We loved the citrus water dispenser at the reception. The hotel is in a great location to explore the city. The staff is very friendly. The room was beautiful and had everything we needed.

It was a bit cold in the room and it looked like the heating system wasn’t working… the staff offered additional blankets while fixing the problem.

terrible room-view was a brick wall looking down at trash dumpsters just in front of the elevator, very dark-no natural light---pretty bad when I booked two rooms exactly the same on different floors-not what I expected to get. Asked for a different room, told them I've stayed here before and they said no, this is what I booked. Not staying again.

My room was very clean and large with a king size bed and a lounge/ living room area. With televisions in each area. I really liked the huge bathroom with a choice of a tub or shower. Lots of fresh towels. Plenty of mirrors and a pretty good view. The hotel is very secure also. That was a plus and it was very easy to get the L train to the airport. The staff was superb, very ,very helpful and great attitudes toward every customer. Lots of good restaurants in the area with so many choices. Easy access to public transportation. I also liked the fact that the hotel is not too large. Although it was booked, there were not a lot of people jamming the hotel lobby.

Just put some forks and spoons in the drawers. Check out time can be noon rather than 11:00 a.m. The price was exorbitant. $717.00 plus tax for one night.

The hotel's location is perfect - in between Michigan Ave and the lake, close to restaurants, bars, shops and a grocery store. We were on the 4th floor and heard very little traffic noise below. Loved the size of the room and the bathroom - perfect for two people, with a little room to stretch out. Enjoyed the soaking tub - although it took FOREVER to fill and drain - and the rain shower, which was REALLY nice.

The mattresses were not as luxe as the rest of the room appointments would leave you to expect. And there was a bit of a funky smell coming from the sink in the "bar" area of the room near the minifridge. Other than those two things, everything was perfect!

The room was divided into three sections. The bathroom and wet bar, the sleeping room, and then the sitting room. The curtains and blackout shades were on electric switches (fun). The room was large and comfortable. The bath tub was incredible. My wife loves to go to Lush and get bath bombs for a soak, the tub was the largest we've ever had in a hotel. This boutique is chic!

My wife discovered that we didn't have a flat sheet between us and the douvay cover... at 3:30am. We spoke with the front desk in the morning, and the manager of the room cleaning staff was on hand. She let us know that there are two ways that they make up the beds. So if you have a preference, check when you get to your room. They are happy to accommodate your preference. Thank you, Ivy Hotel.

I would stay here again & again. This Hotel is exceptional. Great location, downtown, all attractions are walkable. There is plenty of great food surrounding you. The hotel room was Fabulous! Large beautiful rooms, yes plural!! The bathroom was very spacious and clean. The bed was so comfortable and I Love that there was a half wall that separated the bedroom from a large livingroom ! Motorized shades were a 🏆 touch. Really luxurious. 3 TV's in the room was also amazing. 1 was in the mirror in the bathroom! I would've thought that this Hotel would be very expensive but it was quite reasonable..

The room was more than spacious, bathroom was incredible, very comfortable. Cucumber water offered all 3 days we were there was very nice, as we were so parched by the time we returned each day, thank you!

When we arrived, my son wasn't feeling great. So I called to ask for early check in, and was shut down immediately-no rooms were ready - at 2:30 in the afternoon? It would be nice if the Ivy was a little more flexible for traveler's driving in from a distance, and allow early check in.

I was very, very impressed! Some might look down at the lack of amenities, but they have taken the concept of a no-frills hotel and pretty much perfected it! Plus you are in the middle of the Gold Coast so there’s plenty to do around there!! The room was super clean, very well decorated in a modern theme… The hotel as a whole had a nice vibe!! Seriously would recommend this hotel for anyone who really wants to spend the day exploring Chicago and coming back to a very comfortable bed for the night!

So trivial but the lights were confusing at first but when you notice the light switches control the front and middle parts of the room it’s actually a smart way to control them!

The hotel was beautiful - full of texture and different substrates and patterns. Our room was large and well-decorated. We stayed in a King suite and the living room was where the windows were. There was a wall separating the bedroom from it, so the morning light wasn't an issue. They also had automated curtains and shades, which was wonderful. There was a large TV in both areas, which was nice. The shower was spacious and the rainfall shower-head was lovely. There was also a double sink, a large tub, and a make-up mirror. The bed was super comfortable and we slept like babies. The location was perfect - we walked to Navy Pier and all through the shopping district. There were plenty of places to shop and eat. The staff was lovely!

You could hear doors closing in the hallway, which wasn't terrible since there were only 5 rooms on the floor. Upside - we never heard the neighbors.

It was the first time in my life, after more than one hundred different hotels in more than 30 countries I visited, that we arrived two hours before the time to check-in. After being asked if they had a room available, the lady at the front desk said yes, we have, but you have to pay an extra fifty dollars to access it at this moment, another way you have to wait until the official check-in. It is unusual and it is an abuse and rudeness to the client.
