I had a fantastic stay at the County Arms Hotel in Birr this April. The room was absolutely fabulous — spacious, spotless, and beautifully maintained. The beds were large and incredibly comfortable, making for a great night’s sleep. I really appreciated the attention to detail, from the lovely in-room coffee to the excellent breakfast that was delivered straight to the room — a real treat to start the day. Everything about the stay felt comfortable and relaxing. I’d definitely recommend the County Arms Hotel to anyone visiting the area, and I’d happily stay again.

The room is ok, clean, comfortable. Only issue was the washbasin was not draining very well… no big deal. The food from the bar was excellent, and not expensive. Room service was surprisingly fast. Special mention to the breakfast team. They were so friendly and kind. It was my pleasure to start like that every morning. Close enough to Birr downtown. And Birr has a lot of things to visit.

Breakfast starts a bit late (7:30). Too tight if you travel for work. Luckily the staff in the breakfast did their best to help me make it .

The hotel was fab! We really enjoyed our stay. We were up for a wedding and it really exceeded my expectations. The staff were wonderful and the food was delicious! The gardens were so beautiful. I loved the water filter stations (maybe some ice could be added).

Not necessarily something I didnt like but with the hot weather we would have loved some air con in the room. (A staff member did offer us a fan). I really appreciated the fridge in the room.

Room was bright, comfortable and clean. Hotel is situated within walking g distance of the lovely heritage town of Birr. Lovely extensive gardens. Beautifully decorated entrance, event wing and new bedroom wing. Very friendly staff

Room was at back of hotel, not a problem, except with window open during night for fresh air. Barking dogs and work activity in yard below in early morning disrupted our sleep Breakfast room could do with a make-over to bring it out of the 70s style dark wood and furnishings.

Our son and his wife had their wedding reception in this hotel on 7th August and a second day on the 8th. It was the most magical day, the hotel, the staff and the atmosphere was just exceptional. There was nothing I could fault, everyone went above and beyond to ensure everything went to plan.

From the minute we arrived to leaving everything was perfect. The hotel is amazing in every way and so many hotels could learn from the county arms.The grounds and garden are just idyllic We used the leisure and spa facilities and both are fabulous. The staff really make this place and huge credit to them.Nothing seems too much trouble. The food amazing the room perfect and just the lovely ambience speaks volumes.

Hotel was beautiful. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. We arrived early and asked was the room ready. We were told that it could be at a charge of €25. On payment of the money we were handed the keys and were told the room was ready. One suggestion I would make is to put some water in the room. There was a jug and two glasses a fridge but no water.

The room was lovely and big and so clean really comfortable The staff were very nice and friendly and very nice to kids I really liked how child friendly it was and will definitely be back to stay again

The only fault I had was the room got very hot really need air con in the room other then that it was perfect

We stayed here for a family wedding, stayed 3 nights in total. Hotel was lovely, food in Bar62 was great. The swimming pool was great, also able to use steam room and sauna. Gym had a good amount of equipment. Hotel had beautiful grounds and garden.

The hotel is currently under construction, so depending on what floor your room is you may be woken by builders. Due to the renovations, some rooms (Ground floor and floor 1) have been done up and are gorgeous. However floor 2 hasn’t, rooms are standard but have no aircon and are very very warm. Windows only open a cm.
