Giuseppe was very responsive and very nice. He went out if his way to catter to our needs and make recommendations for restaurants, ect. Cold bottles of water were provided to us which was appreciated as it was extremely hot. The apartment was relatively close the the city square making it easy to walk to places. The building itself is beautiful. It is a very old building that still maintains its charm with original designer moulding reminiscent of old times. It is seems the building/home once belonged to someone of wealth. The included morning breakfast was great. Nice fresh Croissants with hot milk for the kids and caffe late for the adults.

The neighborhood seemed a little rough. The surrounding area was not clean and looked shady. I felt uneasy walking out of the neighborhood, however a couple of blocks away, the surroundings changed and we felt at ease. The room and the bathroom need a clean up renovation. Visible mold on bedroom walls and bathroom shower stall. A fresh coat of paint and a deep clean of the bathroom or a new shower stall would be sufficient.

Giuseppe did everything he possibly could to make our stay memorable and enjoyable. He brought us fresh croissants each morning, coffee, juice, and even some cannolis the night before we left, which was a nice touch. He gave us great advice about the city and neighborhood, which helped us out a lot. The apartment had plenty of room for all five of us and was an incredible value. Located ten minutes walk from both the bus and train station, it was perfect for exploring Sicily. Also, central Catania was a lot of fun to explore in its own right and had plenty of fantastic restaurants which made for a lot of fun.

No complaints. This place was perfect.

We spend two nights in total at his place on our arrival and departure from Catania. Giuseppe was a perfect host, kind nd very helpful. He was very quick to respond and allowed us to drop our luggage before the check-in. On our arrival he awaited us and explained everything. The property is located in very good spot it's less than 10 minutes away from both bus and railway station and city center so if you don't want to spend too much time in Catania, or have an early train to catch it will definetely suit you. Apart from that, there is a special place for delicious breakfast that each morning Giuseppe brings along with hot coffee straight to your room :).

The owner, Mr Giuseppe, is very nice. He offers a small breakfast (coffee and croissant) every day, you can choose your flavour and the hour of the breakfast. The place is not exactly new but everything is clean, Casa Giuseppe is a very calm place with nobody shouting in the corridors and no noise from the outside. The best thing about this is the location - it is very near to the center and to the railway and bus stations.

Great communication with the host - we had no problem with late check-in (airplane landed at midnight) who also provided us with water and asked when we would like to have breakfast (typical Italian breakfast, fresh cornetto from a bakery and coffee). Location is great - 10 mins walking to the central station, all the main sights in a walkable distance. Room had shutters and was very quiet during the night, AC for heating worked properly.

No major issues.

The proprietor is super helpful, particularly for a non-Italian speaker like myself. He made sure I had a 4:45 am taxi waiting at the door top get me to the airport. It is an old school small hotel in a classic old building. It is clean and nice. The air conditioning is excellent. For the price it is unbeatable, especially if you like to travel outside the standard "tourist industry." You don't get a private bathroom, so it's kind of like a hostel in that regard, but the facilities were very nice.

Spacious, clean room, equipped with air conditioning and a small balcony. Private bathroom outside the room. Close to public transport, the station and the center (Duomo, Via Etnea). Giuseppe is very nice and very helpful. He provided us with many valuable tips on sightseeing, communication and places to eat. Delicious breakfasts - a croissant and a hot drink delivered to your room! We recommend - very good and inexpensive accommodation in the center of Catania.

The reviews were aligned to our experience. High ceiling with a large room with air conditioning. Value for money. The pistachio croissant and coffee for breakfast was a treat. Close distance from the Bellini theatre and Duomo. What makes the place genuine as a pleasant Pension/ B&B is Giuseppe, his generosity and warmth is infectious. Visit the fruit stall around the corner for delicious Peaches and nectarines

No bathroom/ ensuite- but rooms are considerable cheaper TV had a number of blotches, but we didn’t travel so far to watch tv in our room. Some areas were not so pleasant so take the advice from Guiseppe as to the safe areas.

We loved everything! The room was absolutely clean and tidy. Giuseppe is absolutely great person! He greeted us, gave valuable advice about what to visit. We asked him where we can taste the local wine and he brought us a bottle of wine as a gift, it was so sweet! He keeps everything super clean in casa, very kind person who hosted us amazingly. He always asked what kind of croissants we want for breakfast, they were always freshly baked and super tasty. The day of our departure he accompanied us to the nearest bus station to the airport and gave us a pack of local sweets to bring to our family as a gift. He made our trip even better!

There is no a key box so you need to talk with the owner in order to get the keys which gives you less flexibility with check in time, like in my situation. The street where the accommodation is seems safe but some other around seems not so better ask Giuseppe for the best way to city center than using GMaps.
