After reading all the comments, I was really scared, but once I arrived and spent some time here, I couldn’t understand the negative reviews. The rooms are tidy and cleaned every day, which even surprised me — I really didn’t expect that after reading the bad feedback. If the bathroom is dirty, it’s because the residents leave it that way, since it’s cleaned daily. The bedding is changed, I believe, every two days, and the towels are changed daily. Every day they leave a small soap, a packet of shampoo, or shower gel. Maybe something was misunderstood or not to someone’s liking — there is a wardrobe but not a single hanger. Otherwise, everything suited me just fine.

We loved staying at this hotel! We arrived by train from Rome and it was such a comfort knowing that our room was just down the stairs across the street from the train station! Not only is the room right by the train station, but in 5 minutes down the street to the left is the beginning of the pedestrian main street! We could not believe the location of this place! Plus there was a bakery and grocery store right nearby. We stayed four nights and loved every one of them. The room had everything we need. The fan was great too. We are used to sleeping with a fan at home, so this was perfect. We usually stay in apartments, so a hotel was such a nice change on our trip. It was so nice to come back to the hotel after a long day of hiking the Cinque Terre to a clean room with beds that had been made and a fresh bar of soap and shampoo on our bed. The staff is sooooo friendly and warmly welcomes you with smiles and joy. A wonderful family runs this hotel. We spoke a lot especially with the daughter who speaks practically like a native English speaker. She gave us tips on where to eat and just was so warm and friendly everytime we saw her. Thank you Hotel Aurora for the wonderful experience. We would stay again!

The location is perfect, just 3 min from the train station. Frederica was very helpful and friendly. Very clean.

For a night or 2 is good and also, if you are alone, even better. If you are looking for a lush place, this hotel is definitely not for you. Very simple, no air conditioning. The neighbourhood is very noisy; I don't have a problem with this, but it is important to mention for those who can't sleep in this kind of environment.

I actually liked the hotel a lot, I really liked the bed and the room! Had a balcony which is such a +! Nice view and a chill room to myself! The staff was very polite and the location of the hotel is great, especially if you’re visiting Cinque Terra by train!

Bang across the road from the train station, perfectly located near la spezia main square where all the stores and restaurants are. Perfect to base your self if you want to explore cinque terre.

Noise of the traffic as it was on a main road but that cannot be helped.

Great location for the train station as its right opposite. Fair few shops near by for essentials. The single room i had had everything you could need. Wardrobe, desk, fan, sink and adequate balcony.

Bathroom could do with up dating. Shower wasn’t really working but at least it was hot. Mattress wasn’t all that comfortable either.

The staff are lovely, very nice people. Great location right across the street from Cinque Terra train.

It is a dated old basic lodging with shared bath but the price was fair for what it is.

I cannot relate to the complaints. Basically yes it is dated! However they keep it clean! People mona but when i compare the prices in La Spezia, you get what u pay for. Right at the station as well

Very good location. Close to the station, easy access to central and port. I could leave baggage at the reception next day during sight seeing.

No AC in the room. It's very hot in summer.
