Accommodation: The rooms were incredibly spacious and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We especially appreciated the cleanliness and attention to detail. Delicious Breakfast: The breakfast was a highlight! Delivered right to our door at our chosen time, it was a delightful and convenient way to start each day. Exceptional Hospitality: Jiwa and his staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable stay. They were incredibly helpful in organizing activities and even provided transportation, making our explorations hassle-free. Areas for Improvement: Overall Impression: Despite the minor issue with linen changes, we had an absolutely wonderful experience at Jiwa House. The combination of a perfect location, comfortable accommodation, delicious breakfast, and outstanding hospitality made it an unforgettable stay. We would wholeheartedly recommend Jiwa House to anyone visiting Ubud and would definitely choose to stay there again in the future.

The only minor drawback was that the towels and sheets were not changed during our 4-night stay. While this wasn't a major issue, it would have been a nice touch for added freshness.

Really good place! Hardly recommended! The staff its super nice, we did a ubud tour with Yandel and It was really good! He also drive us to our Next destination and on the way stopping in really nice views, super nice people working there. Breakfast was very good, special mention to the banana pancakes...delicious. they make the room everyday and when you arrive after a long day its fresh and they give water also everyday. Ubud its a very busy and intense area and when you enter jiwas house its a peacefull place and quiet...with nice swimming pool...gardens..a little puppy.. stay here!

The family who owns the property is so kind and you feel very welcomed. The property has been in their family for generations so I was so happy to learn I was supporting a local business. The property is also gorgeous, a very nice retreat from the busy streets of Ubud. Rooms are extremely clean and very big. Nice AC, mosquito nets, and fast WiFi. Walking distance to several attractions (Ubud Palace, monkey forest, tons of restaurants). I highly recommend Jiwa’s house!

I loved everything about this beautiful homestay. Large room, comfortable bed and pillows, exellent aircon, daily water, heaps of power points in the room, really hot water in the shower assistance with what to go and see, really nice pool (8m x 2.5m), yummy breakfast brought to your balcony. I was lucky enough to be in room 03, beautiful gardens throughout the property. And the family are warm and welcoming. Jiwa and Ketut, you have a wonderful family. And little Junior (the pug puppy).
