The front desk staff was very friendly, checking in & out was a breeze. Love that there's a restaurant & bar with room service. Also love having a nicely heated pool & hot tub. And beautiful views of the beach that u can walk to. We actually had booked at another hotel but had some issues 2 days before our stay there & we were thankfully lucky enough to get a room at Best Western Plus at the last min. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

Only issue we had was the first night there was a last min time change for the pool & hot tub "adult time". Also, had housekeeping walk in our room the last day without knocking. Please train housekeeping to knock first. Lol Could be very embarrassing for all involved.

We always stay at this hotel when we visit Newport. I was traveling with a friend and my 14 year old boys. We like that even though we don't splurge for a room with a view, there are still sitting areas with large windows to enjoy the ocean view. The firepit is fantastic! We love the short trip to the beach from the back of the hotel. We also like that is just around the corner from Taco Bell and Walmart. This hotel is really nice and comfortable. Beds and bedding is comfortable and CLEAN! I've never felt uncomfortable at this hotel. Can't leave without mentioning their fantastic pool. It's very large, so even when another family is visiting you still have space to yourselves. Hot tub is a huge bonus.

The only thing that comes to mind is that this trip the room we stayed in must have had a cat in it before we stayed. I could smell the liter and cat smell but I'm also allergic and sensitive. It dissipated with the AC on and we became nose blind to it after a while. Just was annoying when entering the room. But can't complain much, this is a pet-friendly hotel. I feel like if I had asked to move rooms they would have accommodated me, they're very friendly.

We had a beautiful ocean front room, with narrow balcony, and could hear the waves from the beds. I loved the bathtub, short walk to the beach, and restaurant.

The gym was small and cramped, with only enough room for one person to work out comfortably. However there is a gorgeous beach right there for jogs and yoga

Check-in was not very satisfying. We had booked an ocean view room and were put into a smelly room on level 1 with a bunch of trees blocking our view. When asking for a different room, we were told that our booking had been submitted incorrectly by booking.com and that we would not be eligible for ocean view. Very unfriendly experience, I have to say. In the end, they gave us a very nice an clean room with a wonderful room. I wish we could have avoided the unfriendly check-in process.

We were upgraded to an "Ocean View Room" which was a very agreeable and unexpected surprise (we had originally booked a hillside room) - the view was glorious and really enhanced our short stay. We thoroughly enjoyed going to the pool and having a swim after driving all day. There were plenty of towels available at the pool which a big plus. Also, the parking lot at the top with sky bridge was great idea. Really made it easy to unload and come and go.....almost forgot...really appreciate that the Wi-Fi was so easy to jump on and kept a good strong fast signal.

Our room was all around well done. Clean and comfortable. The only negative would be the sliding bathroom door. It really doesn't provide privacy and its noisy to open and close. A conventional door or a pocket door would be a nice improvement.

Beautiful spot with a dramatic ocean view. I stay here every summer on my way down the coast. Feels secluded even though it’s right next to stores. Staff are absolutely wonderful. Other hotels on the coast are hit and miss; this one is consistently excellent.

This year the pool and hot tub were pretty funky. I wish the hot tub was open later and limited to adults only after 9 so I could have a soak after my kids go to sleep. Minor quibbles!

From the moment we pulled onto the property we were impressed with the hotel. The location is wonderful, the ocean view from our room was stunning. The room was beautiful and clean at check in. Housekeeping actually came by every morning that we were there, which was great! The pool and hot tub were clean and well maintained. The restaurant was very nice and comfortable and served delicious food. We had room service for breakfast as well, twice during our stay and enjoyed it very much. Our stay as a whole was completely enjoyable.

The 1 tiny thing we didn’t care for too much was that our room didn’t have a bathroom door that closed for complete privacy. Instead, it was a sliding door that left very large gaps on both sides of the door and couldn’t lock ofcourse because it didn’t actually close. We are a family of private people, so that was the one thing we didn’t really enjoy. But honestly, everything else about the hotel and the room was so wonderful that we didn’t really let that bother us too much. Even with the bathroom being how it was, we would stay here again in a heartbeat!

We keep coming back because we can have a gorgeous view of the ocean and listen to it from the room. It has easy access to the beach, wonderful for brisk morning walks. If the weather is iffy, we can enjoy the well equipped fitness center and pool and spa. The restaurant has good food and excellent bar.

Though we really love the place and appreciate the service and friendly staff, some of the furniture in the restaurant could be replaced, and we found the bed in our room to be a bit overly soft. But those are small things.

We were upgraded to ocean side room and it was nice. Good location, room was nice and big enough. Loved and pool and hot tab.

On the second day, ( June 2nd) we we're trying to take a nap in the room. However, our room was right by the elevator and they had some work in the elevator. It was so loud and couldn't rest at all. It was a little disappointment that no body informed us about the maintenance work.

Loved the firepit. The staff was super accommodating to our big, unwieldy group (family reunion). Particularly, the restaurant staff was so patient with us and our evolving needs.

It was pretty expensive for not being right on the beach. You are not around other restaurants, etc. So you always have to get in your car to find food or entertainment that’s not right on the property.
