Antonio, Andrea, Roberto and other staff are very friendly and spoke English well. The bed was super comfy and we like the idea of two twin beds put together to make a king. Breakfast was very decent which included excellent scrambled eggs and Italian pastries. My wife really loved the fresh Calabrese bread. Not exactly bruschetta but the cherry tomatoes on bread was very fresh. The roof top terrace offers a wonderful view of the Castello Aragonese (a short walk away.) Andrea and Antonio were excellent hosts on a half-day island boat tour. They are very knowledgeable about every part of the island as their father has been operating the hotel since decades ago. The on-site thermal pool brings in the hot spring waters daily was brownish due to the iron content of the water (not dirty) and is ~34C so is warm not hot. It's a good place to relax after a days activities and was not crowded at all during our early June stay.

Only very minor dislikes. No decent soap or body wash and no hair condition so we bought some. Breakfast bacon was a bit too over-done (crisp) for our tastes. The island tour by boat offered by the hotel was a bit expensive at €50pp which included a cheese & bread with salad lunch and unlimited wine from a jug. But unless you like jumping in the waters for swims much of the tour was spent for swimming and too little time spent docked in Sant'Angelo but the host gave us a lot of interesting bits of information and history about all the locations on the island.

Very welcoming family run hotel. Bigger older style room with balcony views over castle. Nice breakfast good coffee. Dinners were amazing. Local dishes changing every night. Boat trip organised by the son around the island with lunch and drinks great price and the best skipper. Good location to beaches and restaurants. A bus stop just left of property is easy if you require. Mineral pool great for relax at end of day. Brown in color but warm and changed everyday.

Everything was great

The staff were amazing! Very helpful and their people skills were outstanding. Even with me not having Italian they would make sure to answer questions. The location was great, You had a short walk to lots of choices in restaurants. The Hotel was close to bus transportation. Flat walking in most areas near the hotel The iconic Castle was so convenient to walk to.

Unfortunately the Wi Fi was not responding well. Think one can understand in an older building with thick walls , perhaps some areas did get better reception.

This felt like a home away from home. Everyone was super friendly from reception staff to the cleaners. Also gives you a real appreciation of the hard work that goes into running a family hotel!! The selection of wine was superb from a good bottle to the house wine (which is incredibly cheap!)The dinner was so tasty, varied every evening , good value for money and huge servings.

Mosquitoes but you get used to them..

Well located, close to the amazing castle and nearby the beach and nice restaurants. The building is not new but very well maintained, super clean and with all we needed. Breakfast really tasty and with a lot of choices. The thermal pool is also a gift after the exhausting day. The staff is one of the friendliest and nicest we ever had in a hotel, always with a smile on their face and willing to help. They also managed to rent a motorbike for us. I would 100% recommend it and go back if I ever visit ischia again.

Its a family run hotel where they are take a personal approach to their guests, noting what they like such as food choice. My room was overlooking the sea and the hills - beautiful view. Food was nutritious and my diet choices were also accommodated - which was a bonus. The brothers, who run the hotel, speak English and other languages - a rare thing on Ischia.

Zero - found everything to be excellent.

Hotel Europa is a lovely small hotel located on the main street .The staff was very helpfulness and friendly especially Antonio,Andrea and Sandro.We booked the room with a view of the castle .The room has big bathroom,comfy beds and a balcony.We used a swimming pool and relaxed on the terrace. We are very happy that We booked Hotel Europa for our holiday.

The staff members are very kind, which was important to me as a solo traveler. I really loved my private balcony and the fact that breakfast was included. The location is great because there are great attractions within walking distance in Ischia town (e.g. Spiaggia dei Pescatori, Castello Aragonese, and Corso Vittoria Colonna) and it’s also not far from the port and bus stops if you want to make day trips to other parts of the island. As for the service, Antonio went above and beyond and made sure I was always comfortable in the dining room. Roberto was great about offering directions and advice for exploring the island. The cleaning staff was amazing too - they began making my bed with an extra blanket when I told them I was cold. They mop and clean the rooms everyday so the rooms were very clean.

Only small complaints - I had to log in to the wifi repeatedly (probably every hour or so). I also didn’t love that the bedding is only a thin sheet, but it may have been this way because I visited in June. However one night I asked the front desk for a blanket and the cleaning staff noticed this and made my bed with an extra blanket every day - so the strong customer service solved this issue.

A gem of a find. Friendly family run hotel - even 10 year old son eager to please. Room - brand new, even electronic shutters to block out street lights, spacious room and bed, stylish, impeccably clean. Breakfast - good, dinner good value.Location - close to Castel and many restaurants. Places to relax on vine covered terrace, surrounded by greenery and blooming bougainvillea.Overall a delight to find, far better than expected for 3 stars.

Obviously there is a problem with rusty water in pool, a pity for the plants and flowers make this area a great sun trap.

The staff were extremely helpful. Even helping to get back a lost mobile phone. Know all the bus times. Room was clean and serviced every day. Breakfast was delicious. Prices in the bar were very reasonable.

Well not having a lift. But I knew that and it was only 2 small flights. I personally didn't like the look of thr mineral outdoor pool fed by a natural spring, but my friend loved swimming in it and left her skin very soft though stained by thr mineral content.
