I absolutely loved my stay at Palazzo Insula. The Palazzo is very beautiful and an absolute must stay for someone who loves antiques and historical buildings. It felt like I was staying in a museum! The building is even mentioned in my tourist guide from the UK. My room was beautifully decorated, spotless clean and it felt like I was staying in a luxury hotel. Breakfast on the gorgeous terrace overlooking the Cattedrale was priceless. And the breakfast itself was AMAZING. The best pasticiotti I ate during my entire 3 week stay in Puglia, warm and fresh every morning, I’m still craving these pasticiotti now. There were also lots of healthier breakfast options such as yoghurt, fruit, boiled eggs, different types of bread, cereal, anything you could ask for whether you like your breakfast sweet or savoury. The staff was so nice and helpful. I could not praise them enough. They helped me out with any question I had regarding day trips, public transport, etc. and even organised a free shuttle to the train station when I had to leave for my next destination. I highly recommend staying here and miss it so much already!

We fell in love with the whole place and our room was very spacious and beautiful even though it didn't have a window to the outside (it had one very high towards the ceiling). The bathroom was newly renovated and very clean, it was outside the room down the hall but we found the routine of waking up and walking around the place amusing. By chance we found the palazzo all to ourselves so we felt quite at home. The breakfast was quite good and filling. The terrace was very beautiful with lots of plants. I would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to anyone.

Location was perfect, right in the middle of the historic center, and four minutes from the beach in town. Host was very nice and attentive. The staff offered to clean my room, which I didn't need to. Room was a mix of austere and elegant with very high ceilings in an ancient building. Breakfast in the cafe downstairs was fine: I orderedcoffee, pastries, and fruit.

It could be nice to have a small table and chairs in the room, but the common area with tables and chairs is right outside the room. Wi-fi got interrupted at times.

A reminder of past luxury.. Authentic period furniture. Wonderful linens. Great breakfast. Lovely plant filled terraces.

Granted, I did have their cheapest room, but having no windows except for 2 small ones near top of very high ceiling was unnerving. DARK. Ancient doors and LOCKS made me uncomfortable: a small breeze might burst them open.

Chiara and everyone at the Palazzo are very friendly and welcoming. My room had a beautiful high ceiling and was a treat to stay in. Facilities are very good and the breakfast was very tasty. It is located in the middle of the historic centre and I would recommend it and stay there again

Everything was perfect! Great location in the heart of Gallipoli Lots of restaurants in that same street, but inside the hotel it was silent. I would definitely come back! Chiara and the staff were so nice to arrange my check in late at night. Grateful for that

We loved the fact it really does feel like a Palace.

The only thing (which we knew about in advance so can’t complain) was our bathroom wasn’t en-suite it was separate from the room although still private to us.

Beautiful palazzo! Great location in historic center. Lovely room..Chiara is so friendly and helpful .. Speaks excellent English.. I will definitely stay there again if I return to Gallipoli

Beautiful old palace in the heart of Gallipoli. The room was really spacious and quiet. Large terrace. Great breakfast with very good coffee. Would definitely come back

External bathroom is quite far - would be great to have a bathing suits in the room
