Great stay at the hotel. Daniel and Kasie were really helpful as well as all staff working there. Great breakfast too which was really reasonable. All in all, had a great trip to Athlone and would like a return visit in the future.

This is my fourth time staying at the Shamrock Lodge for work. It is very good value for money, but the bathroom, again, was dirty. Sink, mirror and floor not cleaned. Ladies hair all over the floor etc. Last year there were long hairs in the shower and a handful of peanuts on the floor under the sink. Beds are comfortable and sheets are clean. This year I could not connect to Netflix or prime. I tried trouble shooting, but the tv itself was offline and would not connect to the Internet. It is an old tv so couldn't cast my screen. It was fine made do with tv stations. Tea/coffee material in the rooms. Heating available. Overall despite the bathrooms always being dirty, Shamrock Lodge is great value for money and the staff are always lovely.

Bathroom needed a hoover. I'm not too particular but clumps of dirt, dust and different coloured long hairs all over the floor. Mirror dirty, toilet roll not fresh, shower needed a whipe. This has been the same sub par cleanliness experience as my June stay last year and my June stay in 2022. Again, it's fine for money and the beds are huge, clean and comfy.

Beds were comfortable, room was clean, breakfast and dinner was good and staff were very friendly. Overall its a lovely hotel to stay in except for the bedroom being extremely warm

There was no air conditioning or fan in the bedroom. The bedrooms windows were closed when we arrived so the bedroom was extremely hot. So uncomfortably hot that we all got it hard to sleep even with the window open. There was also a group of people somewhere outside the hotel who were very loud until 12.30am or so. My small kids didn't sleep until after that

Friendly staff, nice food reasonably priced, beds very comfortable. As there were three in our group, we were allocated a suite, which had a microwave and fridge. This was a nice bonus. Overall excellent value for money. This hotel is only 10 minutes walk from Athlone shopping area. Lots of shops to explore 😀

There were two bathrooms which both had a shower - but only one shower could be used at a time. Plumbing was quite noisy each time a tap was turned on but that is just minor because we were very happy overall.

We loved the Shamrock ☘️. Would very happily stay again and recommend to others. Very close to town and ammenities. Bed was comfortable. Next time I would ask for a room not near generator which came on intermittently. Had to close window because of the noise so no fresh air. Lifts not stairs 👍on-site complimentary parking.

Minor thing was no fridge in room but hubby went down to reception to ask for some fresh milk (can’t do UHT) and our milk we brought had spoiled, and staff happily obliged with a small jug. Little things like this make all the difference. Staff to be commended, restaurant and bar was excellent.

There was a wedding party on when we arrived and the front desk wasn't manned, meaning we waited a little longer that anticipated. In a rush, the receptionist wrote the right room numbers down on the paper, but in the wrong order. This meant we spent 10 minutes going back and forth in the rain looking for our room. The lighting in the 'living room was a little dim There could have been more seeting in the area..

Breakfast was excellent, and the food in the bar (full restaurant is only open on weekends) was so good that we ended up eating there both nights rather than looking for somewhere to go off-site. They were great with the two well behaved kids we had with us and were very kind about the two birthdays we were celebrating. The rooms were comfortable and generously sized and they met our every request. I would definitely stay here again.

The extra bed was not quite as comfortable as the regular bed, but we technically didn't need to use it so it was no detriment to our stay. But if an adult needed to request the extra bed and use it, they may find it not the most comfortable.

We loved our room at the Shamrock Lodge. We stayed in the honeymoon suite which was super large and comfortable. The lady in the reception was lovely as she told us about Sean's Pub (the oldest in Ireland) located about 500m from the lodge. We had the best night ever in Ireland that night. Otherwise the Lodge is fairly large, has good restaurant and free parking - a real bonus.

Not a big deal but the lodge is not right in town so it is a bit of a walk to the old parts.

The hotel was a 5 minute walk from the town center, we got a lovely welcome and all the staff were really helpful, friendly and gave excellent service, Maria who was front of house was so knowledgeable and professional, our accommodation was a apartment on the grounds which was so spacious and had everything we needed, the food in the restaurant was so tasty and value for money, we had live music in the bar, we will be back again

The warm welcome from the minute we arrived from Paddy at the desk set the tone for the lovely experience we were to have at the Shamrock Lodge. The room was so spacious, we felt we had booked a big suite by accident! The food at breakfast was lovely and restocked with fresh food very frequently. We had a few odd requests (mainly around check-in) that the staff remedied with care and consideration. Even the taxi driver spoke so highly about this place, it seems to not only be a lovely hotel but holds a great place in the community. I would highly recommend it and hope to be back soon.
