Very well appointed, amazing staff, ample parking space, in a beautiful location and very peaceful. The place is historic. The bistro serves amazing food and a very good selection of beer and drinks. The Smoke House restaurant also serves very good food and it is by the river Avoca. Breakfast is excellent. Will definitely return to this great hotel.

We had family dinner at about 3-4pm and food was great no issue .We were staying in the hotel so everyone stayed for the evening but as happens everyone got hungry again around 8 and the hotel has no facilities to accommodate hungry people except crisps etc . There is also nothing near by go to to fill this gap .Not sure what the answer to this is but i presume its regulars issue as lots of golfers coming and going .Could definitely do wit ha new bar opening that can do bar food .But lovely stay .

Professional, friendly staff throughout hotel. Room was huge! Beds very comfy and beautiful view from the window. Breakfast and dinner in bar delicious. I returned this summer for another solo relaxing trip and was not disappointed. I'll certainly be back.

I booked a quiet room and it was quiet for the most part but I could hear live music from the bar late in evening and as I was opposite the carpark, there was noise late into night from people leaving. The hallway was quiet however and I appreciate that all noise cannot be blocked out!

the service for the evening meal was abysmal. Other than taking our initial order for food, the staff seemed to disappear. We had to attract their attention to order puddings that took over 30 minutes to appear. I went to find a member of staff to see what the delay was and was finally helped by one of the other guests who was obviously a regular in the hotel. Disappointing

Friendliest staff I've ever encountered in a hotel! Room was lovely and very comfortable bed. Nice bathroom with the strongest water pressure I've found in any hotel! Food in the restaurant was 5 stars.

The noise was very loud at night time as my room was above reception and the bar, it's impossible to sleep until after midnight with a lot of noise first thing in the morning as people go to breakfast. Some doors between reception and the bar would be great.

Lovely helpful bar staff giving me biscuits for my night time cup of tea in my room. Bar manager assisted me with getting cash when needed. Room spacious. Bed large and room airy. Best scrambled egg for breakfast in a long time. Sausages delish. Coffee very good. Spacious breakfast area and staff very attentive and efficient. Check in and out speedy and efficient

Thought toilet positioning a little cramped in bathroom of Room 106 but otherwise good bathroom.

Very comy and spacious room Breakfast had plentiful smoked salmon.... nice cofe not too strong Asked to keep something that was sealed ina bag in teh frifge overnight and no problem at all. Smoke house was great and made a fantastic diffeernce for a meal especially after traveling by car from north of London that day by ferry.

Can't really find fault with anything to be honest. My colleague said no biscuits in the room!

Great staff providing a warm welcome & friendly hospitality throughout my stay. Great location with both Wicklow & arklow within a short drive. Quick check in process. Nice food and service in the restaurant. For any golfers the hotel is directly accessible to the local golf club (literally a minutes walk across the road).

Bathroom, especially the grouting and silicone sealant in the area of both the shower and wash hand basin looking more than a bit tired which took away from a lovely laid out of the room.

Breakfast and dinner were generous and delicious, with excellent options for my gluten free requirements. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable with gluten free options. After a tiring day it was great to be able to eat in the hotel.

There were a lot of stairs down to our room, and we had bulky luggage. Although the lift came up to our floor, we still had a steep flight of stairs to manage. We didn’t like the What’s App contact from our room to the front desk, and would have preferred to have a phone available.

Extra large bed, very comfortable. Food in the restaurant was good and reasonably priced. Highly recommend the Red pepper rigatoni with king prawns or chicken. Music entertainment on both nights of our stay.

The room was very hot when we arrived but it was an unusually hot day. Staff provided fan on request which helped alot.
