Really good value for money 2 bedroom villa with pool and outdoor kitchen. Absolutely beautifully maintained tropical garden oasis. Great for couples. Would be a perfect honeymoon venue.

It was a lovely great value for money 2 bedroom villa. The steps are a bit steep though. There is a drop off from the varandah to the garden so just be aware this may be a safety issue for young children or people with physical disabilities. Also, this may be obvious, but as it's a pool villa, children need to be supervised at all times.

Beautiful villa and pool. We also loved the location. Very quiet but still a few decent restaurants a few minutes’ of walk away, and numerous options on the main road.

Second bedroom was only accessible via external stairs which wasn’t ideal with young kids.

The villa was amazing in the best place where you can stay in Ubud. Is close to the center so everything can be get to on foot. The room was very clean and the staff offered daily cleaning If needed. The breakfast was very good and tasty and offered a variety of options. The staff was amazing, easy to talk to and offered a great experience. The staff offer also buggy service from the main street to the villa which was in handy.

Since the villa was a little far from markets, it was a little harder to carry water to it. A water dispenser would make things a lot easier.

We loved the fact that the villas were owned by a local Balinese family and each one has been built on their rice field to give you total privacy. We are a family of four so the two villa apartment with private pool was a great option. The villa was simple and well set up. It was spacious but authentic. It was fantastic having the option of breakfast (my daughter had a floating breakfast for her birthday which she will never forget). We could also order from the local restaurants and have them delivered to the door if we wanted a night in by the pool or get the buggy/walk a few minutes to a good selection of restaurants locally. Balon was our private driver for our whole stay and couldn’t do enough for us. We worked with him to agree a tailored tour that would work for the whole family. All the staff were very friendly and my daughter’s favourite bit was the buggy from the main road to the villa but this is also easily walkable in 5-10 minutes depending on your pace. Fantastic value for money and we felt we had a more authentic experience and learnt lots about Bali and the culture from Balon. We cannot recommend this highly enough.

I recently stayed at Pondok Naya and absolutely loved my time there. This place is truly a hidden gem, peaceful, surrounded by nature, and perfect for relaxing. The cabin was very comfortable and quiet, making it easy to unwind and enjoy the calm atmosphere. What made our stay extra special was the incredibly friendly and caring staff. They were always checking in to make sure we were happy and comfortable. We also had the pleasure of meeting Balon, a local driver they recommended. He was fantastic, very kind, gave us great tips, and took us to amazing places nearby. The breakfast was delicious and the pool area was beautiful and clean. We had such a good time that we will come back again. Around the property, you’ll also find lovely cafés and restaurants, nice massage to enjoy a quiet afternoon. I highly recommend Pondok Naya to anyone looking for a beautiful, relaxing stay with a genuine local touch. I’ll definitely return again!

loved our time here, the villa was a tropical haven and even included a hidden away little temple. loved loved loved the outdoor bathroom. The staff was super friendly and helpful and the buggy was fun. it’s not really walkable to the center of Ubud due to the lack of sidewalks but we rented scooters and that was also squarely but at least a lot quicker! as others have said plenty of restaurants close by (try the nachos at the Mexican, yum!)

only minus was that the upstairs and downstairs bedroom are only connected by outdoor stairs. one of my kids found it a bit scary to be away from us like that.

The breakfast was very good, with a nice variety and fresh options. The room was extremely clean and well maintained. One of the highlights was the shared pool, beautifully set in a tropical, well-kept botanical garden. It truly gave you the feeling of being immersed in the jungle and surrounded by nature. The water was very pleasant, and since the pool was only shared with two other bungalows — which were also very beautiful inside — it felt peaceful and almost private. The bed was large and comfortable, and having both a private bathroom and a kitchen was very convenient.

Honestly, almost everything about the stay was positive. If I had to mention something, it would be the fact that to reach the accommodation, you needed to be picked up by a buggy. You had to contact the driver via WhatsApp or send him a message. That said, he always came quickly and was very reliable — and in the end, the buggy rides actually turned out to be part of the fun experience!

Large rooms, comfortable beds, clean. Lots of hot water, responsive to requests, the buggy service was great and timely. Staff were lovely. Could order food in at reasonable prices.

Pool was slightly damaged and not very easy to get into (just a design issue), lights didn’t all work, no milk for coffee. All minor issues. There was construction next door so you went past piles of debris…not their fault and only a temporary issue. A little off the beaten path and the taxi mafia make transport a little expensive…also not their fault.

We stayed in two bedroom private pool villa - Pondok Naya-2 for our two nights stay in Ubud. Villa was clean, pool is great although it was bit too deep for children, anyone staying with small child should keep an eye on their kids around the pool at all time as there are no pool fences here or any other villa we stayed in Bali. One bedroom upstairs and another downstairs was bit bothersome for our family but may suit other just fine. Upstair there is also sunroom overlooking rice field and has a good pool view. Bedrooms are decent sized, aircon worked pefectly while we stayed and beds were comfortable to sleep. There is a small kitchen downstairs, its quite basic and no microwave. Villa is obviously bit old, when there is wind blowing windows made some rattling sounds as if someone is knocking at them. I am quite sensitive to sounds so this may not be an issue for others. Downstair showers and bathroom has no roof - kind of outdoor shower area but privacy is adequate so no issue with that, just keep in mind for some guests, however, they can use bathroom upstairs. Staffs were very friendly and accommodating. No car access directly to villa as other guest pointed out but buggy service from the villa to main carpark or shops avaialable for guest 7am to 10pm so its not an issue. Anyone who likes to walk, its 10-12min strolling from the villa to main carpark. Overall villa was good, our stay here was ok, there are few insects and ants which scared the kids a bit but those are not big issues as in tropical weather those are expected.

One recommendation I would give the owner is to improve ammenities especially no power converters for international travellers. We struggled a bit with our Australian power plugs, also a microwave would be good. Villa doesnt provide laundry facilities but there is a laundry less than 2 min walking. Also one bedroom upstairs and one downstairs wasnt suitable for us.

Villa is better than the photos. It has the old Bali charm but it's not worn out. Very quite, no bars or clubs around, no traffic noise, no noise from neighbors. Spacious and bright rooms. Nice outdoor bathroom on the first floor. Clean pool that's sunny until aroun 3pm and then gets in the shade of the house. Street doesn't allow cars but the staff can take you to and from your taxi on a golf cart. There are nice small cafes and restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner within a 2 minute walk.
