Thoroughly enjoyed our 7 night stay here at the Etnea Boutique Hotel. The staff are amazing, so kind and so helpful. The breakfast room is full of tasty delights plus an option of freshly cooked breakfast items. The food is delicious and the breakfast room is gorgeous! Spotless and spacious rooms. Love the high ceilings in this former palace. The street noise did require the use of ear plugs much like any hotels located in a noisy city. The location is excellent. Everything in walking distance. Felt very safe and cared for at this hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

I wasn't aware that the front door did not have a street location. The address is correct but it is large doors to get into the Courtyard of the building. You must press the buzzer on the side wall when you first arrive. Once inside, there is another locked door that you must announce yourself. Then, inside, go up a few stairs and take the elevator to Floor #2. Once you get your key, you can let yourself in. Many properties here are like this and it isn't a problem. I just didn't know ahead what the access was like. I've added a picture of the street door to help future guests.

Very central location to be precise in Via Etnea, close to all historical places, shopping area and market.Staff super helpful and friendly.Nice buffet breakfast. Very clean place.Will definitely re book this hotel and recommend it to those visiting Catania.

Excellent location, right on the city centre. Room was very clean, comfy bed. All the amenities you would expect. Very friendly staff. Lovely breakfast.

If you are not used to living in a city then it is noisy! Absolutely not the hotels fault, but something to be aware of!

The entrance needs to be renovated; it gives a very bad impression and detracts from the beauty of the hotel inside.

This was a wonderful hotel. Staff were very caring and attentive. Breakfast was a great spread including hot options made for you. A great central location!

Don't let the walk into the hotel turn you off. It is so much nicer inside! The room didn't have many outlets, so you may want an extension cord if you have a lot of devices to charge.

The location is AMAZING. It’s right on via etnea, with the main square and so many lovely restaurants nearby. The staff are also AMAZING, with complimentary Prosecco on arrival, attentive & quick responses via WhatsApp, endless teabag supplies, always smiling, being super helpful and showing us kindness. The facilities are super clean, fresh sheets and towels every day, lovely balcony. Room was very lovely and spacious. Smart TV and Aircon in the room is a plus, as with the complimentary daily water. The building is very secure and safe.

The only TINY downside is the street can be quite loud at night, but it does stop and it doesn’t prevent you from being able to sleep

We stayed at Etnea Boutique Hotel for a long weekend in Catania, and it turned out to be a great choice. The location is simply perfect: right in the historic center on Via Etnea, just a short walk from everything – Piazza Duomo, the fish market, restaurants, and public transport stops. The hotel is set in an elegant historic building, with high ceilings and preserved frescoes that add charm, while the rooms are modern, well-furnished, and above all, very clean. Our room was spacious, with a comfortable bed, newly renovated bathroom, and effective air conditioning (very welcome in the Sicilian heat!). Another highlight was definitely the staff: kind, helpful, and professional. They welcomed us warmly and gave us great recommendations for places to eat and things to see nearby. Breakfast was good, with several options even for people with dietary restrictions. It could perhaps include a few more local specialties, but overall it was more than satisfying

A small note: some rooms facing the main street can be a bit noisy in the evening, but nothing that affected the quality of our stay
