We enjoyed our stay in this old fashioned (in a good way) hotel. The thermal pool was fabulous, the gardens were lovely and it was an easy walk into either Ischia Porto or Ischia Ponte. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfasts were great.

The piped music round the pool was a bit annoying, especially as the location was so pretty and peaceful. And we would have liked tea & coffee making facilities in our room. The hotel beach, although free, is quite a long walk away, and was crowded the day we visited - we preferred the nearer beach Spiaggia dei Pescatori.

The location was excellent, plenty to see within easy walking distance. The hotel is set in a lovely natural park/ woodland district. We walked from the Hydrofoil port to the hotel, a nice gentle 15 minute walk. Ischia has a good bus service all over the island. The bus station is minutes from the ferry port at Ischia port, next to the yellow church. From the hotel head down to Ischia ponte and the impressive Costello Aragonese. You can spend hours walking around discovering the many terraces , gardens, ancient buildings with breathtaking views, with abundant shady areas to sit and admire it all. There is a coffee shop with an ideal terrace. At Ischia ponte there is a good selection of eating places, bars etc. Plenty of tasteful independent shops to browse. The hotel has a geothermal heated swimming pool, wonderful! And an abundantce of geo heated hot water ! The rooms were tasteful decorated, an excellent sized terrace with views over the gardens. The quality and variety of the meals were outstanding.

Rooms are well appointed with lovely balconies. Staff were amazing and helped everyday, especially when we left things in a room when we checked out. They went above and beyond to send the items onto our next hotel. Breakfast was full of choice.

Having to wear a cap swimming, no other hotel asked us to do that. Spa area was a little tired.

Everything, the staff is fabulos and doesn't cross the line of privacy. The Hotel is in the best location withing the main bars and road to go out at night and the beach with are only 15min away walking distance or 5min away if you take the bus...the weekly pus cost only 15€ worth it the ride if you go with your nann or elderest mum alternatively you could not go out the hotel if you like a 100% relaxation time with the facility like warm pool, Thermal bath warm and ice cold and Turkeish streaming room. All included in the price of the Room. The room are spaceful and the plus of Balconies to relax and dry your towels. Thank you very much to all the Staff!!

The hotel Is in a great location and has beautiful facilities. The staff was outstanding, they made us feel welcomed at every point and were always kind in accommodating our various needs and changes of plans.

The staff, the breakfast, the little garden and the gorgeous pool. Short walk to the town, port, and the castle area.

Was travelling alone….. Absolutely no wifi in the room, download movies before you go if you don't go out in the evening. The wifi not that great in reception area, keeps dropping out. I just embraced it because everything else made up for it.

Difficult or no wifi most of the time.actually just a few persons understood english ! Breakfast and dinner needs an upgrade,specially the coffee,uff.

This is our 2nd visit and we'll be going back next year. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble and the location is great. Great menu choice and no repeats in the 9 nights we were there. Had an early transfer for our return and breakfast was ready for us at 05.15. The transfer to the airport by taxi, boat and taxi is an experience in itself and sunrise was well worth the early start. The views are simply spectacular

Nothing, Hotel San Giovanni has everything we want in a hotel on Ischia
