Pool was lovely, room was spacious and well serviced. Staff were also very helpful and lovely. Breakfast was great. But they are VERY punctual at stopping service......do not expect to be able to refill your coffee even a second after 10am.

Location is inconvenient if you want to get into Bologna. I did not appreciate the lack of drinking water available unless you want to buy it. I also did not appreciate the 'cover' price per person in the restaurant......this doesn't even get you water to drink or bread to eat just the pleasure of sitting down at the table....in a hotel you are already paying to stay in. Not ok. 4 Euros per person!

The hotel is very big and nice, clean and positioned in a quiet area. Even the road is basically passing near the hotel, the rooms are really quiet. Clean and with comfortable beds and pillows. The cleaning personal is passing every day and they change the towels daily. The pool is very nice and clean also. The food very tasty (we had 2 days breakfast and dinner at the hotel's restaurant). Prices are fair and the food is tasty with big enough portions. If you want to arrive in the city centre, the are cabs that are not very expensive (15 euros a ride for 4 people). We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. We recommend 👌!

Everything about this hotel was amazing! The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and spacious, the food was amazing. I had a lactose intolerant so I often struggle with breakfast at hotels but what surprised me was that they had allergens written next to each dish so it was very easy for me. The pool area isn't too busy so it's amazing to enjoy the pool without too many people. We would recommend to get taxi through the hotel reception any time you want to go somewhere because it was cheaper and very fast. The hotel was about 15mins by car from the centre.

Breakfast area is super nice with the view to the nice pool. Everything is clean and comfortable. Good variety for the brealfast. Bedd are comfortable. Big bathroom with both, a tub and shower.

I just did not like the connection to the city center. There is a bus but you need to walk around 10 minutes+, and it is not easy to find the way due to constructions in the area. To go back the bus service stops at 8:00 during week days and esrlier during the weekend. The only way to go back after 8 is a taxi which costs 12 euros. The distance is not far but it is not for pedastrians. We left our car at the hotel's parking space because it is tricky to find a parking spot in the center. The location was great when we left because it is right at the highway.

The Perfect Place to Stay in Bologna! Hotel Sydney is an ideal choice for anyone visiting Bologna, especially if you're traveling by car. The hotel is modern, exceptionally clean, and beautifully designed. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of tasty food and drinks to choose from. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist. One of the big advantages is the free parking right in front of the hotel – there was always enough space, and the city center is just a few minutes away by car. Bologna is a beautiful city full of culture, history, and great food – we highly recommend visiting, and when you do, make sure to stay at Hotel Sydney. Highly recommended!

The rooms are a great size. Beautiful swimming pool. The free parking for our hire car was a bonus. Great location and very well priced as we used the hotel as a base and did day trips to Modena, Maranello. Restaurant served a delicious well priced dinner

This is not the hotel's fault but it was tricky to get a taxi back to the hotel from the centre of Bologna as The Sydney Hotel is not in the City Centre. BUT we managed to get an overpriced Uber in 3 minutes! So if you are planning day trips into the centre of Boligna expect to pay EU60 per round trip.

A good location for travelers. Generally, the rooms and bathroom were clean.The hotel stuff is very helpful and know English. The check-in and check-out procedure was smooth. The breakfast was great (almost amassing) and with a lot of sitting space. The noise from highway near to the hotel was not noticeable with closed windows. (great windows!!! )

It seems that they are not equip for dealing with families: children beds are sofa-beds or portable bed, that are not very conformable. So the rooms are small for families. It would be nice to have a working air condition independently of the season of the year, as the room temperature in May can be as high as 30C.

The facilities (pool, restaurants, bar, room) were all a good standard. The location is good, not central though, taxi averages at €15 to central Bologna (€30 round trip). The staff were super friendly and helpful.

The room keys kept breaking, we had to go to the desk at least once a day (the worst day was 4 times) to get the key working again. We weren't the only ones, there was always someone at the desk sorting their key card out. If it's a consistent problem should probably change the system.

The reception recommended us to go to the center by car or taxi. it turned out that public transport is 1.5 euros per person and it is 20 minutes away from the center. A taxi costs 15-25 euros, and if you come to the city by car, you have to pay for parking, which costs a lot (2-3 euros per hour, which is unprofitable for the whole day). Also, they were not helpful when asking about the possibility of food.

Pool facilities, vast breakfast, cleanliness, helpful staff and set in a quiet area. Also a restaurant in the hotel where they serve both lunch and dinner.

The hotel is not in the centre of Bologna. To me it was good because it was a stop over but if you want to explore Bologna centre it would be possible to do it by getting a taxi or renting a car (however this was known before in previous reviews and also looking at the map). The bus was difficult to get because currently they're doing road work.
