It is an amazing tranquil setting. Really relaxing and staff are brilliant

My partner is 35 weeks pregnant, this was are last litte break before the arrival. I noticed when we got to the room that we only had a bath shower with a high step over which was very risky for my partner. I called reception immediately to ask for a room with a shower tray but was told that the hotel was fully booked and they couldn't accommodate a move. I'm not sure but the carpark had 11 cars in it at 9.30pm. So I don't think it was a fully booked hotel.

Breakfast was very good!

I just thought that for a hotel of that level that the coffee on the room was counted out too exactly as if I were staying in a cheap bed and breakfast. There was also no decaffeinated coffee which everywhere else offers by now. There was only enough shampoo and shower gel for one person.

From the moment we checked in at around 6 PM on Friday until we checked out at 1 PM on Sunday, we were welcomed with warmth and kindness by every single staff member at this wonderful hotel. The location is truly special—so eco-friendly, surrounded by rivers, ancient bridges, and nestled within the mountains. The atmosphere is upscale, yet refreshingly unpretentious. While the clientele is quite high-class, there’s absolutely no judgment about dress code. Whether you're in Converse and a hoodie or dressed to the nines, you feel completely at ease. I loved the freedom of just being myself without any pressure to dress up.

Bed. I would like to hope you will go for more up-class linen and pillows. For the first time I've experienced not a luxury sleep. You can do better!

Setting, outdoor jacuzzi, the variety of places to eat and drink was great. Residency bar had lovely food and the pizzaria was great. The pub was really nice also. Very helpful staff everywhere and very nice rooms overlooking river.

Was a little disappointed by the meal in the strawberry restaurant. Beautiful room and wine and service but the mains were a little more quantity over quality. The mix was strange for me in terms of flavour. Perhaps personal preference though. The spa had no sliders to offer which was a shame considering how slippy it was but when the renovations are finished, it will be great.

Loved the hotel setting and the staff were super friendly and more than helpful. Room was a little outdated but I like the vintage style. The little shared garden attached to the room was lovely. There was a really lovely lady on reception that got us a dinner reservation in the Italian restaurant as I hadn't previously booked. She got us an early setting as we were travelling with my 16 month old. Lots of parking, ease of getting around. We also spoke to a different lady on reception in the evening who was more than helpful with getting me some milk for my daughter. She let us know about using the pool the following day after we check out also.

The bath had stickers down for a mat but no mat available. I'm 23 weeks pregnant and almost slipped as did my husband. This wasn't ideal and I let reception know on check out. The pool area also had no towels for us or others waiting to use the facilities so I had to ring reception. When I asked the staff member where we could get some when she arrived to the pool she couldn't understand me as she had no English. A little frustrating.

This was our second time staying in this wonderful hotel. Great to see several faces we remembered from our last stay, which you don't often see in the hospitality sector any more! Apart from being such a picturesque location, it really is the staff that make the experience! We ate in the Armento restaurant this time and it was fantastic, both the food and the service. The thermal suite is fab, particularly looking at the stars in zero degree temps from the outdoor hot tub was a spectacular experience. Breakfast was nothing short of a feast. Already looking at dates for our next stay 😊

Nothing, everything was exceptional!

We always love staying at Brooklodge, all the staff go above and beyond to assist in any way. Aoife on reception stood out for us, she literally could not do enough for me and my elderly mother, her warm welcome and gentle approach really was so comforting. The mezzanine suite was lovely and the bed so comfortable. Breakfast was as always fab as was dining in the strawberry restaurant. Big shout out to all the wonderful kind staff at brooklodge for all you do for all guests. You are all truly amazing.

Wish we could have stayed longer

Lovely stay our third time here in less than 2 years and it was as fab as ever. We got the added bonus of a room upgrade which was a nice surprise! Gorgeous stay and delicious meal in The Strawberry Tree restaurant

Not a complaint really but because everything is cashless nowadays and we chose to just charge everything to our room there werent many opportunities to tip their wonderful staff. It would be a recommendation to invest in Strikepay or TipJar apps to allow guests to tip staff digitally

Beautiful place to stay. The rooms, restaurants, bars and walking areas were all fabulous. All the staff were so super friendly. The two pools are great, and the jacuzzis are a really relaxing option after a long hike. My room was 316 with a door that opened up to a river, and I had some great sleep there, it was so peaceful. There was a wedding one night and I didn't hear anything. The bed is very comfy and and room is very clean. Great big bathroom. Robes and slippers are supplied. Tea and coffee in the room too. The location is fantastic. We went on some great hikes nearby, short drive to many great places. Breakfast was fab, hot food you can order and then loads of other items you can get yourself like granola, fruit, yogurt, fresh bread and cheese, croissant etc. loads of juices too. We used the snooker room one evening, great option to have at the hotel.

No air con in the rooms. I got a fan and the weather hasn't been great so it wasn't too bad but it would be roasting in the summer. The bar and cafe stopped serving food at 5 and 6pm so the only options for dinner are the Strawberry Tree and the Italian restaurant, La Taverna Armento. The Italian was fabulous, we went there twice but we booked the Strawberry Tree last minute and felt a bit disappointed by it, especially for the cost. They also had NO vegan options and nothing they could just prepare, I was mortified but was part of a group and I was trying to disappear. I think if you let them know in advance then you'd be ok but really surprising that such a nice place can't cater for all dietary requirements.

Breakfast was great very efficient staff and all are wants catered for l looking forward to returning but will bring appropriate clothing for the spa

Food options on the day of arrival which was a Sunday we had already eaten so we would only have needed a snack but according to the person on reception all this closed about 6 pm and it was only the the main restaurant available so we went to the local chippy second night Monday we went into the lounge to the right we did have a drink and my husband had his favourite apple crumble and ice cream the girl serving was great it’s just a pity we didn’t know it was available the evening before at reception on arrival my Revolut card would not work but perhaps that was because my phone was not at that point connected to the wi go
