This is a lovely hotel. We spent Christmas there and had an amazing lunch in the restaurant downstairs. The room was very comfortable and had a view that took my breath away. Every afternoon we rushed back to watch the sunset. Amazing! The staff were very friendly and helpful. A wonderful place to stay. Already planning to return!

The breakfast was a bit underdone and not very well organised. There were a lot of cakes but never enough breakfast cereal. Who eats cake for breakfast? The coffee machine didn't work so we had to go out for coffee after breakfast. That said, the breakfast room itself was pleasant and the staff were very friendly.

The staff was exceptional. We were met at the door and assured with parking (right outside the door) and luggage. The views were absolutely outstanding and made for a refreshing and relaxing stay! Not one but two restaurants are on the property - one is quicker service but very good; at the bottom level is a Michelin starred restaurant providing a dining experience that we are still talking about! We would choose this hotel again for a future stay!

The only negative was visible mold on the ceiling of the bathroom and the top of the bathroom’s window alcove. My wife is super-sensitive to mold and this was a bit of a problem.

This was my third stay at this wonderful hotel. The first stay was 16 years ago and I requested a room looking out to the countryside of vineyards and olive trees, and our room was beautiful. Thank you again for reserving our rooms with 180 degree views as they were perfect. Fabulous staff. As we had two small babies, a 1 and 2 year old we needed warm milk in the morning and at night. The staff happily provided us with milk for the children for which we were so grateful. The breakfast area and extensive choices of food were magnificent. The view from the breakfast room was spectacular. The hotel allowed us to drive up to the front door and unload our luggage which was very helpful. This hotel has the Best location to visit the cathedral and shop.

There is nothing I can think of to improve on.

The staff was very kind and helpful, the receptionist, the bar tender and the service at the breakfast. The room facing the valley was adorable, the room very comfy and well organized. The bathroom was large and with a beautiful shower

The breakfast .. it was like entering another hotel, it was cold, old and cheap furniture and not at the level of a 4 stars hotel and not in line with the rest of the hotel. I found the choices quite limited, the scrambled eggs were not cooked enough, the ham slices were floating on a bed of fat, so do the beans. The breakfast was the only thing disappointing in our stay.

The location is great. The hotel has an excellent view. The staff were amazing, kind and very helpful. The moment I got in the room, I realized that it was not clean. I immediately informed the reception however came back hours later to see the room almost untouched, unfortunately. But thankfully, the lady in the reception was very helpful -she even tried to get things in order by herself even though that’s not her job - eventually, she managed to get one of the cleaning ladies to get the job done so many thanks again, even though I stayed only for one night.

Go for double/larger rooms if it’s not a one-night stay. It could be because mine was a single room, the bathroom was so small and uncomfortable - you’re practically taking a shower in a small cabinet.

I had a lovely stay in this traditional Italian hotel, which has absolutely no frills other than wonderfully welcoming staff, and a better-than-usual delicious gluten and dairy free breakfast (requested in advance). I booked for just one person but I still had a lovely big double bed. The shower was super modern and very large, and overall the bathroom super clean and very nice to use. Apart from that, the room was really very basic (eg no kettle etc), but it was what I was expecting after the reviews, and at the price I paid. The room was just set back from a stairwell and noise did travel but I am a very sensitive sleeper and nothing disturbed me during the night. The position is perfect for going to the cathedral and for exploring the centre of Assisi in general. The parking just outside the hotel was easy to find and a huge bonus.

Location just fabulous. Staff very friendly and helpful. Dinner in main restaurant superb with the most amazing views. Breakfast only average and we had it in a downstairs room with no view, perhaps they could change it so you ate at the restaurant with the view.

Breakfast was underwhelming and often they ran out of food. No view where we ate breakfast, yet there are stunning views upstairs in restaurant which breakfast could of been held there.

Perfect location in the middle of town to see everything in Assisi.Staff were excellent. Had room on top floor with wonderful views over Umbria. Also rang previous day to book a place in the car parking area next to hotel which was great. Had an excellent 3 course tasting menu for supper. Quite expensive but worth it. Beautifully presented and served. Very comfortable bed and good sized room and bathroom.

Television in room was very poor. No international channels, small screen and no way of ‘casting’ from iPad onto screen.

We had the most beautiful view from our room! The room was spacious, and very comfortable. The bathroom had a nice big shower and good water pressure. I would stay again but not in the hot weather. The restaurant on the property is outstanding for dinner. Definitely eat there!

The air conditioning is shut off when the room reaches your desired temp. The front desk told me they are instructed to do this. So you would go to sleep and wake up stifling hot. Breakfast was mediocre. Strangest scrambled eggs and lousy coffee from a machine. The staff however was accommodating and made us fresh coffees. The elevator is super slow btw.

The perfect location for exploring Assisi. The hotel staff on arrival where super helpful and friendly, offering advice on how to explore the town and top sites to see. The room itself was nice, perhaps a little basic/dated compared to other places we've stayed. But the view from our room was amazing! The hotel also very kindly looked after our bags on the day we checked out, so that we could continuing exploring before heading to our next destination and helped book us taxis.

We didn't eat in the hotel restaurant/bar because it seemed very expensive and that style of fancy food wasn't what we were after, but it obviously had lots of good reviews. For the price I'd have expected a slightly more up to date room. Although very clean and tidy it was fairly basic, could do with a little bit more love/care put into the decor.
