We always stay at this hotel when we visit Newport. I was traveling with a friend and my 14 year old boys. We like that even though we don't splurge for a room with a view, there are still sitting areas with large windows to enjoy the ocean view. The firepit is fantastic! We love the short trip to the beach from the back of the hotel. We also like that is just around the corner from Taco Bell and Walmart. This hotel is really nice and comfortable. Beds and bedding is comfortable and CLEAN! I've never felt uncomfortable at this hotel. Can't leave without mentioning their fantastic pool. It's very large, so even when another family is visiting you still have space to yourselves. Hot tub is a huge bonus.

The only thing that comes to mind is that this trip the room we stayed in must have had a cat in it before we stayed. I could smell the liter and cat smell but I'm also allergic and sensitive. It dissipated with the AC on and we became nose blind to it after a while. Just was annoying when entering the room. But can't complain much, this is a pet-friendly hotel. I feel like if I had asked to move rooms they would have accommodated me, they're very friendly.

Georgeous view onto the ocean, BUT from upper floors only!

Check-in was not very satisfying. We had booked an ocean view room and were put into a smelly room on level 1 with a bunch of trees blocking our view. When asking for a different room, we were told that our booking had been submitted incorrectly by booking.com and that we would not be eligible for ocean view. Very unfriendly experience, I have to say. In the end, they gave us a very nice an clean room with a wonderful room. I wish we could have avoided the unfriendly check-in process.

We were upgraded to an "Ocean View Room" which was a very agreeable and unexpected surprise (we had originally booked a hillside room) - the view was glorious and really enhanced our short stay. We thoroughly enjoyed going to the pool and having a swim after driving all day. There were plenty of towels available at the pool which a big plus. Also, the parking lot at the top with sky bridge was great idea. Really made it easy to unload and come and go.....almost forgot...really appreciate that the Wi-Fi was so easy to jump on and kept a good strong fast signal.

Our room was all around well done. Clean and comfortable. The only negative would be the sliding bathroom door. It really doesn't provide privacy and its noisy to open and close. A conventional door or a pocket door would be a nice improvement.

From the moment we pulled onto the property we were impressed with the hotel. The location is wonderful, the ocean view from our room was stunning. The room was beautiful and clean at check in. Housekeeping actually came by every morning that we were there, which was great! The pool and hot tub were clean and well maintained. The restaurant was very nice and comfortable and served delicious food. We had room service for breakfast as well, twice during our stay and enjoyed it very much. Our stay as a whole was completely enjoyable.

The 1 tiny thing we didn’t care for too much was that our room didn’t have a bathroom door that closed for complete privacy. Instead, it was a sliding door that left very large gaps on both sides of the door and couldn’t lock ofcourse because it didn’t actually close. We are a family of private people, so that was the one thing we didn’t really enjoy. But honestly, everything else about the hotel and the room was so wonderful that we didn’t really let that bother us too much. Even with the bathroom being how it was, we would stay here again in a heartbeat!

We keep coming back because we can have a gorgeous view of the ocean and listen to it from the room. It has easy access to the beach, wonderful for brisk morning walks. If the weather is iffy, we can enjoy the well equipped fitness center and pool and spa. The restaurant has good food and excellent bar.

Though we really love the place and appreciate the service and friendly staff, some of the furniture in the restaurant could be replaced, and we found the bed in our room to be a bit overly soft. But those are small things.

I loved the facilities and how close the hotel was to the ocean with beach access. The food was outstanding and the staff was so helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable about the area.

My boyfriend and I ended up in a room next to a bunch of young children who were very loud and the walls were very thin there was also a dog barking when we arrived. In the future maybe trying to put couples on one side of the floor and families on the other. That way kids can have fun and couples don't have to hear the kids.

Quick check-in. Comfortable and clean room. Great AC. We spontaneously decided to stay in town an extra night and they were able to accommodate us without any issues. We enjoyed the pool, glad that it wasn't an echo chamber like most indoor pools. Loved the hot tub, kids loved the large pool. 3 1/2 feet - 6 feet. Soda machines were Pepsi products, listed at 2.50 but it only charged my bank for $1 each. We went with a hillside view to save money but there was a large window with a seating area by the elevators that had an amazing view. Complimentary coffee in the lobby and a cold water machine. We loved the fire pit. I figured it would always be crowded but we had many opportunities to chill as a family next to it. We loved that the beach was so close. puzzles and chess in the lobby that my teens enjoyed.

"market" was pricey. Only cans of pepsi products in vending machines, no food vending machines. hotel restaurant was very expensive wished there were more outlets in the room.

The property was right off the road, somewhat east to find but also felt hidden and secure. I loved that there is a restaurant inside and you can get a view while enjoying wonderful food. It was a perfect getaway for my birthday weekend.

We had a room with ocean view. We wish the balcony would’ve been big enough to sit out there, but at least there was a sliding glass door and we could still hear the ocean and feel the breeze. I was sad we didn’t get to enjoy the pool, we were told the wrong closing time so when we went it was already closed. Other than that, it was a great stay.

Beautiful property and location. Comfy and spacious rooms. Good location to town and beach; literally the beach on one side and a road into town on the other. On-site restaurant was great.

Wish their as a grab and go option for breakfast for those that have to check out early. We had to leave before the restaurant opened and the store in the lobby had limited options.

Check-in process. Congenial staff. Very neat and tidy room. Beautiful ocean view. Super comfortable bed and pillows. Best hotel stay anywhere in a long time. I could not hesitate to recommend accommodation to anyone.

The only thing we didn't like is that we should have made a longer reservation. The hotel had a very large group at breakfast, which slammed the kitchen. We had been informed that service could be delayed. It was rather speedy after all at the expense, I believe pre-preparation of some of the food items included with each meal; not piping hot but passable. Fortunately there's one item to work out however we tipped generously despite the busy breakfast.
