The location of the hotel is in quite place between main locations with shops, restaurants, bars. It takes max 7 min from the hotel to the private sandy beaches. There are a few bars over there to have a bed and umbrella for rent, also to have snacks and coffee with seaview and wonderful panoramic view of the Aragonese Castle. Even in October the water in the sea was clean and warm enough to swim. The room in hotel is clean, and you will not miss your breakfast cause the housekeeping will knock to your door early morning to clean the room... the staff on the receiption is very freindly and helpfull. Amazing team in the restaurant on the breakfast, serving quick and with the professionalizm, taking a notes which table you prefer. As for breakfast itself you can find tasty home breakfast with fruits and various pastries. The hotel and room are in local style with sunny and bright colours. Good to have pools, one with warmed water, in the hidden by green plants area . If you'd like to have coffee and bruskete you could have it in the pool bar. Do not forget to have a swimming cup with you. But unfortunately there is no any place to dry swimwear in the room like balcony or smth. Finally I would say that I've enjoyed my stay in Ulisse hotel

The location of this hotel is fantastic. Near enough to the port for the buzz and social life and far away enough for a peaceful getaway, with amazing views and enough local facilities. Wonderful friendly staff. Very close to beach. Quiet and beautifully run. Feels more like a 4 star hotel. I would recommend this hotel and would be really happy to stay here again.

The only thing I would think needs a little improvement is the breakfast offering. We stayed for a week and the breakfast was identical every day. A little variety would help, and perhaps an increase in quality in some of the ingredients. However, it's was totally acceptable, just not very exciting.

Loved everything about this hotel. Staff were all kind and friendly. At check in they took time to find out what our plans were for our trip and then advised us where to catch buses we needed. I enjoyed breakfast and thought there was a good selection of different food groups . Room was nicely decorated and had air con, balcony , safe, fridge. Lovely terrace on 3rd floor with gorgeous views. Pools were lovely with a large unheated pool and a small heated pool. Snack bar by pool is good value . Great location as a few minutes,walk to the beach. All the facilities you need within about a 5 to 10 minute walk.

Hotel Ulisse's location is excellent. We enjoyed the "magical" view of Aragonese Castle from our terrace, as well as the clothesline that allowed the beautiful Italian sun to dry our clothes. The housekeeping staff is wonderful, and Daniele, the young waiter in the dining room, is professional and friendly. He always has a smile!

The mattresses are too firm and have a pattern imprinted on them that you can actually feel through the sheets, The single blanket on each bed is actually a bedspread (not at all soft). We requested an extra blanket and received an additional bedspread.

Location was great! Within walking distance to a wonderful area with restaurants, shops and areas to stroll. Also, a 15 minute walk to the Castle, which is in another great area with cafes and stores.Our room was comfortable, clean and quiet. There is a rooftop terrace with a beautiful view of the castle. The breakfast was the best out of our 7 different hotels that we stayed at. Eggs, bacon, yogurt, fruit, all kinds of coffee and 5-8 kinds of pastries. Great start to the day! They have 2 pools, one is bath temp and the other has cooler water. Lots of seating by the pool, and there is a snack bar to serve you as well. (They ask everyone to wear a shower cap when in the pool, THAT was my only negative.) Hotel staff, Donata, was very helpful and had lots of suggestions. She does her job perfectly! The island is easy to get around by bus. We took the bus for 5 Euro pp to go to the nearby town of Forio (great shopping!) and then to the city of St. Angelo. Well worth a half day. The prices on Ischia are great. It is truly a hidden gem, as was our Hotel Ulisse!!! Will be back!

We just didn't like the rule of wearing shower caps in the pool. Most people don't even swim, get their hair wet. It seems like an unnecessary rule.

Everything was exactly as promised. The room was very clean and the view of the sea was stunning. It was a 5 minute walk to the city centre, the hotel pool area was great and the breakfast was really good. If you like a great location, great air conditioning, great sea views and a clean room, then this hotel is your choice. I don't think very many people will be disappointed when choosing this hotel. What's more, the hotel's fantastic staff really deserve to be appreciated. If we return to Ischia again, we will not even consider any other hotel option and will recommend this to others.

The room was cleaned everyday, very efficiently. The location was between the port and the fort. The walk to the hotel from the port was uphill over cobble stones and steep so a taxi was needed with suitcases, especially in the heat. The rest of the time it was a lovely walk past restaurants and shops with lovely trees. The bus service is amazing to the rest of the island beaches. Lots of beaches but most quite small and covered in sunbeds charged by the day.

Breakfast was very short on fruit choices. The red wine at the bar was very poor.

The hotel exceeded all our expectations. Despite the fact that the hotel is small, but very well maintained, there are quite a lot of staff, everyone is always ready to help. The rooms and the entire hotel are very clean, the pool area looks amazing. There is also a shower with warm water in this area. 2 pools: 1 deeper and larger - with cool water (it was a little cold in early June), the second is smaller, with very warm water, you can turn on hydromassage jets. There is a bar with drinks at the pool area. There are enough sunbeds. The room with a large terrace had a view to the Aragonese castle and the room had a functional air conditioning. The bed is comfortable, large, comfortable to sleep in (not very soft). The breakfast is quite rich, considering that this is a 3-star hotel - we were surprised. There was a buffet with a choice of dishes: scrambled eggs, bacon, mozzarella, different types of yogurt, tomatoes, different types of bread, cheeses, jams, fruits, a separate table with sweets: croissants, various muffins, cakes, cookies. A couple of days later they sent us an email asking us whether we were satisfied and what we would like to improve. We wrote that there are not enough salads for breakfast. We didn’t even hope that they would answer us anything, but!!! It was amazing, they started bringing a bowl of green salad to our table every morning. Special thanks to hotel staff !!!

Everythin was excellent, just some thought for more improvement : as I said above it would be great to have on breakfast a choise of different salads and cut vegetables like carrot etc. A personal gym could be a plus ( you have and empty room with tables and chairs ). BTW, we used this room for bachata practices with my husband.

Staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. They spoke English to us which made things much easier. The pool was big enough for the capacity of the hotel and there were ample sun beds. The bar by the pool had a huge range of drinks and snacks and were inexpensive, and they even accommodated for coeliac. It was a handful of meters from the beach and the bus stop, and a 15 minute walk (stroll pace) to the main port and Ischia castle.

The family room was quite tight for 4 adults. it would be excellent for a young family, but can be a bit ‘in each others space’ for 4 friends or families with teenage or adult children.

Staff were lovely, special thanks to Emilio, Alfredo , and lovely girl on desk so helpful and pleasant and also the excellent housekeeping lady. Our room was spotless spacious and had an amazing view of castle, it was really something! Bathroom was also spacious shower pressure good and well supplied with toiletries. Plenty of power points in room comfortable bed and they supplied a kettle on request. Hotel interiors were immaculate and pool area very attractive with two pools one warm thermal spa pool and one cold. This is an excellent choice as location is equal distance from port or castle on foot close to shops bars and restaurants. Thank you Hotel Ulisse for a great stay.
