Everything was outstanding. The staff, food, views, bed, room, service, complimentary toiletries - it was perfection!!! When checking in we were greeted with handmade lemon juice from the resort! We were so incredibly happy with our stay. The staff even upgraded our room for free because it was our honeymoon!! On site they have lemon & lime trees, SO many pools, a natural cave sauna, a great spa, and various restaurants. Just an absolutely impeccable time!

It was tough at times to find which location on site had food and when - you just need to schedule your meals accordingly and pay attention to those hours.

Service is excellent. The concierge staff were probably the most helpful of any I have ever known. The food was wonderful with breakfast deserving a special mention. We took a hotel boat out for a day and it was magical. We had lunch at Eden beach club and the boat skipper was determined to fit in everything on our list. Staff could not do enough for us throughout our stay. Drinks by the pool appeared as if by magic. The views are some of the best in the Med coupled with staff who are dedicated to making your stay unforgettable means we would def recommend and plan to return.

Room was a little small

The staff was so sweet and attentive and they upgraded us to a beautiful suite when we arrived — that kind of thing never happens! Was really special. The restaurants and food were fabulous and offered a large selection of options. The many various swimming and hot spring pools were lovely. There were stunning views of the island and ocean from every side of the resort, which sits atop a mountain. Just an amazing stay and we will definitely go back in the future!

Location was great. The hotel was spotlessly clean. Front of house staff were very helpful and always available. Hydro pools were great. Food was good and breakfast was a delight particularly for those with a sweet tooth. Lunch is great, the caprese salad and the pizzas both highly recommended.

The shuttle in and out adds a bit to inconvenience. It is always available so not so much of an issue. The Beach is a disappointment, so recommend staying by the numerous pools. The F&B and Pool staff have a rules based preference rather than an outcome system. So they would rather you use a convenient table or bed rather than your preference. This needs a bit of redirection from management.

San Montano is hands down the best hotel I’ve stayed in. The island of Ischia is so special and the location and outlook is breathtaking. The facilities, staff and experience we had here will never be beaten. We came to celebrate three years together and left engaged to be married. We can’t thank Marco and his team enough! 🌅🥂 Our 4 nights on ischia followed 6 nights in Sorrento. We visited the Amalfi coast, Napoli, Capri and more before heading to San Montano, but our time there was the highlight of our trip. We had activities planned on the island, which we cancelled when we realised how beautiful the grounds and pools are. The photos really don’t do it justice! We would recommend you visit Castello Aragonese and/or Sant’Angelo while there and there’s some lovely family run restaurants down in the town below, that the hotel runs a complimentary shuttle bus too. Make sure you book a spa treatment. We did a couples massage, which was great. Just book and you won’t regret it!

Absolutely fantastic location with breathtaking view, friendly stuff, very good breakfast and exellent restaurant open for dinner. Nice live piano music in the lobby bar in the evening, pleasant atmosphere everywere. Not far away from a small seaside town with a picturesque promenade, nice shops and very delicious restaurants

Standard rooms are tiny, the bathrooms as well. The pool stuff is unfriendly and visibly tired of you. Some days there were no bar service at the poolside, they explained that there was no connection with the bar, though the umbrellas are provided with special buttons to call the waiter. If you don't have a connection, why don't you send the waiter to the poolside to ask if anyone wants a cup of coffee, water or something else??

The location is stunning and the thermal area beautiful. Indeed one of the best hotels in Ischia.

Following our departure there was an unfortunate event that I would have never expected by a 5 stars hotel. The staff called me to say that "They forgot to charge us a salad" which actually we never took. The whole thing was very cheap and I would have never expected this by a 5 stars hotel: 1) If you forget to charge a salad in a 5 stars hotel you don't bother your guest that is travelling back considering the final bill he has already paid. 2) If you really have to do it, be sure that it was really him - I had the feeling I had to excuse myself for not having paid a salad I never took because of a mistake in their systems?

We stayed at San Montano for 3 nights of our honeymoon and had the most amazing time. It was the perfect place to relax, with great food and drinks, in beautiful surroundings. All of the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming at all times; the accommodation was so comfortable, spotless and nicely designed and they kindly upgraded our room when we arrived. Breakfast (with a wonderful view) was delicious, with lots of variety. We had the best massages we’ve ever had and the indoor spa was lovely. The shuttle system down to Lacco Ameno and San Montano Bay was excellent and so efficient. The beach itself is gorgeous! The pools and the grounds were genuinely heavenly - to have a warm bath whilst looking over sea and mountains, with the smell of lemons, rosemary, bougainvillea surrounding you is something very memorable. We chose this place based on exceptional reviews and we can see why it’s got so many. Highly recommend going here, we felt so looked after. Thank you!

Everything in this hotel, it’s fantastic, from the moment you arrived in the hotel … you fell so welcome and so calming vibes’ The hotel upgrade our room to junior suite, as we are celebrating our wedding anniversary. We had card from the hotel with all of people work sign the card …. What a surprised . Our stay was definitely 💯 per cent fantastic. I will recommend to stay in this hotel …

I appreciated the thermal pools, the stunning views, the quiet spa, the friendly stuff, the tasty food.. a combination that made it difficult to leave the place and visit the island. I am especially thankful to Giovanni, the physiotherapist/osteopath, who with his good understanding of the human body, managed to solve in 4 sessions of massages and manipulations some long lasting back and posture problems other therapists could not help me with. All in all an excellent, relaxing, rejuvenating stay I would love to repeat.
