Hotel Don Felipe made our stay in Ischia absolutely perfect! Everywhere you look it has the most beautiful views - it’s definitely worth upgrading to a sea view room so that you can enjoy them from your own balcony. The staff are all so lovely and can’t do enough for you - shout out to Alessandro who was super attentive and friendly. The pool is small but clean and a lovely temperature, and we never struggled to get a sunbed. Breakfast was great, really fresh and there was something a little bit different each morning. We loved the location, about a 15 minute walk from Ischia Ponte which has plenty of restaurants and bars but is much more peaceful and chilled out than the main port area. We will definitely be returning to Don Felipe on our next visit to Ischia!

The location of the hotel is exceptional - with beautiful sea views over to Sorrento and Capri. The hotel is not modern but is very charming and spotlessly clean. Every one of the staff were friendly and helpful - the receptionists, manager and housekeepers all gave exceptional customer service. The pool area was lovely - it was very peaceful and although it was small it was never crowded. The rooftop bar is amazing for lunch or pre-dinner drinks. There was a short walk into the town through vineyards and lemon groves.

There was just one minor thing which is regarding the breakfast. The variety was fine - fruit, cereals, croissants, scrambled juices etc but the bread was not what we expected. It was small sliced bread out of a packet. We brought our own towards the end of the stay as did other guests. I don't really wish to make a negative comment about this hotel but if the bread at breakfast could be changed to fresh crusty loaves that would be a vast improvement.

Really friendly and helpful staff with very good English. Breakfast had the usual sweet treats Italians enjoy along with fruit, boiled eggs, ham, cheese, scrambled eggs and bacon. Rooms were cleaned daily and had everything we needed including a safe. lt has a lovely view of the castle from the terrace, a great place to enjoy a drink before going to the port to eat. Staff advised us on local bus routes and where to purchase tickets and were able to arrange shuttles from the ferry for the same cost as a taxi.

Ischia is hilly and the hotel is built over several levels with a lot of steps up to reception. The staff will assist with cases if needed. Pool is small and there is limited loungers nearby but it is enough to cool off on hot day and if people dont try to claim a bed space all day is usually ok. Overall a great hotel, would definitely return.

This was my second visit to this hotel but certainly not my last. The new owners at the hotel have understood the charm and the heart of this beautiful little gem and maintained the previous owners legacy. The views are outstanding, it is spotlessly clean but most importantly, all of the staff are exceptional and go out of their way to ensure you have the best experience possible. The new owners are very friendly and have made some improvements that enhanced my experience such as longer opening hours for food at the pool bar and more services offered at reception. This beautiful place has become more like a home from home for me and I cannot praise it highly enough.

The hotel and the premises are just beautiful. The rooms are designed very tasty (the drapes, the pattern of the tiles) and the view is amazing. The staff organized a few transports for us and everything went very smoothly. At some locations you get a discount (e.g. Giardino Eden) if you drop that you're staying in Hotel Don Felipe.

It's a bit of a walk to Ischia Ponte and an even longer walk to Ischia Porto where all the restaurants, bars and shops are. In the area of the hotel you'll find a few things but it's not very lively there. They do not have enough sun chairs close to the pool and not enough places in the shades/sun umbrellas. The AC in the rooms are not that strong. Most of the food at breakfast was always empty (Cornetto, Joghurt, scrambled eggs) and the staff was very slow in refilling them. Hotels around had a few parties and you could hear the sound of the music until the middle of the night due to the landscape.

The view was amazing and the hotel’s swimming pool well used in the heat wave. The friendliness of the staff especially Alessandro, was outstanding. The bus stop right in front of the hotel made moving around quite easy.

The views were breathtaking and it was gorgeous sitting out in the little courtyard outside our room. We loved the location, views of the Castello and a short stroll to ischia ponte where there are lots of great restaurants. The restaurant/bar on the roof of the hotel was also lovely and beautiful panoramic views, with capri in the distance. Staff were super helpful with taxis to neighbouring areas and down to the port. Breakfast good too. Would definitely stay here again.

It wasn’t the cleanest when we first arrived. We did flag the bathroom in particular with a bit of mould and they did a good job of trying to get rid of most of it. Just a slight downside of an older property.

Absolutely amazing view over the bay of Cartaromana and Aragonese castle. The amenities are quite good, even if little outdated. Clean room, kind personnel and excellent breakfast (continental style). The sunrise can be admired from the terrace!

Even if the public bus station (C13 for outgoing and C12 for incoming) is right in front of the hotel, the access is pretty difficult. Bus schedule is about one per hour, so you have to plan carefully incoming/outgoing hours, otherwise a taxi, a 20 minutes walk from the end of bus line 7 or more than an hour from Porto d’Ischia. No shops or grocery around. If this is not a problem for you, then this is an excellent location.

The views from the hotel, rooms, pool, and bistro are absolutely incredible. We loved ever second we were here. The pool and all amenities are well maintained. We shimmed multiple times. There's sun bathers near the pool as well. We also enjoyed some food and spritz at the bistro and the views were incredible. I want to go back here so bad, lol. Amazing place.

The rooms are a bit tired and need some updating, although everything was clean and well maintained. Also there's a 5eur charge for beach towels. Maybe fee for lost towels but think that should be included considering the facilities.

The hotel is located in a unique spot in a beautiful bay with an incredible view. The rooms are clean and well-organized. The staff is friendly and smiling, responsive and hospitable. Special thanks to Martina, Mano, and Alex, who made our stay even more enjoyable. Thank you also for the small cake that pleasantly surprised me on my birthday :) Many thanks to Feliciana as well, who provided us with a laptop so we could attend an online meeting during our stay. We wish you a successful season and many satisfied guests. We will definitely see each other again, and rest assured that I will recommend your hotel to friends and acquaintances
