This is a very dog friendly hotel. My two dogs were welcome anywhere in the hotel except the spa and pool (understandably). Our room had French doors that opened onto a large fenced off grass area perfect for them. The room had dog beds, bowls, toys and treats. It is unusual to find such an excellent hotel that is so genuinely dog friendly and I wish them every success. I must also mention the staff who were, without exception, friendly and helpful.

It's hard for me to fault this hotel on anything. If I have to mention something - the pool water was a little cold for my taste and the excellent breakfast deserves a proper coffee and tea machine (rather than just two flasks - coffee and tea, which was cold on one occasion).

The staff were very helpful and pleasant. The room was really lovely, bed comfortable. We ate here one night and the views accross golf course, pond and hills were lovely and we enjoyed the atmosphere, service and food in the restaurant. The Spa and pool were fantastic. The location is a only a very short drive from Douglas and easy to travel to anywhere on the Island. Our dog was so welcomed and well catered for - the hotel supplied a dog bed, water bowl, treats and a tennis ball!! It was a five star experience and fantastic value for money.

Not much to fault. Breakfast tea from a flask not to our liking. No hot water or ability to choose other teas is offered at the breakfast buffet (but on requesting staff did bring a very small jug of hot water) Breakfast Table tops without table cloths are a little grotty looking.

We loved the atmosphere and layout of the hotel. I brought a Mexican friend and her one year old son. They enjoyed their stay so much that they they are returning with her very large family. Breakfast was relaxed and staff friendly. Choice of food was exceptional and any request met with a smile and happy to help attitude. Care was taken to provide a high chair and to seat us in shade as we requested. Extra order of poached eggs brought to us in a timely manner cooked to perfection. My friend is a former manager of a prestigious hotel in Mexico so it was important to me that she enjoyed her stay.

Lovely facility and grounds. The view from the breakfast room looking across the golf course was nice and a real sun trap. The room (408) was comfortable and well appointed, with plenty of place and nice furniture. The WiFi worked well and we had a pleasant stay. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout and the breakfast buffet was generous in terms of its range and quality.

The layout is a bit confusing, so expect to spend a day or so familiarising yourself with where your room is and how to get about. Room 408 is on floor 2 and two floors down from the Reception space. It was an adventure to find the pool area.

From the moment you walk into this first class establishment you cannot fail to be impressed with the warm professional welcome from Freya Kat and Kelly on reception . All the rooms and facilities are finished to the very highest standard and dining in the restaurant be it breakfast lunch or dinner is truly a gourmet experience . The gymnasium, swimming pool and spa facilities are fabulous with Shannon and Cloey ensuring everything runs smoothly . I had a pedicure and massage with Ellie which were as good as I have had anywhere . Be sure to book up for Spa treatments as they are in great demand . In conclusion I can after three glorious nights at The Comis heartily recommend this outstanding hotel .

There is nothing not to like !

We were given a warm welcome by smart professional staff. The room was spotlessly clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable and the optional additional heating in the room was working well. The large shower in addition to a bath was appreciated. The supply of coffee sachets etc. was plentiful and in addition to a kettle there was also a coffee maker. The room had a pleasant view of the golf course. The house keeping staff at this hotel deserve a special mention, they are outstanding. The breakfast was excellent with a good selection of hot and cold food. The evening meal was superb with an excellent choice available.

Nothing.

The room was exceptionally comfortable with plenty of space and everything you need for a week away. The cold breakfast was excellent. Staff were attentive in the restaurant - a little less so on reception with the exception of a man who was always had a smile and a greeting for you. It's great not having to have the room cleaned every day - we waste so much money and resources on laundry I really appreciated that.

The room was generally clean although I did find a clump of hair on the carpet and some cotton wool underneath the washbasin. The 'hot' breakfast was only moderately warm Far too many dogs in the hotel - and really not what I expect in a restaurant

Beautiful hotel, with lovely views around it. Beds were absolutely so comfortable, rooms lovely, breakfast great. Staff friendly and so willing to help. Sofa by the bars so comfortable and relaxing to.

Massive lack of gluten free food, basically tuna or steak for main course. Of which I had both, eating with friends all of us had to wait for the rest of our meal to accompany the main dish which is odd.. even McDonald’s provide all food together. Just seems odd paying £38 for steak and waiting letting it get cold for chips! Which look cute in a silver thing but sooo hot to handle trying to get chips on the plate.

spa was exclusive, £50 per two hours, we came before and used to have spa available with pool as residents of hotel. also saddened to see Golf Club Restaurant all closed up and also the golf range closed down, dont know who is resposible but we used to enjoy these facilities too , they seem like a graveyard now. Also room was in basement, would have preferred room with better view of the lake on 4th floor etc...

The members of staff were a particular highlight, they couldn't have been more helpful and they always gave us a bright smile and friendly greeting when we walked past. They changed our rooms quickly and cheerfully on arrival as one of our party has mobility issues, and helped us with bus timetables. The room was spacious and the food was good. We enjoyed the spa facilities and a really simple but genius touch was the provision of reading glasses for filling in the forms!
