We read a lot of reviews where people said it was very noisy there so we were worried about it but it was very quiet and there was no music to be heard at all, so it either depends on your room or cause the stripclub near was closed (it's been closed the whole week that we were there so I'm not sure if it's working at all). The location is excellent. We were travelling without a car and the location was perfect for us. Everything was near - Via Etnea 3 minutes away, plenty of restaurants, cafes and shops, the bus stop of the bus D that'll bring you to the beach is 10-15 mins walking distance. The staff is nice and helpful. Interior is superb, ceilings and furniture are beautiful and the balconies on the floor are very nice and cozy.

The bed could be more comfortable, the balcony in our room was not cleaned for a long time, it was dusty. No elevator (was not a problem for us but it's not suitable for disabled people)

Our stay was in the Deluxe Double Room, on the second floor. The room was spacious, high-ceilinged, and had an en suite bathroom and a small balcony. We did not experience any of the issues mentioned in the negative reviews on here. If there was any noise, it was no more than the general hustle and bustle of Central Catania at nighttime; it's a lively city! The staff were very accommodating about out late check-in also.

The main door to the 2nd floor slams a little loudly, but this is true of every heavy door in Sicily.

In a great location. Beautiful old heritage building which would have been very grand in its heyday. Staff were very helpful and carried our bags up the two flights of stairs for us and down again on departure. Also got us a jug and tea bags so we could make a cup of tea in our room. Would stay there again if in Catania. Just don’t expect 5 star but you are not paying 5 star prices.

The pillow needed replacing but that wasn’t a big issue

The Valentino is probably the most central hotel in Catania. It's within 10 minutes' walk of all the major attractions in town. It's in the middle of a part of the city with lots of bars and restaurants. The whole area is very safe and the hotel is, too. The ladies at reception were very helpful and kind with maps on hand. The hotel is within an old palazzo so the rooms are very spacious with high ceilings and old style bathrooms (that work!). Sheets and towels were clean and there was plenty of room for my luggage and kit. Really enjoyed my stay and would definitely return. Definitely great value for money.

Could have stayed a bit longer, as, as a base, the Valentino is just perfect...

Excellent hotel and very freindly manager. He offered me a cup of coffee because I said that I was very tired after flight. He explained all sights of Catania. Room is nice, very authentic. Great experience!

No fault of their own. Next to a building site / renovation works. When that is finished it will be a nice open area in front of the hotel

I like everything here! Location is exactly comfortable. The style is very nice. Like in elegant past. The receptionist is very polite and pleasant. Easy to go to airport and to train station. Lots of restaurants near this hotel.

The hotel is very central, in walking distance you get to the main attractions as well as to restaurants and bars. The personal speaks English very well, are super polite and always happy to help. The hotel is in an old building, rooms are beautiful and clean.

Booking announcement advertises with a welcome drink and free breakfast, however both is not served.

The hotel is old.Location was good,room was clean but the furniture was old.The staff was nice,they let us earlier into the room.
