The hotel was within walking distance of the railway station approx 1 minute ,which was excellent for us as we used La Spezia as a base to visit Cinque Terre, Portofino etc so used the train every day. It was also however within walking distance to the town, shopping area etc and the Ferry port. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent ,a great choice of cold meats, pastries etc, hot items , bacon, eggs etc and freshly made pancakes fabulous. Very clean and gave the option of reusing the towels which I always think it a little step towards helping the environment. Couldn’t fault this hotel and would definitely use again if in La Spezia. La Spezia by the way is a nice little town with loads of great restaurants so always came there at night to eat.

Nothing really. Would have been good to have a mosquito plug in bedroom like we had in Florence hotel as my husband and I got quite badly bitten during the night. We did ask if they had one but unfortunately not. Will remember to carry one ourselves in future !!

Great position with down-town La Spezia a 10-15 stroll down a pedestrianised shopping street. Didn’t mater for me as I was driving, but the hotel is very handy for the railway station. Room was very comfortable if a little too warm. Staff throughout from reception to the waiting staff in the Terminus Cafe where I had a couple of cocktails and dinner and in the breakfast room the following morning were charming and very efficient. Jacuzzi bath was a pleasant surprise - which I used for a relaxing soak. Live jazz/pop piano music with vocals on the Saturday night I was in the Terminus Cafe where was perfectly pitched as to be entertaining while still allowing patrons to chat with no issues.

Couldn’t adjust the air con which was set far too high for me. Ended up switching it off along with a radiator in the adjoining room and opening the window. Room then at a temp I could handle.

The hotel was very close to the train station but not noisy and I felt safe. It was a few minutes walk to the main attractions, port and shopping area and there was a supermarket nearby. The hotel was beautifully decorated and there was plenty to choose from for breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful and kindly made me a coffee and packed me a breakfast for my journey when I left.

I would have liked a proper hand towel rather than the "tea towel" they provided. While I understand their wish for personal interaction with guests, it would be nice if there was a coffee machine in the breakfast room so that you have the option to help yourself if the waitress was busy. The lift is very small and old. The keyring for the room key is large, heavy and unnecessary. I only had dinner once in the Terminus Cafe and the staff were very nice but the food was not great and, in my opinion, overpriced.

The hotel is one minute from the train station which is ideal for accessing the Cinqueterre by train.It is also a 15 minute stroll to the port if you want to take a ferry there or to one of the other ports. The breakfast at the hotel is fantastic...one of the best selections I have seen in my travels. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

The only mirror is in the bathroom.Not ideal when trying to apply makeup after a shower when it's all steamed up! Also the wine in the hotel bar is very expensive at 10€ a glass. But overall our experience was very good and would definitely stay here again

Even though the 2nd Floor room #21 that we stayed in for 2 nights between May 31st and June 2nd faced the street and elevator, the sound was not a distraction. The front desk staff were exceptional and professional and even allowed us to store baggage for a few hours after checking out until we explored a few more towns in Cinqueterre and caught our evening train to Florence. We were even given the kind offer to freshen up before retrieving our luggage in storage, which we greatly appreciated.

We noticed some of the wall paper is peeling and had trouble operating the rain shower head. Otherwise, no issues.

The room was very clean, comfortable and a good size. The location was right beside the train station and it wasn’t far to walk into the centre or the harbour area. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The lobby areas of the hotel were well maintained and the breakfast room a good size.

The breakfast was good and the staff were excellent. Very friendly and welcoming. The food was very good. However we did notice on both mornings some items like fresh fruit, butter and hot water for the urn were running out completely and not being replenished quickly enough. I think it may have been because there were only two members of staff available to replenish the items. Maybe if there were more staff on hand then it might not have been an issue.

The hotel is literally a 2min walk from the train station, on the left, across the road. If you are thinking "...dodgy or noisy area...", you are wrong: wide plaza, well lit area, clean and safe street, almost brand new looks of the hotel facade, beautiful interior, cleanliness - absolutely spot on! The windows provide perfect noise insulation. The window blinds and curtains provide complete blackout (for those of you (like me) that do not like waking up with light. Free WiFi, simple to operate TV remote control, and shower tap easy to use. Few coffee shops and supermarket around the corner. The staff is genuinely friendly and willing to help.

Nothing I can remember.

The location is super convenient for a day tripping to Cinque Terre. Just a few hundred feet from the La Spezia train station. The front desk staff were very kind and helpful. They stored our baggage before check-in as well as after checkout enabling us to maximize our time in the area. Great starting and ending point for the Cinque Terre.

The rooms were warm and no way to cool them down besides opening the windows. A minor inconvenience. Due to our late arrival we had to eat dinner at the hotel restaurant which was beautiful but the food was expensive and a disappointment.

Only a two minute walk from the train station & very easy to walk to restaurants, shops, etc. Great place to stay if you want to enjoy La Spezia, or take a short train ride to Cinque Terre. Rooms had robes and slippers, and the bathroom was incredible. We had a spacious room and a very classy feel to the hotel. Seems like it is meant for a bit of an older crowd.

It was pretty pricy for the value in my opinion (not really any extra amenities, breakfast was not included), but we still enjoyed our stay overall.

The breakfast room was fabulous. It was beautiful and had everything on it that you'd want. It far exceeded our expectations. The room was comfortable and the beds were nice too.

It was nice that parking was available but it was around the corner, down a hill, through a huge door and the spots were very tight. It was extremely hard to get in and out of the parking spots and the garage in general. It took a long time and a lot of backing up and coaching to get in and out of the parking.
