Stunning villas. Absolutely spotless. Incredible food. Amazing friendly staff. Beautiful views. A super lovely dog on site. Great recommendations - the list goes on. We would 100% come back to this place.

There was nothing we didn't like but make sure you read the property description carefully. There is an outdoor bathroom, which is private and I liked it but it can take a little bit of getting used to (showering with a gheko and frog staring at you for instance, :). If you don't like nature and animals, it's not the spot for you. But if you're down with those things, you aren't going to want to leave. We loved this place and the area.

The outside seating options including an option in the shade and another in the sun by the pool was great. I loved how the pool was exposed to the outdoors and not blocked by too many plants or walls, so the pool wasn’t cold it was always a nice temperature. It was located in a perfect position where you had peace and quiet but could also get to the centre of town in under 10 minutes. The bed was super comfortable and house keeping did a great job everyday. The breakfast was superb! The staff were so welcoming, attention and lovely. They showed genuine interest into what you were getting up to each day.

It didn’t have enough places to hang your bathroom towels. It would have been nice to have a tray that you could eat on, as there wasn’t a proper dining area in the Romantic House. There was a large crack between the wall and bathroom door, resulting in mosquitoes coming into the villa sometimes at night. Despite the pool filter and it being cleaned every morning, the pool still had a quite a bit of debris in it each day.

The best breakfast we have ever had in hotels, compared to a one you get in a cafe, coffee, juices, oh I wouldn’t mind to have their orange juice now :-) Perfect plunge pool. Very close with scooter to Padang Padang beach. Perfect staff and contact via WhatsApp.

One thing I guess is inconvenience to pay attention to your stuff in bathroom, because of the moneys that live all around Uluwatu, and to remember that they can come when you have breakfast. Didn’t happen when we stayed but I was bit stressed about it. Another one - villas’ bathrooms are outside and we heard our neighbours and they heard us when we were in the bathroom.

I had an amazing stay! The place is extremely comfortable, in a great location, and the staff go above and beyond at every moment. Everyone calls you by your name, which makes you feel more like you’re staying with family than in a hotel. That personal touch really makes a difference. The space was spotless, and they were consistently helpful — even having someone to clean the pool daily. Everything felt well taken care of and thoughtfully managed. Honestly, there’s nothing I could suggest to improve. It was fantastic, and I’m already looking forward to going back.

A great experience that exceeded expectations. The villas are tastefully decorated, very clean and have a wonderful garden and views. The villas are located a little away from the center, there was peace and quiet all around. A few dogs barked in the evening and roosters started crowing in the early morning, but it was more of a romantic feeling. It takes about 5 minutes to get to the main street and Padang beach by scooter. If you don't want to ride a scooter, you can conveniently order a car with Grab. The staff constantly shared the necessary information and were very helpful. The breakfast was great. The food is high quality and extremely tasty. They don't serve dinner, but if you want to eat at the villa, they will help you order food - wherever you want. I definitely recommend it to those who don't expect excessive sophistication, but appreciate quality in everything.

This is a place of your dreams. The villas are amazing, it’s feels so luxurious. It feels like being in a white lotus hotel ☺️ (without the bad ending 😉) The interior is beautiful, and having your own plunge pool, makes this place perfect. The breakfast that is complementary is amazing. The different options are great and the portions are perfect. The fresh juices are so tasty. I know I will dream about the breakfast. The staff is super friendly and very welcoming. They try to help you with everything that you need. You can rent a scooter with the hotel, which is great. Location is super good. Close to the Main Street and the most popular beaches, but just far enough to have this feeling of calmness and feeling like being surrounded by nature. We cannot wait to come back !!

Our villa was amazing. Being woken up by monkeys on their way from the jungle to the more crowded areas in search of food was quite an experience. The owner is very nice and had some useful tips for us. Unfortunately we spent the days going to different places and didn't have enough time to talk to her more. The manager, Rez, was also very nice and attentive. He gave us food info about places to go to. All the staff was very polite and helpful and we had a great time. The breakfast and the coffee were very tasty. The resort was far enough from the crowded areas so it was never too loud for us, despite there being some parties at nearby restaurants or hotels due to Galungan celebration, we barely noticed it.

Wonderful stay in a peaceful, green setting I stayed in a lovely small studio with a private pool, surrounded by greenery — trees and nature all around, which made the atmosphere very relaxing. The bed was super comfortable, and I especially loved the outdoor bathroom, which was well hidden and private. Breakfast was great, with a special mention for the floating breakfast — such a unique and enjoyable experience! The value for money was also very fair. The staff were truly attentive throughout my stay. A big thank you to Christina and Kova, who went above and beyond to make my visit so pleasant. Highly recommend!

Everything. This was a last minute booking for us and we were so pleased with it. The rooms are so well maintained and super clean. You can tell they are cleaned well from the stainless steel taps and toilet roll holder- shining!! Beautiful greens all around your room and porch which is lovely for breakfast outside. The outside bathroom was fabulous too. Lovely toiletries and good quality. The towels and bed linen is good quality too. The private pool was great when the weather was good. We really enjoyed our time here. The final topping that we LOVED was the resident cat whitey! He is soooo cute and spent a lot of time with us on our stay. Morning day and night he would come to visit. Loved cuddles and play time. Can’t forget the resident dog Mia either, she is adorable. Thoroughly enjoyed this stay in our romantic villa. Would recommend. The owner and staff were lovely too. Thanks so much.

Lots of comments complaining about the noise but we didn’t think it was terrible and it stopped at midnight. It’s what you expect close to the main centre of uluwatu and it’s far back so it could be worse. We had no issues with noise or the surrounding area. People should expect a little noise around this area anyways. It was a peaceful stay. Just need a scooter or order grab cars as it’s a far walk. Loved it all.

We had a brilliant time at White Tortoise. Christina and the rest of the staff were attentive and friendly and great communicators at every point during our stay. The villa was absolutely beautiful and the breakfasts were also delicious. We had a scooter during our stay which made getting about easy - lots of fantastic restaurants, cafes, shops, beaches all a quick ride away. The location is probably too far out to be walkable but taxis are easy to book and/or a scooter makes it easy to get anywhere - and that little bit of distance from the main areas means its mostly very quiet and chill. A couple of nights music could be heard and there's a bit of ambient noise from roosters and dogs but it doesn't impact the quality of the experience. We had monkeys turn up a couple of times on the balcony but they were easy to shoo away and it just made the experience all the more memorable. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to others.
