This family-run 2* hotel is better than many 3* hotels in Italy. The staff and the owners are extremely nice and kind. The breakfast is super for a 2* hotel. There is a parking at 50-100 metres from the hotel. The family runs also an excellent restaurant in the old town with wonderful panoramic view and delicious food. The restaurant is 15-20 mins climb uphill away from the hotel, though, but the effort is worth. Overall - very pleasant experience.

This is a wonderful, comfortable, clean and well managed 3 star hotel! The location is inside the Assisi wall, so when you open your shutters you look straight out over the city, the view is amazing! The facilities are exactly what you should expect in a 3 star hotel, very comfortable bed, good bathroom and TV when you want to relax. The staff are also amazing, so helpful and thoughtful, nothing is a trouble! They also make excellent coffee and a great breakfast! The location is just inside the City gate and 250 metres to St Francis’s basilica, just perfect!

Everything was good!

The hotel was very convenient for public transport (20m to bus connections to train station) and only a 5 minute walk to the Basilica of St Francis. The separate restaurant 'Le Terrazze di Properzio' run by the same family as the hotel was superb with an amazing view but beware it is approx a 20 min walk uphill.

The main centre of Assisi Piazza del Comune, where most of the restaurants are located is approx 20 min walk uphill.

Really handy location near bus stop for the airport, but also near important Basilica of St Francis, St Peter's, restaurants and shops. Staff friendly and very helpful, delicious breakfast options, bedroom spotless. Tree-shaded tables in front of the hotel. Tea/coffee facilities in bedroom. Bidet/toilet/shower ensuite, with hair dryer.

My bedroom was small but that was made clear in advance. The street cleaning lorry started early! The hotel is simple, modest and charming. I like it like that!

The staff couldn't have been more delightful. I enjoyed talking to them for suggestions for what to do. I was especially happy the hotel was located down the hill from the Basilica San Fransisco. I spent most of my worship time there. It was wonderful spending time with people from all over the world for Holy Thursday Mass and Good Friday Service.I will most certainly stay there again.

Nothing. I thought it was an ideal place to stay. because of its located to the Basilica of San Francisco, shops and restaurants.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, even finding a tube of Bostick glue to repair a shoe. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The room was kept meticulously clean. The air-conditioning was a real asset for our top floor room and outdoor temperatures reaching 30C+. Breakfast was just right for us. Though a little down the hill, we enjoyed the location as it was quieter and with a simple but beautiful church opposite. There was also a connection with a restaurant, La Terrazze de Properzio, a bit of a walk but well worth it.

Overlooking the bus stop meant we were sometimes woken up earlier than we intended.

Hotel Berti is a charming hotel located right beside the San Pietro gate--placing you in a perfect location to explore all of Assisi's old town charms. The breakfast buffet each morning is hearty, and made wonderful by the attentive staff and beautiful front patio location. The room was comfortable, with a beautiful view of the valley and St Mary of the Angels. Additionally, the hotel staff was superb in its service as they responded quickly to our needs--like when the AC unit went on the fritz, but they had a repair man there first thing in the morning.

Our room overlooked a very busy traffic plaza with several patio restaurants that remained open until midnight, so several nights there was a lot of noise--despite the closed windows. Also, the water temperature did not remain constant--it vacillated from warmer to cooler and back again repeatedly while taking a shower.

Whenever I am in Assisi, Hotel Berti is my choice. The location is perfect, across the street from the bus stop (but hidden, making it very charming), Also St, Francis Basilica is extremely close by and also it is across the street from the Abbey. The staff was very accommodating and friendly...and Syria makes a great cappuccino!!!

Needs more hooks in bathroom (like all hotels in Italy).

The feeling I am entering a family house. Very warm and welcoming. The staff was very helpful, the breakfast was nice, the room was very comfortable for my needs, and located very well next to the Basilica and close to the bus stop.

Overall I really liked the place. Perhaps one thing that was a pity was the fact the the room was facing a street lamp so I had to have the blinders closed most of the time.

Typical Italian hotel. Extremely close to the main busstop and 5 minutes walk from the Basilica. Breakfast is very good and people are very friendly.

I requested and got a room with view. Though this is not the beautiful valley view that you can get in some parts of Assisi. I don't think there is a room with that view,
