+beautiful grounds to walk around +dinner was really generous portion +reception team were brilliant +was nice to also walk around the house and explore the rooms +huge bathroom and bedroom, stunning view from the bedroom of the horses and the sea

-bedroom was boiling in the morning even with the windows open -breakfast was smaller portion than dinner was -person in the bar was a little aloof and oblivious, many errors with drinks and the service felt sloppy -music being played was ill-matched with the mood, felt more abrasive than relaxing

Check in was easy and friendly. The bar is small and cosy and the dining room is shaped and laid out in a way that you have plenty room to yourselves while chatting over a meal. The gardens are beautiful and we enjoyed a few walks around. The pergola type structure near the house is stunning.

Just a few small things like young staff could perhaps do with a little more training in the overall serving of meals. Get someone to go around and check lampshades and cobwebs. Nothing that would stop us returning but things that would make the house more like it should be.

Rooms are very good, beds are comfortable. The hotel was quite as not many rooms were occupied and I liked it. The atmosphere is very good - comfortable sofas, fireplaces with fire on, nice and light music and very friendly staff. Dinner was good. I really enjoyed sea & fields view from my window.

Breakfast could be more reach. Suggestion: to have bathrobes in the room.

Thought food was under par for 50 euro each for evening meal and breakfast was just ok. Also only bubbly available was a cheap tasting prosecco or cheapest champagne was 90 euros Would have liked to be able to make a cup of tea in our room but no facilities

The garden and grounds are lovely. The staff were very responsive when we remarked about the overwhelming smell of gloss paint in the room, and offered us an alternative.

The restaurant offering was too limited for us. There was a fixed 3-course menu for 45 euros. This might have been a reasonable price for the 3-courses but if you are only wanting a main course appears a little steep.

We liked the historic building and the interior. The staff was very friendly and our four poster bedroom was super spacious. Great view from the top window/rooms.

I don‘t know if the fire alarm sets off regularly, as we were told it is quite sensitive. It rang 2x in the morning, first time at 7 AM. We would just like to mention this, but we would stay here for sure again.

An enchanting house in a beautiful location and only a short drive from the hustle and bustle of Dublin! We had room 4 aka Great Western which makes sense having read the history of the house Cpt Halpin! It has hidden walks and perfectly mowed lawns & hedges together with an eclectic mix of furniture and accessories inside.

The service not great . And the couch was too low in bed room and wife call me and said could not get up and i pull her up & injured myself , I made appointment to see a doctor today .

The bar was lovely and the food was fantastic.

The noise in our room was very loud as the heating pipes were right next door. We could hear them running all night. Bad nights sleep.

I didn't think the breakfast was big enough, We would have eaten more. The service wasn't great at breakfast we had to ask for toast and then got very little, probably sufficient for two, there was 4 of us at the table. We got no brown bread. Staff a little off hand
