All the people working at Villa Cecilia were super friendly and helpful, calling a taxi, giving us directions etc. Upon arrival I asked for a quiet room since I have trouble sleeping and they were quick to accomodate me with a beautiful room with a double bed and a high ceiling, no noise from outside or from other guests apart from those who were leaving early in the morning. It was also dark enough, perfect for a light sleeper like me. The Italian breakfast they offered (included in the price) was generous and tasty, their coffee superb, served at a beautiful veranda with flowers overlooking the quiet street. Their terrace offered a lovely view to the castle and the hills, yet another option for guests who like to have a panoramic view of Ischia while sipping their coffee. I asked for extra pillows and my sleep was even more comfortable. The hotel is a 20 minute walk from the port (also accessible by bus), another 20 from the Aragonese castle. Value for money, and I felt like home. Highly revommended, will visit again.

Everything was perfect.

It is a small familly owned hotel where you quickly get acquainted with all of the staff and they are very keen to make sure you have a good stay. The beach is 200 meters away and it is about as far to the restaurants and shops around Castelle Aragonese.

No AC in the rooms (but with the balcony door open and ceiling fan running the nights are cool enough). The pool is quite hot (33C) and can only be used with a swim cap (for good reasons since it is a geothermal pool - but it is not a large swimming pool for cooling down).

The nicest, most helpful staff that you can imagine, their tips were amazing! Room was clean and comfortable, eventhough it didn’t have AC, the fan was very useful. Breakfast was good, and enough (salami or ham, cheese, croissant, fruits, tomato), coffee included. The placement was great too, near a beach but also close to public transport if you want to go somewhere else.

Lack of AC, small shower and small fridge

This hotel gives the 'complete' holiday experience. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We were with our parents (80+) and the owners were very helpful in creating an experience we will not forget. The hotel is not high class and luxurous, but it has a nice atmosphere, where you feel at home. The hotel is very close to the Castello Aragonese, the most beautiful spot on the island.

The rooms don't have AC, so during afternoon and evening it gets rather warm inside. Luckily there are fans in the rooms. The towels could have been a bit less 'cheap', bit hard to use. The breakfast was simpel, as expected. Some ingredients were not complemented, but that is not a big problem. Suggestion: if you consider renting a car on the island, ask the staff, they have a list. We had allas a disappointing experience with one of the companies (which was not on that list).

Villa Cecilia is an amazing hotel very close to the "spiaggia dei Pescatori" and to the Ischia Porto center. The breakfast is very tasty, you can find a good variety of food. Kudos to the hotel staff, all employees are very kind, willing to help you and giving you suggestion on where to go and where to eat. Highly recommended!

The wifi connection was reliable. The staff was friendly. The location was simply wonderul for a short trek to the beach and several unassuming and delicious restaurants, the bus stop was nearly adjacent to the property for convenience. Outdoor dining area was sweet, and the rooftop terrace was delightful.

the room was tiny, but it didn't matter, as it was so delightful for access to the beach, public nature park and the outdoor life in general.

One of the loveliest things about Villa Cecilia is the charming family that runs it. They were all so friendly and so helpful. Raphael speaks very good English and was happy to reccomend all sorts of things to do. The kitchen was undergoing work during our stay, but that didn't stop the family bringing us gifts of cakes and savouries whilst enjoying their roof terrace, a surprise that was both appreciated and very touching.

A recommendation and not a dislike at all. But, perhaps to save poor Raphael from telling his guests over and over, would be a short list in the rooms of helpful things to know.

1-Very good stuff - like in 5 star hotel ( on breakfast im "open my mouth and eyes"- coz really barista made coffee - from nice beans and "a way preparation" - you can choose.) 2-Very clean bed sheats 3-Room so quiet and nice 4-Quality soap in bathroom 5-Nice position in the city - really 20 minutes from port by walk and 4 minutes from beach

Just 1 thing made me nerves - in room so much hot. Impossible to sleep in August. Fan - no help. Maybe, for some guests - have room with fan and 2-3 rooms - can be with air-conditioning ( for bigger price, of course).

Loved our stay here. The hotel is in a great location - around 15 minutes walk from the port (although buses cut this down) but it is ideally placed to fake it convenient for all the main parts of Ischia town itself - the castle, lots of restaurants, shopping, etc. Regular buses from 5 minutes away serve the rest of the islands and its attractions. The stag area lovely and really helpful. 24 hr access. The hotel is clean, with a great pool. The breakfast was lovely - plenty of fruit, pastries, cereals etc. And the bed really comfortable. Even had the odd avocado fall into our balcony!

Only complaint was the walls are a bit thin.

Had a lovely stay! The place is greatly located, the staff is lovely and we had everything we needed at Villa Cecilia.
