It was quiet. The view from our room was stunning. The outside space was great and had sun protection. AC worked well and was quiet enough during the night...(we stayed during a heatwave). The staff were very nice and friendly. We were surprised by the lovely breakfast, it was nice and fresh and had homemade goods and local honey, we very much enjoyed it. The bathroom was very clean and there were plenty of towels. The shower was good, plenty of water. The room was generally spacious, the beds were comfortable and the pillows too, we slept really well. There were lovely communal areas to eat, relax and a machine with bottled water...very handy. We visited Porto Venere and Cinque Terre from the apartment.
There wasn't anything we could fault!

The ideal base for a few days visiting the Cinque Terre, and La Spezia! We spent 3 days here, 2 visiting the Cinque Terre (the easiest train ride from La Spezia) and then one day exploring La Spezia. La Pietra provided the perfect base - but beware it is high up a steep hill just behind La Spezia town. There is a bus that runs right outside, but the times can be awkward - we ended up walking down the two mornings, and it was a gorgeous walk about 25-30 minutes to the centre of town. The view from La Pietra 1 is absolutely spectacular, overlooking La Spezia.
Be mindful if you don’t like walking that the buses have a very set timetable & a taxi will put you out €15/20. Each night we walked to the taxi rank at the train station to get home as the last bus is 8.30pm. I think it would be of benefit for the property to provide a local taxi number or have their own taxi services as it is only a 5 minute drive down to the centre of town. Due to the location of the property we had to pack a bag for the whole day as it would be too awkward to go back up and down then for dinner. The air conditioning in the room also wasn’t that great - I would find it hard to sleep during the hotter months with these conditions!

The room was clean, and we had a mini fridge inside. We also got free coffee and tea in the morning. The location is on the hill, which gives a nice view over the La Spezia harbour.
Although there are sufficient parking spaces, we would recommend that the host keeps an eye on the parking area to ensure that guests do not occupy more than one parking space, as it happend during our stay and we had to park the car on a sloped section of the road.

Upon arrival, the views from the terrace or from the window exceeded expectations. Spacious private terrace, comfortable wide beds, enough space in the shower. The room is not big for 4 people, but the whole space is sufficient. There was always warm water, the rooms were cleaned daily. It is possible to eat in the institution in the evening. Breakfast is amazing, both Italian style and Nordic style: ham, sausage, cheeses, facacia, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, yogurts and dry breakfast, juice, amazing cappuccino and espresso, good service, food replenished constantly. Here, some negative reviews have no basis. Daily 3 Italian fresh cakes, various fresh croissants, juice. Breakfast is equal to lunch, and the most important thing is fresh. The night is very quiet, no noise, the rooms are closed off - we practically did not see the neighbors except during breakfast. Very helpful and polite staff. ou can easily reach the area by car uphill, the road is not dangerous, parking is right next to the house. We highly recommend it.
There could be mosquito nets, at least on the window.

Location is simply superb, views are amazing! Consider that the abovementioned is true only if you travel by car. If you do not have your own transport, I would assume that this place is not for you since it is high in the mountains and I am not sure if you can get there using any public transportation. However, everything else is great: rooms are big (at least ours was), views are astonishing, beds are very comfy! I bet during the warmer season this place should be busy but in 'low' season we were almost the only guests there. Specifically wanted to admit the quality and taste of the tap water - it is simply great with some nice aftertaste.

Beautiful property in a breath-taking location on the hill (you need a car to get there!), from our room in La Pietra 1 we had a great view on the bay of La Spezia. Room was extremely clean and smelled super good, with balcony to fully enjoy the spectacular view. The whole staff has been super kind to us (a special mention to Rosetta!). A must stay when visiting Cinque Terre!
We had some troubles getting there as we received a message through booking.com from the property not to follow the gps recommendations but to follow their recommended route. Turned out we should have followed the gps, that was a bit confusing but at the end we managed. Absolutely no big deal!

The location is hard to get to but offers a great view. The room was spacious, nicely decorated, smelled nice and had a nice porch. Breakfast was tasty.
Check in times really didnt fit our itinerary. We had to check in before 11.30 or after 15.00 and before 19.00. We had to cut our stay at Cinque Terre short. Check out at 10.00 is also early. Breakfast is up the hill, so you also have to walk 10 min to get there. Parking is also quite difficult, they say 3 cars will fit on the parking lot, but they do not. You can hear the neighbours taking a shower like they are next to your face.

Nice room with great shower, very good dinner, but best thing was the view! Full moon and beautiful sunrise over La Spezia harbor. Host Deborah very friendly with lots of advice to help us get around town and to park for ferry to Cinque Terre.
Somewhat difficult to get to property - map on Booking.com was not accurate. Street to property was VERY tight in spots. Two flight of stairs to navigate.

The room and bathroom were nice, clean and warm, everything we needed was provided. Instructions to check in were clear and contact with the landlord very easy. The parking was safe, right at the property. Also the views from the room and property are phenomenal. We really enjoyed the stay.
The roads to get to the property are steep and narrow, for more experienced drivers but it was no problem for us.

The best view I’ve ever had!!!!Fantastic price, very hospitable, Manuels (I believe is the woman who runs it) is lovely. Everything was clean and breakfast was delicious. I couldn’t say anything negative at all.
This is not negative at all…..it has very steep curvy roads and is on the side of a very steep cliff. If you have issues with motion sickness or heights, just be aware. It’s still absolutely worth it though still. Heavy bags though could be a challenge. I would just speak with them ahead of time.
