The staff are great including the ladies on reception as well as Giacomo and Antonio. The breakfast is superb with everything you could ask for.The location is excellent but visitors should not be put off by the rather run down area to the right of the entrance. It is not worrying at all either during the day or evening - it is just a bit of a contrast to what you might be used to if you have stayed previously in the north of Italy.Via Etnea is a 5 minute walk away, station 10 minutes and Corso Sicilia just across the way ( with a superb Italian supermarket next to Lidl). Same goes for Metro stop - Stesorico.Incidentally Catania is great - lots of good places to eat, beautiful public gardens, nice shopping, friendly people and slower pace of life than eg Rome. That is before you factor in the proximity of Syracuse - a gem - and Taormina - commercialised yes but also fun. ps Aircon/heating in hotel excellent

Not much at all but the bedrooms should at this level of cost have at least a kettle and a few cups/mugs to make a cup of tea or coffee - every other 4* hotel we have stayed at has provided this facility although to be fair we were told this before we came . The bedrooms are also very minimalist/ almost Scandinavian which is matter of taste and a contrast to typical dark wood and heavy drapes of many Italian hotels.

Very helpful and friendly staff. The room was good, with most things we needed and comfortable. And we had a small terrace which was nice. The breakfast was mostly very good, with real muesli which is not often found in hotels!

Just a few things that could have been better: - more electricity sockets in the room - ability to open the window (it was too high up) - the shower had no door so some water escaped onto the bathroom floor, though the staff changed the mat regularly so it was not too bad a situation - better quality fruit juice for breakfast, though the rest of the breakfast was very good

The staff where very welcoming and helped with recommendations of what to see. Very helpful with advice about onward travel. Prepared a lovely light lunch at the bar / restaurant area on my day of departure when I was short of time awaiting a taxi. Great breakfast with a wide range of everything and I was made pancakes on request. Very friendly and relaxed.

It is near metro and bus stops from airport shuttle. It might be helpful to have map on website highlighting the best route to the hotel. This is a small thing, I had such a warm welcome on arrival that the usual disorientation in a new city was overcome quickly. Whilst staying the staff team were amazingly helpful with directions. The hotel city map was particularly useful.

March 2024

We had a large airy room, with a high ceiling adorned with decorative plaster work. Ample space, but sadly only one chair where there was space for two.Hotel quiet overall. Reception staff friendly and helpful. An easy walk to central streets for shopping , sightseeing and restaurants.

Two negatives about the room. Be warned that (in our case) 3 out of the 4 available electrical sockets were at floor level under a long writing desk; to access them ,kneel or squat and then realise that you need a torch because you’re in your own light….. The towels, whilst clean and replaced promptly, were showing signs of wear and age, and reminded me of visiting elderly relatives intent on exercising financial restraint.

The breakfast was excellent as well as the bar service. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The building was interesting and room was just fine. There were plenty of suitable restaurants in the next street within easy reach.

Not much - the hotel was very satisfactory. The neighbourhood seemed a bit "rough" including graffiti all over the building opposite, although we got used to it, but this is not the fault of the hotel!

The staff there was incredibly nice to me and my partner! Especially Giacomo (reception) and Antonio (restaurant/bar). They always made conversation with us whenever they saw us. Also, they gave us good recommendations about the city of Catania and places to visit (e.g. restaurants, beaches, places to visit). My partner and I had a wonderful time! Completely relaxed and enjoyed our vacation in Catania, Sicily!

Great location and lovely personell in the reception. Breakfast was super good and lots of options to choose from. Room was clean

The short guy with the glasses in the breakfast, he was not nice and rude, on our first day at 1030 as i was still chewing ,he came very dramatically and said: breakfast is over you need to leave. - like that ,no sorry or just letting us stay till we finish while stop serving, really wired and unpleasant person,

The great staff made the stay so much more enjoyable. The gentleman at the front desk gave us a lot of tips about sightseeing and helped with a trip to Mount Etna. We used the bar a lot too - many thanks to Antonio who was very friendly and made the happy hour so worthwhile. We also liked the location as it was close to the metro station, lots of restaurants and the sites we wanted to visit.

Parts of the hotel would benefit from some renovations.

The location is minutes walk from the historic area of Catania and Stesicoro station on the metro. At the same time it is less than 15 mins walk from the main railway station. My room was very quiet and it was cleaned every day. Breakfast was extensive with cereal, fresh fruit, various breads, meat and pastries. I never left hungry ! The staff were friendly and helpful when I wanted information about the town.

The hotel Wifi signal kept falling off.

Wow, incredible - Giacomo was wonderfully helpful and welcoming at reception, giving us lots of great and tailored tips for our trip around Sicily. His smooth Sicilian charm buttered us up like freshly baked baps! An unforgettable terrace experience thanks to the unparalleled service from Antonio - offering the worlds best aperol spritzes accompanied by a smorgasbord of delectable treats. I still have dreams about that mozzarella!!

Decor was a bit quirky, wifi was a struggle in some rooms.
