I had to call reception at 2am one morning to complain about the noise of a TV from the room next door, it was very loud, it too about 30 minutes for the night manager to wake the person up to switch off the TV. The streetlights were bright and shone through the gap in the curtains.

Breakfast was excellent with a lot of choice. Very clean and staff were all really friendly. Room we had was a lovely size and the bed was nice and firm to support my back. Lots of cupboard space and even a place to hang your coats which is rare in hotels.

Would have preferred a choice of food in the day and evening like bar food as the a la carte menu was too expensive for us. Also the pillows were too hard. A choice of soft and hard pillow would have been better to suit everyone.

Really enjoyed our stay and the staff were very friendly. Did not realise when booking what a brilliant location the hotel is in. We had a part sea vies room and this kept us entertained watching the harbour.

It was good to have off street parking, if limited, however the righthand bend was tight. With care we were able to get a Volvo estate round. I would use again.

I was in an atrium facing room and the noise from the bar area was truly deafening until midnight.

This is the 3rd time visiting family on the IOM but our 1st time at the Manning hotel and can say we'll be staying at this hotel again. The rooms were clean, the beds comfy, the staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good enough to start the day. There's a bar that we used a couple of times and it looked well stocked. All in all we had a fab stay. Thank you to all the staff!

The hotel is extremely clean and well kept. Very unusual interior balconies. Staff are all pleasant, helpful and informative and fulfilled my requests for both rooms on a lower floor and beside one another. Room facilities suited our needs really well, especially the mini fridge, microwave and sofa in my parents' room. Spacious room, flooded with sunlight (thanks to the really large windows) and beautiful view of the sea and docking ferries. Very comfortable bed. Lift went to both reception/breakfast area and also the underground carpark which was a bonus when checking out. Ample breakfast items which were always fully stocked. I can wholeheartedly recommend the porridge. Easy walking distance to the main shopping area/beach.

It was absolutely fabulous having underground parking but the actual downward slope to the car park spaces is quite tight to navigate with a large vehicle. We had a Landrover Discovery Sport jeep and it took careful negotiation but it was manageable. The staff do alert you to the fact that the space is tight so it's your own choice whether or not to use the car park.

We could hear a lot of noise from the Bar area but this did stop around midnight.

Breakfast was excellent, staff were very friendly & helpful eg getting times for steam train etc. also, the receptionists were exceptionally helpful, printing off our boarding passes & booking our taxi to the airport. The hotel is well positioned for getting around Douglas on foot.

My husband & I had dinner in the hotel on two night, my husband loved his dinner on both occasions. I loved my dinner the first night, (roast chicken) but unfortunately the second night I choose, chicken & leek pie, I was very disappointed as there were no leeks in sight nor did I like the flavours.

Great location close to the prom, has parking. Spotless, clean and Comfortable rooms with either a balcony or sea view. Full breakfast has a fantastic menu too. We’ve probably stayed 6 times now. It’s our hotel of choice.

It didn’t have drambuie at the bar on this occasion, but that was a minor error.

Breakfast was very good with a lot of choice of cereals, juices, pastries and hot food. Every member of staff we met was attentive and pleasant to interact with. The location is very convenient, within easy walking distance of the town centre, plus Douglas beach, bus and horse tram stops are just a few yards away on the esplanade. We had a partial sea view room, which was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. Can't really ask for more.
