When I take the time to write a review, it's usually because the experience I had deserves to be shared with you readers and fellow travelers who also value objective and genuine opinions. We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. The staff is incredible and helped us everywhere possible, one of the best staffs out there. Michele made everything perfect with her warm hospitality and attention to detail. The room was spotless and very clean. The bathroom was spotless, modern, and well-equipped—everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Also the breakfast buffet is outstanding as well as the overall service. Very close to everything and just a 2-minute walk from the train station, where trains depart to the Cinque Terre villages. I will definitely return in the near future!

We arrived very late at the hotel due to a luggage dilemma at the airport. The hotel WhatsApp us the information how to get in and all the details we needed on the hotel until we could proper check in the next morning. When checking in we were given lots of information on the area, transport and recommended restaurants. The lady on the front desk was always very friendly and helpful, they also provide beach towels. The room was clean and a good size, we had a double deluxe with a balcony which had table and chairs and a clothes airer, lovely view too. We were on the 3rd floor and there was a lift. The room has a mini bar fridge and all reasonably priced to what you’d pay outside the hotel. The cleaner came every day and always greeted us in the morning when we left for the day. Breakfast had a good fresh selection. Being gluten intolerant they provided me with a little packaged breakfast which came with bread, toasted bread, chocolate brioche and another sweet thing which alternates every day, after the first day as soon as we walked into the breakfast room, the lady there put it straight on our table as soon as she saw me. There were also many other options I could eat too. Fresh juice, variety of tea and coffee. Location is good, less than 2 mins walk to the train station and 5 mins walk the opposite way to the harbour. Cinque Terre Gateway is a good base in a quiet area as only a short train ride to the Cinque Terre villages and only half hour train ride to Portofino. Overall we had a good stay and wound definitely stay again if I returned to the area. Thank you to all of the staff for making us feel most welcome!

The service, amenities and hospitality was top notch. The room was absolutely amazing. Every detail was so well thought out, from the layout of the room to the house keeping. The hotel was sweet enough to have a welcoming pastry in the room beforehand so when we checked in and got up to the room we were surprised by a nice card and delicious prepared dessert. The day before we checked out to leave, the Hotel again surprised us with an assortment of little treats and a thank you card for staying with them. Every service and amenity of the hotel is accessible by their own app. I used the laundry service during the stay and the clothes were laundered and handled very nicely. I loved the fact that the floor was quiet the entire stay and there was even a filtered chilled water and ice dispenser on our floor. So nice when to refill water bottles with fresh water before heading out to explore the Cinque Terre. The Breakfast was very good, high quality of product and variety. The staff were extremely helpful & friendly. All in all I couldn't be more pleased with the stay and I will make Cinque Terre Gateway my go-to hotel stay in future visits!

We had a recent stay at the Cinque Terre Gateway. This hotel was our gateway to the Cinque Terre and provided a great base in La Spezia. The hotel is very nice, and its location just 2 minutes from the train station made it very easy to walk to. We had a Junior Suite on the top floor with a city view. Room was very clean and spacious. The complimentary buffet breakfast was excellent, featuring a variety of choices that catered well to different tastes. When we left the hotel in La Spezia, we left behind a small bag of clothes my wife had recently purchased in Venice. We were heart broken that we had left the bag behind. While we continued our trip in Rome, we emailed the hotel in La Spezia and they confirmed they had found our bag and had it in their lost and found. The hotel told us if we arranged shipping, they would be happy to assist. Once home, we arranged shipping through UPS. The staff were amazing in helping us, from answering our many questions to packing it up in a small box to applying the shipping label. Our package made it safely to us. We are very grateful to all the staff in helping us get our package back. In addition to a great stay, the staff were very helpful. We would highly recommend this hotel if you are thinking of visiting the Cinque Terre.

Great location just a few blocks from the train station and just off of the busy nightlight and restaurants which made it ideal. This place is amazing and location is great. Room was very clean and the beds are huge and comfortable. The air con works well, the showers are invigorating and the Hotel is eco friendly. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic! There was a wide variety of options to choose from – fresh fruits, delicious pastries, eggs made to order, and great coffee. Everything was beautifully presented and constantly replenished. It was the perfect way to start the day, and definitely one of the highlights of our stay! All these things are great but what makes this Hotel stand out way beyond most others is the staff. Each and every person I have dealt with here is interested, helpful, professional and at all times caring. At a time I was beginning to lose hope in the service industry but Cinque Terre Gateway has restored my faith. We have loved our unexpected time here.

We arrived early morning and were immediately seen to and offered to store luggage. Check in procedure were completed quickly and we were advised that they will attempt to give us early access to room. We were informed 3 hours before normal check in time that our room was ready and were off to a great start. We booked a room with city view and was excellent. Room was spacious and clean and serviced on time. Breakfast was great and extremely tasty - we thoroughly enjoyed it. All the staff deserve commendation but one really stood out - Michele - he was an absolute star and just made the start to our day extra special. The hotel is well located only 2 min from the train station and ferry hub - what a pleasure. We also celebrated a birthday and enjoyed the signature celebration package with cake and balloons - was very special. Overall - highly recommended and probably one of our best stays in Italy.

Our stay at Cinque Terre Gateway was nothing short of amazing! The location was perfect — just minutes from the train station, with frequent and convenient trains that made exploring incredibly easy. Our room was modern, clean, and very comfortable, providing the perfect place to relax after a day of sightseeing. The daily housekeeping kept everything spotless, and the breakfast was delicious with plenty of variety. What truly stood out was the warm and friendly staff, always going the extra mile to ensure a fantastic experience. This a simply wonderful Hotel which deserves five stars. We stayed in a beautifully appointed Double Deluxe Room with very comfortable bed, daily turn down service and all amenities that you need. The room was very clean. Each day we received warm, friendly and professional service from every member of staff we encountered. Really nothing was too much trouble and service came with a smile. Special mention to the owner gave great service and a warm welcome. Reception staff were really helpful with advice on trains and taxis. It was a very nice touch to receive a welcome bottle of Prosecco in our room and the breakfast buffet selection was very extensive and much better than many hotels we have visited over the years. Highly recommend this Hotel and would love to return.

We booked 2 nights with breakfast included. We were 2 adults with our 16 year-old daughter. The room is comfortable, very clean and it has all you need and won't break the bank. The staff was really helpful and suggested a great restaurant for the first night. The location is awesome, near the train station, it makes it perfect for a day trip to Cinque Terre. Communication with the staff in advance was great and they were helpful to get us there easily. The breakfast at this hotel was absolutely fantastic! Everything was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. I would recommend this hotel.

This place is amazing and location is great. Conveniently located a short stroll from the La Spezia station and restaurant area. Staff very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, bright, spacious and very comfortable with an opening window for fresh air. The bathroom was big with a very good shower. Breakfast area is gorgeous with a lovely selection. There is good shopping a 5 walk into an area that includes many good restaurants. A supermarket is in the next block. This is an excellent base for exploring the Cinque Terre area and we are very happy we stayed here. We heard fellow guests from Italy, France, US, Ireland, Spain, UK and Germans. The staff cheerfully engaged with them all in their native languages. We will definitely come back again.
