Stunning villas. Absolutely spotless. Incredible food. Amazing friendly staff. Beautiful views. A super lovely dog on site. Great recommendations - the list goes on. We would 100% come back to this place.

There was nothing we didn't like but make sure you read the property description carefully. There is an outdoor bathroom, which is private and I liked it but it can take a little bit of getting used to (showering with a gheko and frog staring at you for instance, :). If you don't like nature and animals, it's not the spot for you. But if you're down with those things, you aren't going to want to leave. We loved this place and the area.

Our villa was amazing. Being woken up by monkeys on their way from the jungle to the more crowded areas in search of food was quite an experience. The owner is very nice and had some useful tips for us. Unfortunately we spent the days going to different places and didn't have enough time to talk to her more. The manager, Rez, was also very nice and attentive. He gave us food info about places to go to. All the staff was very polite and helpful and we had a great time. The breakfast and the coffee were very tasty. The resort was far enough from the crowded areas so it was never too loud for us, despite there being some parties at nearby restaurants or hotels due to Galungan celebration, we barely noticed it.

We had a brilliant time at White Tortoise. Christina and the rest of the staff were attentive and friendly and great communicators at every point during our stay. The villa was absolutely beautiful and the breakfasts were also delicious. We had a scooter during our stay which made getting about easy - lots of fantastic restaurants, cafes, shops, beaches all a quick ride away. The location is probably too far out to be walkable but taxis are easy to book and/or a scooter makes it easy to get anywhere - and that little bit of distance from the main areas means its mostly very quiet and chill. A couple of nights music could be heard and there's a bit of ambient noise from roosters and dogs but it doesn't impact the quality of the experience. We had monkeys turn up a couple of times on the balcony but they were easy to shoo away and it just made the experience all the more memorable. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to others.

Everything. This was a last minute booking for us and we were so pleased with it. The rooms are so well maintained and super clean. You can tell they are cleaned well from the stainless steel taps and toilet roll holder- shining!! Beautiful greens all around your room and porch which is lovely for breakfast outside. The outside bathroom was fabulous too. Lovely toiletries and good quality. The towels and bed linen is good quality too. The private pool was great when the weather was good. We really enjoyed our time here. The final topping that we LOVED was the resident cat whitey! He is soooo cute and spent a lot of time with us on our stay. Morning day and night he would come to visit. Loved cuddles and play time. Can’t forget the resident dog Mia either, she is adorable. Thoroughly enjoyed this stay in our romantic villa. Would recommend. The owner and staff were lovely too. Thanks so much.

Lots of comments complaining about the noise but we didn’t think it was terrible and it stopped at midnight. It’s what you expect close to the main centre of uluwatu and it’s far back so it could be worse. We had no issues with noise or the surrounding area. People should expect a little noise around this area anyways. It was a peaceful stay. Just need a scooter or order grab cars as it’s a far walk. Loved it all.

Lovely villas with outstanding service! Particularly the staff were amazing. Very kind, attentative and up for a chat with great recommendations. The resident cat Whitey may come and great you and hang out on your porch or nap on your couch. Very calm and sweet cat. Breakfast can be ordered to the villa and is delicious. Good coffee too! We had to leave at 6:30am on the day of our departure and the staff kindly prepared take away breakfast for us. Unfortunately, it rained all the way through our 2 day stay so we didn’t get to enjoy the sunbeds and private pool. Tragic…. But in all seriousness, even without the pool use the villa was our favourite accommodation in Bali so far and we’ve been here several times. The hammock chair on the porch is a great alternative. And the bed was very comfy. The location is a little bit trickier to get to and requires a scooter or a grab. Not exactly walkable to the main road. But we enjoy being a little away from the hustle and bustle and a quick 5-8mim drive gets you to the high street. Highly recommend.

The bungalow in traditional Balinese style was beautiful and very functional. The dips in our private pool a few times a day were refreshing and was a great spot to talk for hours with my best friend. The staff is incredible!!!! Super kind, helpful, accommodating with every need! I will definitely come back. Also, super yummy breakfast, great selection and THE best matcha in town!!!!

The road towards the property has some holes and riding a scooter was making me feel a bit nervous but obviously it’s not the fault of the hotel but the government.

The staff were so lovely and welcoming and really took care of me as I was travelling alone. The property is really well located, nestled in the hills and just a short scooter's ride away from cafes, beaches and other spots (you need to get a scooter everywhere so this isn't a criticism!). I was looking for somewhere peaceful but also where I could easily and quickly get to the beach and nearby attractions so the location was perfect. The breakfast was so good, honestly the same quality if not better than the food I had in restaurants outside. Would definitely recommend and would come back with my partner!

Great property! We stayed for a week and it was very comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly, going out of their way to help at every opportunity, and they had great advice about what to see and do in the area. The breakfast was delicious too. There are only a few rooms at the property so it was always calm and peaceful. The main busier areas with restaurants, bars and market stalls are a short taxi away (and taxis are very cheap to book), so you can be close to the action but still get a good night’s sleep without being disturbed.

It is not 5 star - it is a luxury eco villa with a nice design. It was just a bit far from town which didnt really matter as 'grabs' were easy. But would have been great if because of the location it could have been quieter - as there was a fair amount of traffic noise. Having to lock the doors because of monkeys entering was 'unique' and amazing. GREAT for a unique and short stay... Padang Padang Beach was fabulous.
