Loved the style of the property and the room. Bathroom was a good size with an excellent shower. Liked the extra touch of communal facilities that offered a good selection of teas and coffees along with muffins and biscuits. There was also a good selection of books and guides on Sicily available.

The location was great, right in the heart of Cantania however this did mean that there was some outside noise. If the shutters could fully close this may have helped to deaden this. We soon got used to it and it did not spoil our experience. Only other minor criticism is that there was not enough drawers - another set would prove very useful - especially for those staying more than a few days.

It is a typical B&B which means that the common places are shared with the guests of the other rooms. Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The private bathroom was new and clean. The location is very central, safe and convenient for exploring the city. Although we did not make any use of the shared area, it was well equipped having also a coffee machine. Breakfast is served in a café just under the palazzo (coffee/juice and one pastry). Check in / out was quick and easy.

Check out was early (10am). We asked to leave our luggage for some hours; however this was possible only until 13.00 that the cleaner would be on the apartment, which was not convenient for us since we had a late flight. So, we left them on a luggage storage store close to the apartment paying an hourly fee. Our room was fine for our short stay; however for more days facilities are limited inside the room (i.e. no chairs and table a the balcony, old and a bit dusty closet etc).

The location of this property is great - right in the middle of the Catania historic centre. Piazza Stesicoro is a bustling place, however the thick wals and the windows block any intrusive noise. The place itself is a worderful conversion of a charming century-and-a-half-old room with a modern bathroom. Francesca is a great host. Our flight was late in the evening so she made sure we had all the information to get in. Clear instructions with photos did help. One more thing - if you arrive by car, there is a very convenient, inexpensive parking lot a few minutes walk to the west - Parcheggio Sturzo AMTS.

We loved the location and how centrally located it was. Francesca was also very helpful in helping us get there and letting us know about the travel delays due to a fire at the airport. It made a very stressful situation much less stressful. The room was also very clean and the air conditioning was so nice in this summer heat!

The only negatives were the Wifi was not usable. It didn't work at all, we could only use our data plan. The other downside is that the breakfast is not served on site, you have coupons for a nearby cafe, which was great, but it's not clear what it includes. We only ordered two croissants, juice and coffee and had to pay 6€ because we ordered too much. So I don't think breakfast is really sufficient, however, it was still delicious and worth paying the 6€. Downsides and all, I still recommend this place. You can't beat the location for this price.

Francesca was very friendly and helped us with recommendations in the city. We booked for one night and then we booked another night. We really liked the ceiling. The breakfast ( croissant and capuccino) was at a cafe on via Etna, below the balcony ( in the second day) and we really liked

The noise from the street, in the night children making a lot of noise and early morning the garbage truck waked us every night around 5.00 - 5.30

Stylish, comfortable and clean apartment with street view. Communication with owner was very good. Large, modern bathroom with everything you need for a shorter stay. Included breakfast, which is served in the nearby cafe was very tasty. Local dishes were delightful and the atmosphere outside was perfect.

Apartment can be noisy at night and in the morning (cleaning of streets) as this is a city center, but this is something that comes along with the location.

The host was fabulous, waited for us to show us around and help settle in. Also gave recommendations what to see and where to dine, best restaurant and dinner we had on our trip, In. The place was very clean and had everything you need for a short stay. Filtered water was provided, shared kitchen with tea and coffee and also voucher for breakfast. Perfect location as it's central to all the main streets, shopping and restaurants. The building itself was so charming inside and very safe. The room was spacious with little balcony and bathroom lovely. Very clean and comfortable.

It was a bit loud outside so hubby struggled to sleep, there's a lot of hustlers right at the front of the building so can feel a little intimidating. There's no lift, so we had to carry the bags up few levels, but not the worst.

Location, location, location! My friend and I stayed for only one night as we had a tight schedule to follow and we loved it. The location is central. On the main shopping street, 3min walk away from the bus stop to the airport which made our life super easy. We also did a lot of shopping so we could always go back to leave the things. The place has a vintage feel to it with amazing details. We particularly enjoyed the balcony with a breathtaking view. The breakfast was provided in a cafe downstairs, and it was delicious. All in all, 10 out of 10, will recommend to everyone.

Centrally located.

Bizarre way to get in. There is no sign of a B&B. Just a huge iron door. I had to phone the owner to get in. There’s no staff there. It’s basically an apartment. Up 9 flights of stairs, as I was in my own initially this was pretty spooky going out in the dark. I was given 3 sets of keys to use. There was a little patio and a voucher for breakfast- croissant and coffee at a nice cafe nearby. If I’d have known all this beforehand I wouldn’t have booked it.

Beautiful apartment in historical building, our room was very spacious with big balcony facing the center- amazing view. Room very clean, nice and kind host, delicious breakfast in near cafe.
