Sue is an exceptional host - so warm, kind and friendly. She showed me how to use the key to open the front door, showed us to our room and gave us fresh towels for our room. She also gave us cups and milk so we could make tea/coffee in our room. The room was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and the bed was so comfy. It was lovely to wake up and look out to the well maintained garden every morning. We had breakfast every morning in the bright and spacious kitchen. Everything was clean and spotless everywhere, I couldn't fault it - it's a credit to Sue. We'll definitely be back and would highly recommend this B&B to other people. House was beautiful inside and out. Sue, the owner was very nice and extremely helpful. A major storm came in that night and she was very concerned that she may lose power and tried to alleviate any concerns about my comfort should power be lost and that I would be okay with the cold overnight. It seemed that power was not lost or if it was, only momentary loses. Sue made a very nice breakfast in the morning. Molly, her dog, made my stay even better...what a little sweetheart. Sue also told me about the Seal Rescue Ireland Visitor Center. If I had the time I would have visited the Center. They do important work. If you stay in the area, I would suggest visiting the Center.

I was fortunate enough to stay at Woodleigh Lodge whilst visiting my niece who was working as an intern at Seal Rescue Ireland recently. Sue was the perfect host. She was warm and welcoming, her home is spotless and incredibly comfortable, and she’s thought of everything to ensure a lovely stay. As I was travelling by myself, I particularly enjoyed chatting with Sue whilst enjoying a delicious home cooked breakfast. It’s the personal touch that sets Woodleigh Lodge apart and a perfect place to stay in Courtown.

Woodleigh Lodge has many points in its favour: the location is a short walk, about 10-15 minutes, to several restaurant and pub choices in the tiny town centre and the pretty waterfront area. The parking area is enclosed, secure and off the street. Sue is an amazing host, you’ll get a warm welcome a spotless house and a delicious breakfast. If you like a good walk with spectacular views, drive about 15 minutes to Tara Hill and try the red or blue trails. You can see just about the whole of County Wexford from up there!

Can’t think of a thing!

Everything was fine...I was late arriving and given a key and shown how to open the door. Breakfast was what I requested and on time. I had stayed before and we caught up on what had happened since last I stayed. I was happy to see Molly, her 20 year old dog was still walking and friendly.

The owner was very friendly and accommodating. There was nothing that I didn't like. The only regret was not being able to stay longer.

Great venue fiendly host. and lovely cooked breakfast.

Shower water was luke warm and water pressure was not that good

We were dropping off our daughter at the seal rescue centre in Courtown for a 4 month internship and found this gem of a hotel via research on Booking.com. Sue greeted us as we turned up in the car outside the property and could not have been a better host. We booked 2 rooms and Sue ensured that they were next to each other. The rooms were immaculate and the (included) breakfast just what we needed to fuel us for a long day. Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

We only stayed one night so probably not qualified to comment on this.

The property is clean, comfortable, secure and a short walk to the picturesque town centre.. Sue was a fabulous, welcoming host, who made sure we were well looked after, even providing fresh milk for tea in the bedroom. Sue was also a good source of information about restaurants and places to visit in the area. Thank you Sue (and Molly) for opening your home to us.

We did not have any issues or bad experiences during our stay.

The property & the way it was furnished was absolutely stunning, the attention to detail was just perfect! It was spotlessly clean & breakfast was delicious too. We will, without hesitation, be back & will also recommend to others. The host is so friendly & always had a smile on her face, a good lady with a good heart.

There wasn’t anything I disliked.

The Hostess was very friendly and helpful. She was excellent with our son! Food was delicious. House was immaculate and our room was very cozy. Bed was so comfy. Location was fantastic. So near Gorey and also near the sea. Will stay there again. Would highly recommend Woodleigh Lodge.
