I liked the location, walking distance to the airport, and hardly any aircraft noise, as the airport is a very quiet one.. The room was fine, a little dated, but it was clean, and it had everything I needed... The staff were very friendly, and the bar prices were reasonable.. I liked the coffee machine in the reception area, which was always available, so that was a great added touch..

Breakfast was a bit plain, I was hoping for a cooked breakfast etc.. Instead they offered toast, croissant, butter, jams, cheese, ham, and hot drinks and fruit juices . Which other guests seemed happy with, so it's maybe my problem..

Very quiet, friendly staff, excellent breakfast.

The only issue was the mattress, need new mattress. The shower cubicle needs silicon replacing around the bottom as black mould present.

Walking distance from/to the airport / bus stop. Room - small but clean with very comfortable bed and pillows. Very helpfull staff- the lady checked us in much earlier (10am) without any problem. Breakfast - each day the same selection but ok. Option to order some food from the kitchen. Parking - free of charge. It is 3*** hotel, not luxurious place, but we had fantastic time there. We found it as very good option - value for money.

I would only recommend to change the shower curtain and for breakfast it would be great to find some green vegies.But even that we had fantastic time there.

I have been a few times to the Sefton Express now and I like staying there as it is close to the airport and the bus stop, I use the bus as my main form of transport as they are regular and I think very good, pay in advance with the "Go" card and go all over the Island with the one payment. Breakfast is usually a continental breakfast and is excellent with a good choice, the staff are great and often boil you an egg and just generally keep the place buzzing a bit, very friendly. Overall a good comfortable place to stay, recommended.

It ticked all the boxes for me, a 78 year old male.

The staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble and one person brought in some glue for us to fix something of ours whilst we were there. Breakfast was great, very relaxing atmosphere especially in the evening when mixing with other guests. Really good location for south of island but nothing is too far away to explore all over anyway. The Sound Cafe is a must visit - amazing view out to Calf of Man and very good extensive menu. It does get very busy though even on a wet day but it's worth it. Went over to Island for TT Practice week and had a fab week. We will be back. Back to the hotel, the views from the upper landing windows are far reaching and beautiful to see on a very good day and you can see the weather from afar. I love the large nostalgic travel posters on the stairs. We found the bed very comfortable and had no trouble sleeping at all and despite its proximity to the airport, it did not affect our ability to fall asleep. The fresh air on a daily basis will take care of that. The airport is very convenient walk to catch a bus from and they seem very frequent to many destinations on the island. Plus there is a railway request stop close by to utilise too although we didn't this trip. Plenty of car parking spaces around the hotel too.

Room around the bed was a little snug but you cannot change the room size. We managed fine so it's not a big negative. Bathroom could do with updating in shower area but it was good water pressure, good size cubicle with easily adjustable controls to just how you like it, which is important to us when travelling.

Nice and friendly front of house, with good banter that matched our large group of varying characters. Everything was covered brilliantly and all our nuances were covered. Nothing was too much trouble and when little teething issues were found they were dealt with efficiently, (a faulty key card which just one of those things that happens). Definitely our first choice for future visits as our group/party seems to be growing year on year and it difficult to find somewhere that caters for all of us. Plenty of parking too.

The Sefton was ideally located for our particular stay on the Island (myself a 3 friends on motorbikes). There was ample parking and we managed to remain directly outside the main entrance of the hotel for the duration of our stay. There is an excellent bus service - very reasonably priced and runs until late. The bus stop is just over the road from the hotel and is located at the Airport. The airport has very few planes taking off and landing so sleep wasn't affected at all. I might be in the minority here; I also liked that the room is only serviced if you specifically request it to be.

No complaints at all.

Staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Quite a good selection of cereals, fruit, bread, croissants and eggs for breakfast. Cheese and ham slices, honey and marmite were also provided, so it was possible to make takeaway sandwiches. Quite a good selection of light and main meals, including some vegetarian options. Hot drinks from a machine freely available. Staff were able to do some laundry for us too. Hotel was quiet and peaceful and in close proximity to a very good bus service.

Although comfortable and quite well equipped with storage space, the room was rather cramped, with most of the area taken up by a large double bed. Other than this, there was just one communal dining area - although this was spacious with some comfortable chairs. Porridge was not served for breakfast, (staff said that this was due to lack of demand).

Good continental-style breakfast with reasonable selection. Iron and ironing board thoughtfully provided. Lovely and helpful staff. Although a bit basic, the room was clean and the bed very comfortable.

Shared tables, but I appreciate they need to optimise the smaller space. Somewhat tired decor in the rather small bedroom, with many curtain hooks missing, mouldy sealant round the shower, and the light above the bathroom basin not working. The outside needs maintenance to create a better first impression.
