We loved our stay in Da Umby. We arrived late at night and there was no issue. In the room, there is a fridge, stocked daily with milk, water, juice, butter, even a dessert! There is a continental selection of biscuits, Madeira cakes, croissants and much more. Even a coffee machine! Umberto and his wife were kind enough to lend us some beach towels. There is lovely communal patio with chairs and table for breakfast outside in the morning. I loved that the bathroom had a seal of hygiene to show it was clean! It was quiet, peaceful, a short walk to a beautiful little cove, Spiaggia di las Tronas, full of fish and coral to explore the water with. The old town comes alive at night and is only approx a 10 minutes walk away.

Definitely Umberto the host is the highlight of the place, always available and helpful, he collected us from the airport and then drove us back for departure, he provided to our every (within reason) request, very nice person. The location is also perfect, within walking distance from old town, on the seaside overseeing a golf, near the best hotels in the area.

The room was somehow moist and with closed atmosphere (we had one on the ground floor). The presentation on the site is accurate and we did not expect more, it was clean and quiet - except for the temporary works happening in the vicinity at the time of our stay.

Da Umby's rooms are situated on the beachfront (rocky beach). Just accross the road there is a lovely promenade which leads to the historic centre in around 10 mins where we enjoyed a lovely stroll every evening after dinner and watched the lovely sunsets. The sandy beaches are also around 30 mins walk away. The room was clean & was well stocked with a mini bar, coffee machine & a breakfast basket full of treats. The biggest plus of this accomodation is Umberto the host, who was super friendly, always smiling and extremely helpful and always went out of his way to fulfill our every need. He also drove us to and from the airport and was always at hand for all our questions. I definitely recommend this accomodation if you wish to be in a good location.

I really cannot complain about anything, we had all necessities in the room. However if i can mention 2 small negatives that would make the room more comfortable i would say: 1. We only had 1 bedside table in the room since 2 didn't fit, perhaps the installation of a small shelf on the wall would help replace the lack of bedside table. 2. Also the wardrobe was extremely tall so in order to use the hanging rail, one needed to use the rod supplied. This system is not so practical while on holiday and you need to access your hanging dresses more than once a day. A smaller wardrobe would be more practical. However i would say they are small improvements rather than complaints.

The host Umberto was excellent! He was helpful in everything. The accommodation was clean and very well equipped. The sea was close at hand and the city center was a short walk away, about 10 minutes from the accommodation. I can only recommend this accommodation to everyone. It was 10 points of 10 for us! Our host was very friendly, the view was amazing, and the walk from the hostel to the city center is beautiful (following the coast)

The AC didn’t work and we got very hot during the night, and the breakfast was a bit disappointing

Umberto is a great host. I booked and paid for 2 nights, but then end up staying only 1 night due to a change of work schedule. The host offered me to come back anytime and stay there for one night consider I used the room only for night. He was very helpful on any request I made. The location is great

Soundproofing not great you can hear people in the apartment above.

Amazing hidden gem in Alghero. Host are amazing people, holding this family buisness as good as someone coud do it. So kind and helpfull. Rooms are big , clean and have everything you may need. Also amazing thing is breakfast here. You get your own basket with coffee,tee, and food for next morning. Also in fridge it waits you juices, milk, sweets.

Everything was amazing!

The apartment is perfect. It's clean and well equiped. It's near the sea, where you can watch sunset. In room you can find some snack, water and coffee set. Totally recommend it!
