Stunning view , pictures on their website does not do justice to how beautiful the hotel is and how perfect the view from the rooms are . The restaurants were excellent and food was simply delicious . Breakfast was incredible and I am vegetarian and gluten intolerant and they had tons of options for me and my husband who has no food restrictions. We dined at both their restaurants and they were both incredible but of course our 8 course dinner at Glycine their Michelin star restaurant was my fav. The staff were incredibly helpful and just so nice and went out of their way to accommodate our every need and requests. they arranged for our trip to Capri - ferry , cab to Napoli and Mt Vesuvius . The wait staff at the restaurant have to be mentioned for their extremely diligent service and customer care.

Shuttle service to the city center - we were told the shuttle service ran every 15 mnts or so but we had to walk back every time we went down to the city center which is an uphill 15 mnt walk . Not a problem for us but might be for those who can’t make the uphill walk . everytime we called and requested for the shuttle to pick us up , we were told to wait at a certain point and nobody picked us even after 45 mnts . when called the hotel about it , their excuse was that there was a lot of traffic that the shuttle was stuck in , we walked back the exact same route the shuttle takes and it was obvious there was no traffic and the shuttle and driver would be at the front of the hotel .

Literally our stay could not have been any better. Like another reviewer said, come and stay at the Hotel Santa Caterina if you want to feel special. The hotel retains an aesthetic of old school class and hospitality that you don't find elsewhere; the staff are absolutely incredible and genuinely care about being as hospitable as possible - they're kind, thoughtful, pay attention to every detail (most you likely will never even perceive). The hotel is visually beautiful, the views are immaculate, the entire property smells like beautiful wisteria (in the spring), you have breakfast with the most breathtaking views you could possible imagine (no breakfast will be the same). Overall, this is perfection in hotel form.

Everything was perfect, from the beautiful room, the terraces, bars, restaurants, to the pool and other facilities. The staff were so helpful, nothing was too much trouble, everything you could need had been thought of in advance. I loved all the hidden away spots where one could sit and admire the view. I had a particularly good dinner at Glicince; as a solo traveller sometimes servers don’t know what to do with you - whether to talk to you, or put you in a corner and leave you alone. Here, the service was pitched perfectly; they judged very quickly what level of engagement might be welcome and got it exactly right. Needless to say the food was excellent.

Fantastic setting with impeccable service. Staff couldn’t do enough for us, in all of the restaurants at reception and by the pool. The bar is stunning and the food was delicious. Amazing choice at breakfast especially the pastries. Our room had some ants as it was in the garden so we were instantly upgraded to a stunning suite. The extra details from the restaurant recommendations, early check in, the Dyson hairdryer and the make up towel in the room, to being offered iced water throughout the day all added to an incredible stay. We loved the Prosecco and treats from the chef on arrival to celebrate our honeymoon too. This is an expensive hotel but it was a real treat and we would love to come back in future!

A stunning hotel, located a few hundred meters from the busy center of Amalfi, the view from the hotel is like the most beautiful painting, we got a very beautiful room, full of stylish lamps and accessories, with an amazing view. The hotel has its own beach, which is not common on the Amalfi Coast, you can spend a day right by the sea. The hotel has two restaurants, including one right next to the beach, the Amalfi and sea view from the restaurant is amazing. Excellent breakfasts, service, everything. There is also a small souvenir shop and very beautiful handmade jewelry. Amazing place!

Nothing, this was a perfect stay.

The location is great, with beautiful sea views and views of Amalfi town. Breakfast was excellent, there was an extensive choice of fresh fruit, pastries, cold meats and cheeses, a hot buffet and also the option to order from a menu for something specific such as eggs benedict. The staff were very friendly and helpful, from concierge to breakfast waiters and housekeepers, shuttle drivers etc.

Service is impeccable. Location cannot be beat. Views for days. Several excellent dining options, including a Michelin star restaurant. And an amazing breakfast buffet to start your day. You pay for all this excellence, but it is the best place to stay in Amalfi.

Remember this hotel first opened 120 years ago. It is not modern, or grand in any physical way. More like an elegant grandparent, the one that you envied for their style.

Incredible family owned hotel. It’s an old hotel and a bit run down but beautiful nonetheless. Every member of staff and especially Antonia at the front door are so friendly. It’s a magical place just 5-10 mins from amalfi town. Food at the upstairs restaurant was amazing.

I thought the food in the beach bar and downstairs restaurant was average and extremely expensive. €30 for a salad that was tiny. An average person needs to order two to fill their appetite. A side of fries was €17. I think for a beach bar they should have better prices or at least better portions. We loved the hotel and happy to pay for the experience but it’s not nice feeling ripped off. We went to amalfi town for lunch on the second day and had amazing food with much better portions so definitely don’t eat lunch at the hotel everyday. Nothing is cheap around here but we expect a bit more for the prices. They also need to update some facilities like the beach bathrooms and the lobby toilets.
