Rina is such a nice host. We feel very comfortable in her house, with her cat and dogs around. When we walked from bus stop to her house, we saw flowers, lemon groves on the way, we had a taste of hiking on the mountains of Amalfi coast. My 11 year old son walked without problem with his backpack. Rina prepared a delicious breakfast on her porch for us, with eggs from her own chickens. The view from the room balcony is spectacular, we can see Amalfi town, the sun rise and the moon. We also met the donkey postman! We had a great stay. Thanks Rina!

Rina is an absolutely amazing host! She was there to personally greet us when we arrived and was available throughout our stay to answer questions, give suggestions, or just be helpful. The breakfast was very good and included fresh tomatoes, cheese, eggs, bread, DELICIOUS HOMEMADE JAMS, coffee, and juice. She offers dinner on her patio for an additional fee ($40 Euros per person) - DO IT AT LEAST ONCE!!! The only thing she does better than host is cook. It was one of our favorite parts and best meals of our entire stay. The room itself was very comfortable and the views were breathtaking! We would 100% recommend and hope to visit again someday.

It's a bit of a walk from central Amalfi, but doable if you're in decent shape. It would take us about 15 minutes to walk down and about 20 or so to walk back up. There are a lot of stairs...A LOT...but the views are part of what makes it special. Our room did have a bathroom that was separated from our bedroom, but we had the entire top are of the villa to ourselves so it wasn't a huge deal. The bath/shower is extremely small, but manageable.

If you want to feel like you are part of the local fabric, this place is it! It was like I was visiting Thea’s house. Rena took great care of us, breakfast was perfect and a 4 course nightly dinner was completely homemade! And both were on the patio with an amazing view of Amalfi.

A word of caution, the villa is 200 steps up from the street. If you are not in decent physical shape to climb the steps, this is not the place for you. We are in our 60s and we did fine, but I would not recommend it if you have a heart condition or any physical disability. For those willing to take the climb, the view and Rena’s hospitality are well worth it!

My girlfriend and I stayed for four nights at Villa Rina and it was truly a unique experience. We arrived by car which Rina arranged a parking spot for. Be prepared to spend some extra, parking doesn’t come for free anywhere in Amalfi. The town and some of the beaches are reachable by foot. We had an amazing view over the beautiful gardens and the coast of Amalfi. Our room was very clean and comfortable, and we had access to our very own terrace. Most importantly though, the host, Rina, makes this place special. She is super friendly and you can feel that she puts her heart into her work. We can especially recommend tasting her food, which is made by homegrown, local ingredients, often from her own garden. We are already looking forward to stay here again in the future! Thank you Rina for this wonderful experience.

We had the most incredible stay! Rina’s villa truly has the best view in all of Amalfi — absolutely breathtaking. While there are quite a few stairs to get to the villa, they are 100% worth it, and honestly, you feel your best physically each day because of them. Rina is an amazingggggg cook. Do yourself a favor and enjoy at least one of her meals — I had the best tiramisu of my life! The breakfast each morning was also incredible, so fresh and delicious. We loved every part of our stay with Rina and can’t wait to return. Highly recommend!

The view from Villa Rina is spectacular and one we will never forget. Rina was very welcoming and gave us great information about the locality. Before my visit I was apprehensive about the 226 steps up to the villa mentioned in reviews, but soon got used to it and enjoyed the exercise. The short walk into Amalfi is easier and there are spectacular views all the way. (See photo of town through little church archway on walk.) What I loved most about staying here was being surrounded by nature and lemon trees and the amazing view!!! . A very special place!!

Dinner was great, but my appetite is small and I would love to have had an option of a one plate dinner option.

What a perfect way to end a month in Italy. If you are not afraid of stairs... paradise awaits. Walk up hill though a lemon grove, and find yourself on a patio overlooking the Amalfi Coast . Birds chirp and the chaos of Amalfi town is forgotten. A breakfast of eggs and scones topped with homemade fig, orange, and grapefruit preserves is included, but the real gem is the add-on dinners. Organic vegetables, breads, pasta, and dessert. Wine and lemoncello included. We booked one night and decided to eat with Rina all three evenings. Absolutely the highlight of our trip.

As long as you are willing to climb the stairs, there is absolutely no downside.

The stunning view and the wonderful atmosphere. The host Rina is so kind and helpful. She takes care of her guests as if they were her own family. She is also a great cook. We booked all three dinners of our stay and were very happy with this decision. The last day happened to be my birthday, and Rina was so kind to bake me a birthday cake. I had an unforgettable birthday celebration at Villa Rina under the lemon trees. We will definitely come back again. Highly recommended if you don’t mind the many steps lead to the house.

The many steps. But the view above is worth the climbing.

Rina was an absolute pleasure, a fantastic host. We did the cooking lesson with her and really enjoyed it. I would recommend it to anyone. The villa was located at an absolutely stunning point along the coastline providing beautiful views from the balcony of our room, and a picturesque backdrop for our morning coffee and breakfast. While it’s true getting to the villa is a little bit of work, it’s worth every moment, and really, if you savor it, it’s actually quite beautiful. The room was fantastic it never got hot in there despite some hot days. There was ac, but we didn’t end up needing it. Room was very clean and inviting, the shutters kept a nice breeze going through while maintaining privacy when we wanted it. Again Rina and her staff were excellent and our visit to the Amalfi coat was made all the better because of them. I can’t recommend it enough. My wife and I want to thank you again Rina for the wonderful service you provide there for people visiting the coast.

Spectacular views of Amalfi, nice and friendly host, freshly prepared meals, intimate setting with only a few rooms, meaning limited number of guests at any time. We especially appreciated knowing the ingredients were all sourced from the garden and market daily, including homemade jams, lemonade, and fruits and veggies. We felt it was a unique way to experience Amalfi compared to staying at a hotel. We were treated very well and personally as guests by Rina and her staff. Rina gave us great suggestions to help guide us during our time exploring Amalfi Coast. She speaks great English and we had no problems communicating. We didn’t have any issues with the many steps leading up to the property, albeit we visited in April when the weather is cooler. We suggest opting for the porter service on the way up (12 euros per bag). It’s very doable going down to carry the bags yourself. We chose to eat dinner at the Villa for all three nights during our stay, which is well worth the 40 euros pp, as you get many courses and about a bottle of wine plus limoncello. We would love to stay again when we return to Amalfi, and we plan to recommend Villa Rina to our friends and family.

We felt very comfortable during our stay, only one thing that could improve would be upgrading the bed. The queen was made up of two twin mattresses, which we didn’t expect. However, we still slept fine.
