The spacious bedroom with balcony and sea view was exceptionally well equipped with every little thing you might need and which is so often missing eg long hanging space, easy to operate safe, shelves for suitcases, conveniently positioned sockets, window shutters, a full length mirror, bedside tables with a drawer and shelf, a fridge, spare pillows and a comfortable bed. The bathroom had a good shower, good lighting, a shaving mirror, hooks on the wall, towel rails, shower caps, conditioner, a good hairdryer and plentiful large towels. The staff were all very helpful and friendly and the housekeeping staff were very efficient. We loved the shady terrace area at the front of the hotel, a very pleasant spot to relax with a book or enjoy an evening drink.

The breakfast was very disappointing and could so easily have been improved eg with more choice of fresh fruit, better quality bread, a choice of soft or hard boiled eggs… The scrambled eggs were not to our liking. However the coffee was excellent and the teabags were good quality. It was a 15-20 minute walk to the old town but a pleasant stroll along the pedestrianised promenade. There was free parking outside on the street but it was not always easy to find a space. There was no lift but we were told there are plans to install one next year. But these points don’t detract from the fact that overall we were very impressed with this hotel.

Location was great. Walking distance to the old town & port. There is a bus stop outside the hotel that can drop off to the beautiful beaches, however the reception staff neglected to share this important info!!! Lots of bars near the hotel to enjoy an Aperitivo and there are night markets. Location is the winner here !

The air conditioning was not effective & the shower head was a drip of water! They soon changed the shower head when I told them about the problem. No coffee/tea facilities in the room or the complimentary bottled water which I’ve experienced in other hotels in Sardinia. The hotel is very very tired - my room as well as the reception foyer areas- very dated. Definitely requires a refurbishment with an Interior colour designer.

Loved the room, at front of hotel with views across the bay from the balcony and good range of places relax in both inside and outside areas Breakfast was excellent. Staff helpful Very attractive old town with lots of options for bars and restaurants, shops etc, plus a variety of boat trips (we did the grotto - brilliant!)

Nice location on front, only c. 10 minutes easy walk into lovely old town, but more than double that to the nearest proper beach area which is the other side of the town to the hotel. Free street parking but v busy near hotel, though no problem to park on the road along the front heading away from the town - 4 or 5 minutes walk back in ur case.

Loved this hotel right across the street from the walking / bicycle path along the water. Our sea view room had a great view of the Med from our balcony. Squeaky clean and comfortable room, strong air conditioning, and comfortable beds. Shower had good pressure, lots of hot water and a rain shower. Breakfast was good, eggs and meats along with sweets. Safe and secure bicycle parking in their courtyard. Very friendly and helpful staff! I would love to return and highly recommend!

This is one of the best hotels I ever stayed in. The location was very good: on the sea-front, close to the bus station where the airport bus stops, within walking distance from the old city, other tourist points and one of the beaches, and with a grocery store nearby. We arrived a bit earlier in Alghero and we were lucky to be able to check-in. The room was sparkling clean and it had everything. Not only it was so well-equipped and practical, but it was nicely designed, with cute blue tiles in the bathroom matching other details in the room. We didn't know that breakfast was included, because it wasn't specified when we booked, so this was the most beautiful surprise. The staff was really nice and they helped us with calling a taxi when needed.

Perfect as it is. Perhaps just try to advertise the breakfast that's included a bit more, as it is a pity if other guests don't get the chance to enjoy good Italian food in the morning.

The hotel is a solid, clean, well designed place. It's a great base for Alghero with good people running it and working there. The breakfast experience was always good, and the staff were always helpful and friendly while working hard to be professional, aware and attentive, a good combination. The room was clean, as advertised, with lots of storage. The little sea-facing balcony was great for sitting out and watching the world go by.

Through no fault of the hotel there was a little late night reveller noise from the streets on Saturday night.

Everything was perfect. Hotel is in a great location. On the lungo mare. The staff were so nice and the waiters made a fuss of me. I had dinner bed and breakast and the food was very good, Mediterranean syle dinner and lots of fruit and delicious croissants for breakfast, even bacon eggs and sausage if you prefer. I had a large sun terrace attached to my room with magnificent sea view and the small beach was just across the road. Also the hotel is near to the centre of Alghero and old town. The staff arranged for a taxi to the airport for me and it was quite reasonable. Will definitely book again.

Nothing. My room was a single room as was quite small but this didnt bother me as I was only there for 3 days.

We had a rocky start our flight was delayed arriving to the island at 1.30am not a taxi around rang hotel and Elena couldn't do enough for us we arrived to be met by a smile of the night porter again who couldn't do enough for us .this set the bar for an amazing stay Breakfast was plentiful and fresh again the staff were warm and welcoming El Balear you should be proud of your team who are a credit to Italian hospitality Our room was clean and comfortable with a view of the garden so peaceful Keep up the good work

Parking is a real issue - pot luck finding a free space along the street although all Parking in the area is free. Second night we had 10 minute walk from where car was parked to the hotel

This hotel is absolutely beautiful and exceeded all my expectations. The location is perfect, stunning sea views and just steps from the promenade. It’s also a short, scenic walk to the old town, which was a big plus. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, a truly fantastic experience. Highly recommended!
