Incredibly charming house and very well located, with a thermal swimming pool and INCREDIBLE hosts! From the check-in Franz greets you like family with a traditional homemade lemonade and gives you tips to enjoy the island like a local! I came by myself and thanks to their recommendations I discovered the most amazing spots 🫶 The breakfast is amazing too with plenty of homemade goodies, do yourself a favor and try the jams 🤤 If you want to experience the real well-known Ischian hospitality this is the place to be! I am definitely staying in la Maggioressa again on my next visit to this charming island!!!

Our family of four spent 9 nights at La Maggioressa and had a truly wonderful time! The hotel is charming and tastefully decorated, but what really made our stay special was the outstanding hospitality. We’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the entire staff for their kindness and attention to detail—especially Frantz, who picked us up from the ferry port and remained incredibly helpful and available throughout our stay. As for the location, Casamicciola isn’t the most lively area and isn’t particularly known for its beaches, but it is decently well connected by public transport, so we managed to explore the rest of the island just fine. We also appreciated being based in a quieter, less touristy part of Ischia, which came at a more affordable price. The on-site breakfast and pool were also very convenient and enjoyable touches. Overall, we highly recommend La Maggioressa to anyone visiting Ischia!

This is such a wonderful little family-run hotel and guesthouse. Franz, Lisa and the rest of his family are the most welcoming, warm hosts, attentive to all their guests and with plenty of advice and tips for what to see on Ischia. They are incredible. The hotel itself is charming and unpretentious, like an old-fashioned guesthouse, with small terraces and balconies draped in climbing plants and flowers. There is a thermal hot-spring swimming pool in the courtyard, which very relaxing after a day out. The rooms are simple, a bit dated but very clean, with air-conditioning. We had a double room with a spacious terrace overlooking the pool with mountains on one side and the sea on the other. There are single rooms for solo travellers. They are also dog-friendly which is really appreciated, and there is a resident cat called Joe who is clearly the real boss of the hotel 😊. We had a car and street parking was easy to find. The breakfast buffet included fruit, Italian cake, yogurt, cheese and ham and great coffee. The hotel also offers a delicious home-made dinner for guests every night with fresh seafood, salad, and more - this is totally worth adding to your stay at least once. It is about 10-15 minutes walk to Casamicciola port, where there are some restaurants and bars, and a couple of small beaches. We intended to spend only a couple of days and ended up extending our stay because of the fantastic atmosphere. We really want to come back.

Every aspect of this hotel was sublime. I expected to have a wonderful stay but the staff and quality of the space exceeded my expectations. I was remote working and was able to access internet all throughout the property which meant I could even work on my front porch without fail. The hotel managers were warm and inviting and truly made you feal at ease. They were friendly and helpful and made it seem like you were staying with friends. The amenities were unreal, endless outdoor porches and lounging space, beautiful flora, and a warm spa like pool to relax after a long day. The hotel is a short distance from a local beach and was nice to stay on a quiet street. There is a bar/restaurant on the bottom floor that you can ask to attend everyday. The food was fantastic and the value was unbelievable. I extended my stay an extra day, I only wish I could have stayed longer. Truly felt like I was at home from the moment I stepped onto the property.

We were very satisfied with the hotel. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of storage in our room. This is a family run hotel where the guests are made to feel very welcome and the hosts are always willing to help with advice and practical information. We were provided with the bus timetable which was hugely beneficial as this is the main transport used for getting around the island and for getting back to the hotel from the centre. It was quite easy to walk down the hill to the centre and make the return on one of the little local buses. The warm thermal pool was a great feature and big enough to swim in. Great croissants and cakes at breakfast Italian style.

The shower was just warm enough. We would have liked a hotter shower. For the benefit of guests staying for a week or longer a change to the meat and cheese selection at breakfast would be preferable.

Warm welcoming - with the best limonade, familiar atmosphere and attentive staff! Hotel looks pretty: clean and full of with plants and many pictures on the wall. The breakfast was great; especially the lemon marmalade, you can choose salty and sweet options. The breakfast menu could be more various day by day. Additionally, if you want to eat authentic Italian food, you do not have to go out, they serve dinner as well. I wish I could eat lunch there as well. It is hard to not highlight Franz, he was caring and easily available all the time. Strongly recommended if you visit Ischia!!! :))

We really loved this hotel. Franz and his mum were so kind and helpful, we noticed that they engaged with all guests to make sure everyone was happy. This is the best service you can get. Franz greeted us with lots of information about the island and gave us a really useful map and bus timetable. His mum gave us an amazing cold fresh drink made with lemons grown by themselves. Our room was comfortable, clean and the terrace was amazing with sun loungers.table and chairs. We used the thermal pool which was so relaxing. This little hotel was decorated tastefully, very welcoming and homely around every corner there are beautiful plants, vases, pictures, ornaments and mirrors. The floor tiles throughout are beautiful. Each room has a quirky little area on the outside making it interesting to walk through, we had a little bookcase right outside the room. The breakfast was delicious! We had fresh fruit. Yoghurts, croissant, juice and coffee every day, there is also options of eggs. Ham, cheese, and lots of sweet pies, biscuits and cake.The bus stops right outside the hotel taking you from cassimicola terme. At the fountain we took bus to ischia porte, forio, San Angelo, Poseidon, laco ameno so it was very easy for us to visit the rest of the island. We recommend this hotel to everyone.Thankyou to Franz and his mum who made our stay special.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Ischia! The place is beautiful, very clean, and well-maintained. The dinner served at the hotel was also absolutely delicious – a real highlight of our stay. Franz, the host, and his family were incredibly kind and helpful. They gave us fantastic recommendations for local restaurants, the best beaches to visit, and other great spots around the island. We were very satisfied with everything and would love to come back again. Highly recommended!

I so appreciated the warm welcome from lovely staff. Never been greeted so beautifully & I've visited 17 countries so far. Breakfast was a feast! The buffet had everything you might want, including delicious homemade cakes. I had a problem with my booking but the hotel solved it quickly & professionally. I was very impressed with Franz & the team. Really good, kind people.

Steep steps, but it's just the design of the hotel! Sadly, also, the surrounding area is not great as there was a devastating landslide 2 years ago & many buildings are half demolished or empty. But it's only a short walk down to the lively port & buses run regularly.

Excellent hosts. They were taking care of us to a detail. Very relaxed atmosphere. We also liked the idea that in addition to breakfast that was included into the price of the accommodation, the hotel offers a 4 course dinner for an additional very reasonable price. They have an excellent chef on the premises and the food is delicious. Another point we liked is a thermal pool. Very pleasant and well kept.
