Stay in Stop&Sleep Bergamo was great from the beginning till the end. Our host Marco set up an in-person check-in where he explained how everything works and showed us our room and the common bathrooms. He was extremly nice and also gave us tips on where and how to go to citta alta and the airport. Both were very clean and in impeccable state, same goes for the kitchen. Self-served breakfast was a new concept to me but it worked well, the kitchen was well-stocked and what I appeciate a lot there were mokas to make real coffee. The location is great, and last but not least we were allowed to leave our luggage in the common space before our flight. Although we stayed only a day I can whole-heartedly reccomend staying there.

The only downside was the lack of AC - the ceilling fan didn't do much in summer heat (and was quite loud when on higher setting).

It’s a large apartment with a kitchen and two very nice shared bathrooms. Since there are only three other rooms, it feels quite natural and private. I really liked having access to a kitchen with snacks and breakfast available anytime. The atmosphere was calm, safe, and cozy. The apartment itself is in a very central location, in a historical building. It’s great to be able to travel and feel at home at the same time. The room was huge, with not only beds but also a sofa, perfect for relaxing or working!

We left early, so it didn’t bother us, but I think it’s important to note that checkout is at 10:30. The apartment is very central, so it can be quite noisy outside at night. However, that’s to be expected if you want to stay in the city center.

We really liked the old building and its location. Everything was clean, the bed was comfortable, the host Marco was very kind and helped us with the late check-in after midnight.

Although the building looks nice, it was a bit difficult to rest due to the noise (the cars outside, but also inside the apartment you can hear everything, especially the squeaky doors). Also there is no AC, just a ceiling fan. But you would expect these downsides while staying at this kind of property.

The building is old and the doors and windows inside are wooden - everything is old fashion and creates a great feeling. There was a little bit of wind from the window, because... it didn't close correctly earlier (not a simple old fashioned closing mechanism) but I fixed that. The room was large and spacious, but it would have been great to have a small table. 2 spacious bathrooms, excellent self-service breakfast, excellent internet, very clean apartments. Marco the owner is very helpful and kind, he explained everything and gave a guide map to the city. The location is great, everything is quite close to the apartments. Thank you!

the room was heated (what does NOT happen in all Italy's accommodation!) The communication with the owner was very good, He opened the front doors remotely, than tok the (free!) elevator to 3rd floor. The room was clean, heated, of course the sheets were new ! We stayed 2 nights, an the day between, the room was cleaned up! thank you! The Breakfast was typical Italian breakfast :tee/coffee , yogurt (fruity or not), some croissant, and flakes/ access to cooking machine and fridge.

the payment is made on location (cash or card), so if you arrive late (the room opens, all access guaranteed, but) you have to meet somehow the landlord, which can be a little tricky, if you have plans for early next day ...

The location is excellent. Marco is a wonderful host, helpful and kind, waited for us almost until midnight, showed us and explained everything, remained available. The room is cleaned every day. The apartment has a nice vintage style. Overall, a very nice place to stay to explore Bergamo, which surprised us by how interesting and beautiful it is.

If we got it right, according to the Italian law you cannot increase heating above certain temperature or keep heating on for the entire day. And since the apartment is vintage, the windows are likewise authentic so they are a bit older, which means that the insulation is not the best. If you travel during colder weather, you may expect a colder room during the night. But hosts have provided a plenty of blankets to keep you warm, so that solves the problem.

The location was very convenient, as it was located near the train station in Bergamo. It made it easy to get around the area and explore the nearby attractions. The room itself was clean and comfortable, and the environment was warm and cozy during the winter months, which was a great relief. The owner, Marco, was very friendly and welcoming, and he was always ready to offer helpful suggestions and advice to make my stay even better. The wifi connection was good and reliable, important for work.

Guests were not allowed to use the kitchen for cooking personal meals. Not a problem for a short stay, as there were plenty of nearby cafes and restaurants to explore.

The place is very well located, ideal for a short stay in Bergamo. Easy access to bus and train. Marco was very kind and helpful. He waited for us even though our flight arrived a bit late and was always attentive to the phone! The room and common areas were clean and well equipped :)

Great host, great place to stay as 5 min walk from Train station & in the city center close to shops & resturants, Bergamo is one of my favorite places in Italy, we vistited Milan xmas market but Bergamo decorations & market stalls were way better ! Gorgeous at Christmas time 😃

Marco was lovely and gave recommendations so to maximize my stay in Bergamo. Also facilitated my late arrival and constantly there to support with information and made it clear he was a phone call away. Great service and wonderful stay.

The rooms can benefit from more hanging facilities like for towels and coats.
