Always used Bergamo as a transit point and never taken the time to stay. On this trip decided to spend my last night here. Great way to end my trip. Bergamo is very underrated and overlooked by many brits. The hostel was not a party hostel but a good mix of old and young and real travellers. Families also catered for. Slap bang in the right part of Bergamo close to shops, culture, theatre and short walk to the funicular which elevates you to the old town above. Well priced bistro onsite for daytime meals. Many restaurants a stone throw away including Trattoria di Arlecchino. Excellent price for set menu and benne vino and staff

For a traveller who are backpacking everything was there other than full kitchen facilities. There was a microwave and some communal areas where you could eat with others The onsite bistro is priced for travellers so you don't need to look far With such a range of food options available on doorstep for everyone's budget this was a minor issue

It’s my second time as a guest in Central Hostel. Great place with always friendly staff. Super convenient location a few steps from the pedestrian area in new Bergamo where you can find plenty of shops and restaurants. It is also just a few minutes from the bus stop to the airport. The room was tiny but good for short stay. The beds were comfortable and we had a good sleep. Wonderful coffee in the morning from the vending machine. Internet was also with very good speed.

In the bathroom smelled a bit of cigarette this time. I guess someone was smoking in the room above. Poor hot water pressure at night but you could take a shower at all.

I was traveling to Bergamo from another city on a day when the Italian railways went on strike. There was a risk that my train could be canceled and wouldn't able to reach the hotel. It was urgent to come up with a plan B in case that happened. So I sent a message to the hotel. They responded very quickly. Besides, I wasn't expecting to find streaming platforms on the TV. After exploring Bergamo under the never-ending rain and having to return to the hotel out of necessity, it was great to find something to watch in the room.

Great location, close to the train station and the city centre. Very helpful staff - our plane was delayed so I was worried about missing the midnight check-in deadline, but they offered to stay on for a while if we were late. The room was clean and comfortable and had air-conditioning, which was lucky as it was 34 degrees at midnight that night. There is an enclosed, shared terrace with tables and chairs that you can sit in. It was surprisingly quiet for a hostel and completely silent during the night. There are also reasonably priced vending machines for water/snacks. Excellent value on the whole.

The rooms were clean and comfortable and had good amenities. Very good value for money. Close to train station and short walk into the city centre and the Old town. Staff were excellent, the young lady on reception was extremely welcoming and helpful and arrnaged out airport transfers in the early morning for us which we are very grateful for. Would 100% recommend this place.

There was a bit of a humming sound but didn't really affect my sleep.

Very well placed hotel, perfect stay if you need to get to the airport early in the morning, being 5 min away from the bus station. Also the area was very quiet so overall a pleasant stay.

The phone charger was not staying properly in some of the power sockets and kept disconnecting. But there were also good working power sockets so in the end it was not a big problem.

Absolutely great ladies at reception -helped us with everything we need ! Also location is very close to the train station and 15 min walk to the old town.

There was some smell of chemical cleaning in the room - very strong once you enter from the street , it helped when we open the window . But exactly at 7 am there start noise from the near by house - they are construction it . So we can not sleep longer .

I don’t ever normally give reviews of places I’ve stayed. However, Central Hostel BG was amazing. From the extremely friendly and informative staff on reception to the excellent condition - and price - of the room, I have no negative feedback. Location, facilities and affordability all fantastic.

Honestly, I cannot be negative about a single thing on our stay.

We checked in around half an hour before midnight and the person at the reception had even sent us a message to remind us about midnight being the last time for check-in. She was hospitable, and so was the entire place. All facilities as described, it was a comfortable stay at a reasonable price.

The stuff was the best: both receptionists were a blessing. They solved all our doubts and provided us with more interesting info and pamphlets. Even though the facilities are not modern, they are comfortable and accessible if you use wheelchair. VERY value for money. It is 8min far from the train station and 15minutes from the funicular. What else can you ask for? Totally cheap and cheerful
